    Nice grand setting. Food was well presented and very tasty. The service was great. Recommendations - needed a spoon for the dessert; would like to have had the scones served traditionally with clotted cream and strawberry preserve. Finally, would like to have been offered the option to have another tea not the same tea throughout just topped up hot water. Would definitely return.

    Imagine my surprise of a quote of $90 per person, so approx $400 for four people and then one bottle of champagne brought my total for four people to $740?!?! Plus tip bringing it to $850 for a few tiny sandwiches and tea that costs Pennie’s? It was my mothers 80th bday so I couldn’t act mad I front of her but I can’t believe I paid $850 for tea. Nuts. Will never do it again. Rip off. Extremely disappointed.

    Excellent tea service - both food and tea were very good. The only negative relates to the fact that the tea service is conducted in the central lobby of the hotel, so the noise and bustling of people detracts from the experience.

    The view and ambiance were nice, however for the price the food was not enough and there were times my friends and I were sitting and had no tea. We didn't get our tea refilled for long periods of time knowing the place was pretty empty not busy at all.

    Staff were amazing! My issues were that it's overpriced (same price as tea at Lake Louise but there you have an outstanding view), and as it is in the middle of the lobby the noise and lack of ambience were definitely noticeable.

    Of all the places I’ve had high tea and that includes England — this was the very best food.  The ambience was great and the service was exceptional.  The tea was wonderful.  Highly recommend you go up the stairs and look at all the pictures that portray the history of the Fairmont. The only discouragement was the price — it’s a little pricey.

    Quality of the high tea is mediocre at best. Croissants are not crispy, the scones are too soft and the butter cream is tasteless, the buns of the slider are soggy, the rest are average at best. Overrated.

    High tea has become a true hobby of mine since my sister and I travelled in England and Ireland. This has been the closest within Ontario that we have gotten to our experiences at the Ritz and Ashford Castle in Europe. The food was wonderful and the service and ambience was truly special. Our server even surprised us with a speciality birthday cocktail which was such a treat. We will most definitely be back!

    One of my favourite afternoon tea spots in Toronto. It is absolutely perfect. The service is excellent servers are very professional, kind and explained everything along the way, even explained every single food item we received. Each food item was high end and well balanced between sweet items and savoury. The taste was absolutely amazing, from the food to the tea and mimosas. The silverware and plating was absolutely beautiful, and the location of the restaurant in the fairmont was perfect. The ambiance was lovely with piano music in the background. Overall my favourite afternoon tea and will definitely be back!

    Service was prompt, staff were attentive and friendly. One of our party is vegetarian and staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Vegetarian options were every bit as savoury and delicious as the regular fare. Ambience was elegant yet welcoming and comfortable. Such a special treat! We will definitely be back.

    I was celebrating my birthday, and I had an absolutely WONDERFUL experience at Clockwork. Dermot was my server, and I felt incredibly spoiled. The food, the champagne, and the ambiance exceeded my every expectation. Thank you so much for making my 30th the best birthday yet!

    If you have a more plain palette, this isn’t the place for you. The service and ambience are fantastic, the food is visually appealing. If you are used to high end dining and unique flavours, you would likely appreciate the sandwiches more.

    My sister was visiting from England and I thought this was an opportunity for her to experience a Canadian afternoon tea. It was a huge success and she wishes afternoon teas in England were like the Clockwork. It’s my second time for the afternoon tea and I was not disappointed! I recommend everyone try it!

    Amazing service. They created a special menu just for me (vegetarian). Very creative! Only downside was the noise of the people checking in on one side, which made conversation a bit difficult despite the intimate seating. Despite that, would definitely do this again (and request different seating).

    By far the best afternoon tea in the city! I have never quite found a place that can offer a delicious authentic gluten-free afternoon tea until now. It was perfect! Thank you Clockwork. I can’t wait to return.

    Service is outstanding. As a first time visitor, I was surprised to learn that the restaurant was in the middle of the lobby. The setting is quaint but not special. The piano is a lovely touch to help the ambience. The tea is fine, however the food left much to be desired. My previous experience at the Library bar was memorable and inspired me to return. On this occasion, I don’t feel a return visit is necessary.

    Great tea sessions. I have been to many all over the world. Very often disappointed but not this time. 2 people velvety booth were awesome and quite comfortable. The presentation did not disappoint nor did the tea. As for the food. Everything was very well executed except for one thing, the “verrière” the consistency was text book but that was it. Not very colourful, only one dimension flavour wise, sweet. I would of loved and great contrast in colour with half being acidic/sour/ tart fruit. More exciting topping. Other than this one little thing we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend and return. Nice work.

    I went for a business lunch. The food was outstanding especially the fries, probably some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. My custom cocktail was delicious and beautiful. Service was fast and attentive. Overall experience for a business lunch was 5 star!!!
