   Honestly the food presentation was wonderful but the balance of flavours was not there. Always an overpowering sweetness to everything which made it much less enjoyable. Very accommodating for my food allergies. However, 3 mimosas and 3 mediocre high tea experiences for $480 just doesn't sit right. Would much rather go out for a nice dinner at canoe, or Don Alfonso when getting into those prices. The tea was also very good.

   Underwhelming experience. As a fan of the Fairmont Hotels and Afternoon Tea Lover, I found the food to be mediocre and subpar for the price point ($89pp) and venue. Service was good as expected. Disappointed that they did not/do not accept OpenTable dining cheques!

   It was my mom and myself's first time having afternoon tea, as a belated Mother's Day gift. At $89+tax+tips, it was expensive, but I found that it was an extremely worthwhile once-in-a-while treat, and mom definitely deserved it! The ambiance was impeccable. The hotel was beautifully renovated just before the pandemic and as a fan of art déco, I absolutely loved the style and furnishings. The seat was very comfortable. And the food was amazing! The scones were so soft. My favourite was the bright-red rhubarb & strawberry mousse, suitably placed at the top tier of the tray. The tray itself was a modern spin on the traditional style, with metal layers instead of plates, which fit the art déco style very well. I must also mention the service. We were served by Liah, who is an exemplar of service! She was attentive without being intrusive, and took care of us throughout the meal. She took the time to name the foods on the tray. Upon learning that my mom preferred stronger teas, even though we had already received our initially chosen teas, she recommended and offered us a new pot of bazaar spice, a stronger flavoured tea for my mom. We were never rushed, and at the end of the meal, she gracefully offered my mom a small present courtesy of the hotel. Liah deserves a shoutout. Overall, the ambiance, the food, and the service all made for a memorable experience, and it lived up to the Fairmont name. I would love to come back for another special occasion, and try afternoon teas at other locations in the future as well.

    Took my mother here for afternoon tea. We felt welcomed at every point of the experience. The selection of teas were fantastic! There is something there for every taste. They also accommodated our dietary restrictions and offered us substitutes to some of the items. Even though we had an hour and a half seating, we were not rushed at all. Would definitely highly recommend this experience. It was well worth the price tag!

    Really pleasant experience! We originally thought it would be 89$ per person for one singular tea set — so we were quite pleasantly surprised to learn that we each get our own individual one. It made the price a lot better. Service was also accommodating and organized. Admittedly, the mimosas were a bit on the pricey side. But overall, pretty fun.

    We had the most amazing time at afternoon tea! I took my Mum and she love it as well. I am pregnant and have a shellfish allergy and my entire food selection was redone specially for me. It was so lovely and I appreciated the extra mile so much. It was all so very delicious and the tea was so so good. My Mum loved her Ice Wine tea so we asked to purchase some, our server said unfortunately, no. Then on our way out one of our lovely servers gave my Mum 2 yes bags to take home. It was so wonderful and my Mum cried, haha! We will definitely be back one day. Thank you thank you thank you!

    We enjoyed the Mother’s Day afternoon tea. A great variety of sandwiches, scones and desserts with delicious teas and cocktails. A lovely parting gift for guests. Beautiful ambiance with the piano accompanist.

    We were a large group so we appreciated being seated together. Server was lovely but a bit slow with drinks and food for everyone. Also very slow with our bills, but she was very polite and accommodating.

    My out of town friend and I had a fabulous tea at the Clockworks. Everything is as perfect as it could be and we had a wonderful time catching up with recent events and home gossips. We came out refreshed and left happily.

    The reservation required a credit card. But this credit card was not charged and a payment was still required post seating. A little confusing as the waiter who brought our leftovers did not bring the tap machine. Either the waiter needs to be a little more attentive or OpenTable needs to share credit card info with restaurant to avoid embarrassing situations.

    A decent value. With three glasses of wine and two entrees, a $170 lunch. A bit noisy but very pleasant ambience in the middle of the Royal York. Reasonable food for a more mainstream hotel restaurant, with good gluten-free options. I would definitely recommend this place, though hesitate to say highly simply due to the lackluster food quality for the price point.

    Cannot accommodate more than 4 people very well as seating ends up not being together. They do not have a children's menu. It's located in the middle of the hotel lobby rather than in its own room so the ambiance is not what you would hope for afternoon tea. Service was great but the experience isn't one I would recommend for afternoon tea.

    Great experience, it was raining out side and we had to change table's as my wife got dripped on. The staff did this without hesitation. Staff are friendly and yo can switch teas but they don't appear to like doing this and only want to fill up your original tea.

    High tea at Clockwork was an amazing experience from start to end. Delectable, gorgeous, and filling - the food was beautiful to look at, delicious to eat and the entire plateaus were an interactive delight. Service was thoroughly impressive and attentive. Worth every penny & we'll be going again for sure! I'm diabetic and on very short notice they found several ways to accommodate me, and were very thorough in their care when something could not be substituted outright. They even made a batch of jam with less sugar just for me! <3

    The overall experience was lovely. Service and ambiance were really nice. The food in my opinion could have been better, there was a lot of strong flavours and if someone is a picky eater they may have a difficult time! The tea was yummy. Overall it was very nice.
