   We’ve been dining at this location once a year, every year since it opened, and yesterday was the best experience to date. We usually go in the fall or winter months, and now I’m certain I need to go in the summer when the patio is open… bring on the margaritas 😎🍹 We had the poquitos, enchiladas, tacos, quesadillas and churros. The poquitos were fantastic, and the churros were pure perfection 👌🏻 Service was excellent and lightning speed! We had 3 courses in 45 mins! I would award 5 stars, but for the seating. The chairs are metal and no padding so not very comfortable, especially when you have a bad back. I’m really looking forward to enjoying a jug of margaritas on their patio when the pedestrian mall reopens this summer 🤗

   I went for supper with my bf and it was perfect. I’ve always loved the food and the staff are so kind and welcoming. Also it was taco Tuesday so that was a nice surprise. The food is amazing

   Delicious meals and excellent service! The moose taquitos and the churros were our favourites. They have Corona on draught which is not something you see in many other places in Canada. They have enough space for large parties and definitely recommend making reservations.

   The food and drinks were great as usual but the service was lacking. We only saw our waitress when our food and drinks were being delivered and we had to flag her down when we wanted to pay. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks or checked on at any point during our meal despite the restaurant not being overly busy.

    Always a great experience at Cojones, this dinner was no different! The food is amazing, not too pricey for the amount of food that you get. I have never had a bad experience here. 10/10 would recommended!

    Cojones used to be our go to spot, lots of drink options and great value for the servings. However, prices have gone up by a significant amount (about 15-20%) and the margarita selection is now limited. The things that made this place and accessible go to no longer exist. Now we are searching for a new place to frequent, sadly. I understand these are unique times for business and restaurant owners but it just makes this place less of a routine spot and more exclusive.

    How can I take reservation when your restaurant is closed! We drove all the way downtown St-John’s to your restaurant to find out that you were not open! You should have a way to advised your customers. 😡

    Loved the food, service, music and ambiance but after 4 margaritas and feeling nothing it seemed to me there was not the alcohol content typical of a margarita.

    It was my husbands birthday. We usually love Cojonas, but the food wasn’t great that night, and things took longer than usual to come out, despite not looking very busy. Both Nachos were cold coming out(cheese wasn’t melted half way through. Only had one of 2 deserts available…

    We made reservations here weeks in advance of a family trip to St. John's, and we were really looking forward to our meal. We were disappointed by the quality of the food and the service. We came in with high spirits, but our server was timid, unfriendly, and felt "checked out" the whole time. It really put a damper on our experience. She dropped off appetizers without a word and then disappeared, leaving us with a table of empty drinks for ~20 minutes! I finally had to get up and find her to ask if she could come check on our table. There were no quality checks done on the food during our meal, which is service standard. As a family of service workers I definitely get that people have off days, but a $300 bill for such womp womp service felt like a rip-off. When the food came, it was something I'd expect from a Kelsey's or similar mid-range chain. I can overlook the quality of the food, but the service was SO disappointing we left with a sour taste in our mouths and won't be returning.

    The drinks and the food were delicious, but we waited 20+ minutes for each drink and when our food came our table was so full of dishes that needed to be cleared that we just did it ourselves and put it on a nearby table that also hadn't been cleaned.

    We had reserved a table a month in advance. Once we got there, we were seated. A waiter came by to "take" our order only to be told that it would be a 1 & 1/2 hours wait for food!!!!!!!!! Our reso was only booked for 2 hours as that was the timeframe given by the restaurant when booking. We ended up having to leave and go find dinner elsewhere. Everything was so unorganized and it was extremely disappointing for someone who made a reservation over a month ago to be told that, specially when we were on vacation! Not impressed at all, wouldnt recommend to anyone.

    not prepared at all for a busy Friday night in the summer. Has really gone downhill in the last few years. Was my favourite place but the service, price rises and removal of the good things on the menu has really made it worse.

    I love the food and drinks at cojones. However it was VERY loud for a restaurant. It was busy and there was a table of abojt twenty people next to us so it did feel like our server forgot about us. We only ordered chips and queso and it took 45 minutes. But usually my experience here is great so I will chalk it up to it being a busy Saturday!

    Menu seems to have gotten smaller. Food portions are just ok for the price. Two reg size tacos are $18- $20 and no side. That’s a bit pricey. Everything is spicy. Could use more non spice options. Margaritas are excellent & Diego our server was awesome!

    Waited nearly two hours to get our food - some kind of error with the order placement between waitress and kitchen staff. During that two hours, we were left without drinks for early 40 minutes before we could flag down our waitress to get more drinks.
