We went to Cocotte for our wedding anniversary and before a show at the NAC. We were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server, Alex, was absolutely phenomenal. He checked in regularly, and was very professional and personable. The food was delicious and beautifully plated. Everything surpassed our expectations, we had a great evening. The ambiance was quiet and intimate, and while the courses came out slowly, it was very European and exactly the atmosphere we were looking for.

Service really needs improvement. We were ignored for the first 30 minutes, then we received the wrong appetizers, then our server came back to re-take our orders, and many items weren’t available from the menu. All in all, disappointing.

Arrived at 7:00 and did not get our dinner until 9:30. Our server seemed knowledgeable but was not around much and offered no apologies for the extremely long just that the kitchen was backed up. The restaurant was perhaps 30% seated at the time. Very disappointed as we were celebrating two birthdays.

They messed up our orders, their bellinis are just juice no ice with liquor. I asked for my egg to be fully cooked and fried i got a runny egg. We asked for extra crispy potatoes the potatoes we got were baked not fried. The overall esthetic/staff is lovely cute but the food is standard pretty basic for a french bistro. 3.5/5 rating is fair

Food was tasty and good but the size of the plates were quite small for brunch. I wasn’t impressed with the coffees. I think hiring a trained Barista for Brunch would be a good idea.

The décor is very sunny and beautiful, with exceptional floor tiles! Our server was also exceptional (Panagiota), in the sense that she was very personable, natural and sweet. My Niçoise salad was very French with excellent anchovies, and other ingredients of quality. I enjoyed also the coffee.

We had a great Sunday brunch at Cocotte Bistro recently. It was our first time visiting and we really enjoyed the open, atrium-style ambience. The food and drinks were also prepared to our specifications. Would return and would recommend a visit.

I like the place and service but food recently changed in such a way that I no longer can come for dinner. There are not many vegan dishes and the only main on the menu now (Beluga lentil Harira) doesn't taste nearly as good as the previous dish did and there's not as much protein in it as there was before.

Food was ok. We took tartares but there was way too much onions. The plates seaplaters was good but the chef forgot to put the caviar and the fish rilet. The server got us the caviar and oyester to compensate. Server was good.

Dinner was good. Nice location. Enough space between tables, which is an upside to post-Covid days. Service was good - we were not rushed at all. Server showed proper etiquette, which was nice to see. The Cesar green bean salad was good but overpriced for what it was. Enjoyed the arctic chat but the couscous had little flavour. Steak frites were good. Burger was amazing. It’s a bit pricey but it was quite good. We would return. Not sure I’d sit on the patio as it’s a busy street…

When we arrived, at 6pm, it was nice and quiet. The restaurant is huge and looks amazing. The menu looked incredible. Our server was always in a hurry and didn't ask much questions or offer much help. But overall it was good service. I had the beef tartare as a meal and the tartare itself was scrumptious and so were the fries with aioli but... It came with an actual bagel. It was a sesame toasted bagel, but it was cold and looked quite out of place on my plate. It looked and felt cheap. It should absolutely be replaced by crispy delicate gourmet crackers or rusks. I left most of it there as I felt it was completely out of place. By the time we left (we were only 2), we almost had to scream it was so loud/busy in there. The experience was good overall.

Cannot recommend this place. Although the service was great, the food was not. The Duck Confit and the Cornish Hen dishes were fine, but the Filet Mignons were completely overcooked. Since the filet is the most expensive dish on their menu, it's particularly egregious how awful it was. We ordered a rare filet mignon and a medium-rare filet mignon. Both came out medium-well to well-done. The center was brown with a faint hint of pink. The edges were completely brown and hard. I couldn't finish mine because it was so tough. I've actually never had a tenderloin cooked this poorly in my life. The server offered to take the steaks back, but I didn't take her up on the offer. We were a party of 5 and I didn't want to have the bad experience of some people eating while others waited. My wife, whose birthday we were celebrating, doesn't like it when I make a scene, so I didn't push to get these expensive pieces of rubber taken off the bill. The saving grace was that my wife ordered the Duck Confit and thoroughly enjoyed it, which was the important thing on that day. As for me, I'm voting with my feet and will not come back.

The veal cheek was swiming in a fatty sauce, would of been nice to have just a bit of sauce and the veggies seperate instead of having them in tiny pieces in the sauce. The ris de veau was not well prepared, the nerves were still there, very chewy. The beef tartare came on a bagel??? Nothing french about that….and way too much mustard in the tartare. My hysband is still not sure if he really had Artic Chard, it looked more like salmon and was tastlest. Furthermore, it was served with lots of couscous, no veggies, very, very simple presentation.

Excellent breakfast! There were 5 of us. Everyone enjoyed their food -- and no one had any complaints. We had the American, the smashed avo, the omelette and the eggy bun. All good! The coffee, however, was bitter (even in drinks with milk like the long flat), and the milk froth wasnt up to current cafe standards. (No nice hearts or leaf designs). Coffee was also less than luke warm. Tea pots weren't filled with water, but Pluck tea is nice! Service was pleasant and efficient. Design of the restaurant is gorgeous.

I chose this restaurant for our pre show dinner because it had been recommended by a family member. We were not disappointed. Their Caesar salad with a twist was amazing and the steak frites was so incredibly delicious I would go back today and have it again. Everyone in our party of 6 really enjoyed their meals. Service was fabulous and the ambiance in the restaurant was pleasing. You must try this place, you won’t regret it.

I was extremely disappointed with my time at Cocotte. I had made a reservation two weeks ahead of time for a birthday dinner for my wife and I. We were seated by the hostess, and then we left after 25 minutes because no server came to take our order or even acknowledged our presence. No water, no drinks, no food, nothing. Tables that were seated after us were served, but not ours. I've never had this happen before, and I used to think reviews like this were fake because it seems unfathomable that this could happen. I was very much looking forward to trying this french bistro. The food at least looked good going to the tables around us, but we'll never know.
