$24 for pad Thai chicken is crazy $$. Just not in the realm of anywhere else. Especially when next noodle item with beef is $19 (pad Thai is $17 plus $7 for chicken). Didn’t not ordered it because of that and only got a couple apps

My husbands cocktail was super icy (almost no drink, all ice) and it slipped out of his hand and broke. They provided him another icy drink but charged us for both drinks. I have never had a restaurant do that. $14 cocktail x 2, can you give us a break? We go there all the time but now question it.

Our server was the sweetest. Our pad Thai was not delicious. It barely resembled pad Thai. It was kind of an insult to actual pad Thai to be named that. Weird sauce, huge weird scrambled eggs like bfast in it and other unmentionables. Did I mention our service was great?

Clever Koi is awesome. The central Phoenix location is our go-to when we want reasonably priced tasty food. The Gilbert location didn’t disappoint when we needed a spot that direction. Great options for omnivores, pescatarians, and vegetarians. Try it, you won’t regret it.

This such great place to just hang out and enjoy drinks or have a nice meal. It's a small menu but very delicious. The fun thing to do is try to work through the drink menu.

My wife and I have dined at the Clever Koi several times and it is always excellent. We especially love the dumplings (short ribs) and the banana fritters with vanilla ice cream were excellent! We also like the location of the restaurant and we always highly recommend it to our friends and family.

The food was very good. But the wait time for food was very long, maybe 45 minutes. With the concrete floor, it's a noisy atmosphere. It probably would be better on a less busy night (this was a Saturday).

We shared the Thai salad and Shaking beef. The salad was delicious. Crispy, tangy and a nice hit of spice. The Shaken beef was just okay. It tasted a little like it had been fried in old oil and some pieces were really fatty and chewy. We wouldn't get it again. The drinks were great. We had the Gimlet and the Moscow Mule. Neither were like the traditional drink; they had their own spin on them both, but very good! We had a couple different servers, but the main guy seemed like he'd rather be anywhere but there..he kinda seemed miserable. Everyone else was super friendly and helpful.

Very thing was great. Went on a Tuesday. Only negative was there’s a special tuesdays and wednesdays and our server rang up us full price and handed us the check and said “do you want to check the check” and then we realized the discount wasn’t applied and had to send the check back. It seemed sketchy.

Food was just okay. Short rib dumplings kind of mealy. Not nearly the quality they were in the past. Thai salad has WAAY too much cabbage. It’s crying out for more herbs—maybe mint, maybe some pickled cucumber. Dressing too thick and bland. Lemongrass chicken was good.

We waited for over an hour for our food with no apology, just "oh, do you want more drinks since your food is taking so long." For a sandwich and steamed buns. Our total visit ended up taking an over an hour and a half!

The variety of food and drinks were amazing and all were tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a change in their food routine. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars in every category was because our waiter was distracted and we couldn’t get their attention for a refill on our water.

I’ve been here quite a few times and I’ve never experienced such poor service. It actually took an hour for our food to hit the table. I try to be patient when it come to the service industry because that’s my world as well, but no food is worth sitting for and hour to eat. Our server realized how long we had been waiting and just avoided the table because he could see we were getting annoyed but he was very responsive when it came time to pay the bill. I don’t know what was going on Saturday night but I’d definitely show this to the staff to avoid repeating a night like this.

I took my mom to celebrate her 70th birthday. I explained the reason for our visit in our reservation. Not one person at Clever Koi mentioned the occasion, let alone wished her a happy birthday. To me, there is a disconnect when Open Table asks for special occasion information and the restaurant fails to acknowledge the special moment in any way.

After having an issue the 1st time we went a few months ago with cross contamination of gluten, I have to say Clever Koi Gilbert made up for it 10 fold!! We spoke with CJ upon arrival to explain our past experience and WOW did he make things right and assure us this would not happen again! We were thoroughly impressed!! Each person that delivered a dish to our table knew who had the gluten allergy and explained which dish had gluten and which did not! We were so thankful for CJ and that he spoke to the good runners and our server! What a delightful experience!! All of the food was FANTASTIC!! We can’t wait to return!! Thai salad-AMAZING!! Gluten free chilled sesame noodles were DELICIOUS! Pork ramen YUM! Cocktails were so refreshing! 5 STARS across the board!! Thank you Clever Koi for a great dinner and making us excited to return!!
