This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in Ottawa! The food is delicious, and the menu offers more interesting variety than they usual standards. The service is amazing, very attentive personnel. The ambiance is muted and elegant, and the noise level low enough to carry a normal conversation. We loved it and will be back!

My husband and I went to Coconut Lagoon for the first time since the renovation. I have one word to describe everything, and that word is OUTSTANDING !!!! Place was beautiful,Service was excellent and the food was so well seasoned and elegantly plated. It was like layers of flavour bursting in our mouths. We started with the chili seared sea scallops and a glass of red wine, then we shared the masala seared red snapper and alleppey salmon curry with a side of basmati rice and kerala parotta bread. We ended the night with there cardamom chai and Kerala filtered coffee. We will definitely be back again soon !

This was our first time experiencing this restaurant and style of food. To maximize the experience, my wife and I had the 6-course tasting menu. Each course was full of flavour and absolutely delicious. Our server and maitre d’ were engaging and informative. The whole experience made our anniversary celebration a memorable one. We will definitely go back again.

Last time we ate there was before covid, what a beautiful refreshed look. Service excellent, food was to die for..really good ambiance..Price ..a bit more expensive, but it was worth it. It was my wife birthday and had noted it in my reservation, everybody that dealt with us wished her a happy bday, and a nice desert was goven to herbwith a lighted candle.. a real nice attention from their part. I would definitly reccomend..

Tue food was absolutely incredible. Everybody loved their meals. The wait staff were extremely professional and we had a wonderful birthday celebration for my mom. She loved the mousse! We will definitely be back.

The service was exceptional and the visual ambiance was wonderful. The restaurant is so nice that it feels intimate, but the place was full of people and conversation which did make it difficult to hear each other. I appreciated the sound absorbers on the walls as they did help to dampen the overall noise of conversations from other tables. I wonder if more sound absorbers around table barriers would help as well. Food was very good. We ordered the kfc appetizer as well as the pappadum, and for dinners, we ordered the chef special (lamb shank), mushroom curry, beef & potato curry, and chicken biryani. Everything tasted very fresh, not heavy, and very unique! How could I forget -- we also ordered parotta (naan). The parotta was the BEST we have ever had anywhere. I would go back just for this. The chicken and the beef were a bit overcooked in our opinion, but maybe that is the kerala style? We felt the meat could have been a little more tender if cooked a bit less. The lamp shank could actually have used a bit more cooking to help it fall off the bone more. The mushroom curry was spot on. Everyone in the party was very happy overall, and we will all come back again when we can.

My boyfriend and I went to Coconut Lagoon for the first time last night to celebrate his birthday and the entire experience was incredible! The food was absolutely delicious and each of their staff go above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and taken care of. Great food value as well. We will most certainly be coming back.

I haven’t been since it was the buffet and what a nice surprise! The ambience, food and the service was that of a 5 star restaurant. The food was excellent and I will definitely return and bring others with me that’s how impressed I was. The decor was so beautiful and upscale. I give it a 5 star for sure. My only request is that there would be another chicken option with more spice otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the experience! A big thanks to the staff as well as they were very attentive tabs friendly. Will be back soon!

Very disappointing. Food was very average and prices too high. The lamb chops (appetizer) were way too salty. The scallops (appetizer) were very small and slightly overcooked. The shrimps Moille were ok but I have had better at other restaurants. Overpriced rice was not included with the main dishes. Good service. New decor very sterile. Will not go back.
