There were 4 dinners at our table. 2 dinners were very happy with their meals. My wife and I had the smoky ribs which we frequently order enjoying them in the past. On this occasion however the ribs were only Luke warm and the potatoes were cold . The ribs were still very tasty and tender however very disappointing.

Staff is nice. Food was good. Nice view. Glad it was open on a Monday afternoon as not a lot of restaurants in town seem to be.

Great food and service! Will be back, they were out of the duck wings tho which was a little disappointing but the rest of the food was brilliant. Great cocktails too!

The Sangria would benefit from a little salt to cut the acid and a little sugar for the bitterness, that's just my personal taste. The beef on lettuce leaf was too spicy.

The duck wings were amazing! And I loved the non alcoholic turmeric spritzer. It’s rare that I can find a fancy drink that works for me. We’ll be back!

Lovely place to eat. Food clearly fresh and carefully prepared. Lovely atmosphere,service and lovely views from the veranda. I would recommend.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The server was friendly and helpful (sorry I did not get his name, but he was Francophone) I always enjoy eating here. I had a delicious squash curry soup with 2 grilled cheese bites that were like little sandwiches. I was disappointed that See Ya Later wine was no longer offered but had a very average Sauvignon Blanc (NZ) I will be back!

Disappointed that I made a reservation and asked to be seated on the deck. arrived to find I was seated inside. Told by server that reservations are not honored on the deck with no explanation why not. Reservation website did not state that. Due to excessive noise level inside...will not be back

We started eating at Coastal Cookery because Costa Del Sol (across the street) was closed. What a happy turn of events. The food is original but, more importantly, well sourced.

We thought the food was great, minus the Thai bowl which was flavourless. Beer can chicken, smash burgers, wedge salad with tofu were all great. We felt the drinks were not a good value as we’ve never seen ice to the very top of a $13 drink before with a very small amount of actual drink. Our young, male waiter was excellent, and had an awesome head of hair to boot - lol. The air conditioner seemed to be broken or not in use so the temperature was quite uncomfortable and we were all sweating. I would come back again, but only if they turn the air con on.

A friendly place with lots of light and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The deck has a nice view of the Sea. The food is consistently good and the servers are courteous and prompt.

Consistently good food, and good service - sometimes it gets a bit busy so you may have to wait for the server. The noise can be excessive and can make it difficult to have a regular volume conversation.

Visiting PR for a couple days. We went for lunch a couple days before it was yummy, so we came back for dinner a couple days later. We had the chicken waffles with the hot sauce on the side. I had mine with bun instead of the waffle. It was soo delicious! As in most restaurants there is understaffing. So getting refills and cheque took a little longer than normal.

Well thought out menu offered fresh local seafood and great flavour. Friends suggested Coastal Cookery is the place to go in Powell River and we agree wholeheartedly. Easy reservations, and we lucked out for a patio table upon arrival. We'll definitely be back again !

We ordered truffle fries to start, but our server never put it in the system. They were nothing special so I kinda wish we never brought up that we ordered them and never got them when our main arrived. Not a fan of their thick cut fries…just underwhelming compared to other places that have truffle fries on their menu. My friend had the chicken wings and our server brought three different sauces (parm/bbq/hot sauce) to try since she couldn’t decide what flavour to get. I got the Rendang beef ribs. So delicious! Would come again just for that main! If you get one thing from here, definitely order that. For dessert we got the cream puff trio. I would not order that again. We only ate two out of the three cream puffs as they didn’t taste very good. Seemed over cooked. They pair it with pineapple, mint and white chocolate. It would have been okay, if they didn’t add the mint leaves. The pineapple seemed out of place and did not add to the dish in any way. The pineapple was not sweet(nothing worse than a unripe fruit). The drinks really stole the show here. I am a sucker for a sweet summer drink. I ordered the Tropical T and Flyin’ Hawaiian. Service was just okay. Our server forgot to put in our truffle fries and never brought us water. Still tipped 20% tho because they seemed pretty busy and the bartender aced our drinks and the main made up for everything else. I would come back here simply for the mains and drinks alone.

Absolutely lovely experience! I was so worried to bring my kid, who is quiet and chill tho, but she wasn’t the only one there and it gave a friendly and family friendly atmosphere. Good energy and everyone was just enjoying themselves and no nasty looks or patrons. Great and yummy menu too! I tried something new and the kids menu was great and you got a lot for the price! Our server was thoughtful and brought us glasses and items we wouldn’t have thought of that were handy. Great drinks, great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I will be going back!

We had dinner at Coastal Cookery and everything was fantastic! We had a little bit of everything off the menu and it was all delicious. Our server, Raeann, was very attentive and knowledgeable! And the manager, Tenille, went above and beyond! A must eat when visiting Powell River.

Incredible food. Incredible service. Great views. My mom and I had the Wagyu beef ribs and they literally fell off the bone. Will have them again for sure. The hummus appetizer was anything but your “regular hummus”. The addition of cucumber bites, crispy chick peas and crunchy cashews with a hint of heat at the end makes it unique and an appie I’ll definitely order next time. 100% recommend Coastal Cookery!
