   Our first Mother's Day Brunch here and based on previous reviews we were really looking forward to it but ended up very disappointed. Huge line up to get in. Long waits for omelettes and eggs benny. Buffet tables spread so far apart that food was cold by the time you collected and returned to your table. Background music was the worst part, making for a terrible ambience. Machine generated techno chords looping over and over and over while a lone person occasionally strummed on their guitar. The music was also very loud, making casual conversation almost impossible. Service was subpar as we had to hunt down an attendant every time to order drinks. This was a very overpriced experience that we won't be repeating.

    We loved our Sunday brunch at Coast Hotel. The buffet spread was amazing with a huge variety of dishes, from breakfast to lunch items. The food was hot and fresh. There were bacon, scrambled eggs, fish, waffles, sushi, dim sum, soup, omelette station, eggs Benedict station, carved meats, shrimp cocktail, mussels, cold cuts and cheese and a variety of salad dishes. In the hallway outside the ballroom were delicious deserts and smoothies with a chocolate fondue station. The deserts were delightfully presented, especially the chocolate mouse cupcakes were in tiny pots like a potted plant, complete with dark chocolate crumbs looking like soil, topped with a blue berry and mint leaf. The ballroom with white table cloths and numbers were well presented, clean and inviting. The seating was comfortable, not too tight to each other and enough room to walk around tables. The service was excellent and waiters were very attentive to our needs. The waiters brought our drink order and refilled our tea pots with hot water a few times. Juice, tea and coffee are included. The guitarist was good, added to the ambience of the room however the volume could have been turned down a few notches. We couldn't hear each other speak properly, it could have been more subtle in the background. The music could have been mixed with a piano player, I think that would have been more suitable to a brunch like atmosphere and added to a more relaxed experience. The washrooms were big and clean, especially the size of the handicapped washrooms. It made it much easier for our 98 year old Mom to use with her walker. The price of the brunch was well worth the money, especially with a seniors discount. Overall we enjoyed our brunch experience and will return for another delightful Sunday brunch. Thank you.
