    Food was amazing. Better than Vikram Vij’s in Vancouver, I think. The inside of the restaurant is lovely- the only drawback was the noise on the patio, it’s along a busy street and there was a ton of traffic noise, sirens etc. putting the patio along the side or back might be better but otherwise everything about this place was top-notch- rave review!

    Always a treat that never gets tired! This is by far the best Indian food ever. I also bought the new cook book while I was at the restaurant. Having made almost every dish in the first cookbook I am looking forward to these new recipes.

    Dishes were refined but most were strikingly bland. Adding salt improved the taste considerably and made the various flavours within the dishes more distinct. We had to wait for a while for the salt but, otherwise, the service was attentive and prompt. My main complaint is that the portion sizes were very small given the price. Some dishes had so little meat (ex.: lobster dish at $39) that sharing amongst the four guests was tricky and uncomfortable. This being said, the dishes were beautifully presented and the sides were perfect (basmati, raita and kerala parotta)!

    The three of us enjoyed the Kerala tasting menu with the matching wines. Even the palate cleansing lime sorbet was outstanding. The service was attentive and we learned a lot about the wine selection to match the food. We will return.

    Coconut Lagoon has always served excellent food, but has now transformed itself into an elegant dining establishment, perfect for an evening out. The food is still excellent. The emphasis is on South Indian cuisine, making it familiar yet different to those who appreciate Indian food.

    It is a culinary and dining experience that one would want every time they dine out. The manager and staff are very professional, friendly and attentive and somehow reflect the ambience of the space and create the spirit of hospitality Coconut Lagoon is known for. The food is a sensory delight. Representation is beautiful and the aromas amazing. But chef Thottungal's creations go to the next level when tasting the dishes; the various textures and the flavours of the different spices and ingredients, unfold on the taste buds in a way that heightens the entire experience. I can't wait to go back!

    We have always loved coming to Coconut Lagoon in the past. We decided to have a special evening lady night with my parents. The staff was helpful, polite, curtious and patient. We will definitely be back for special occasions or just on a night out. Reservations are strongly encouraged.

    I really liked the new look of the place and the terrace. The service was excellent and discreet. The food is always amazing. The scallops, as tender as can be, came with a sauce so good that you don't want to let go of your plate. The salmon was delicious and the portion generous. A lovely experience once again.
