Colette Grand Cafe at Holt Renfrew Vancouver
The menu reflects these values, taking a modern approach to traditional French cuisine, with simple, exquisite flavours and complemented with a Mediterranean flair. Guests enjoy an elevated culinary experience in a chic, elegant environment.
Coffee was not hot .
Suggest they remove fried food from the menus as the place is upscale so the food should reflect the ambiance and image Hokt wishes to establish
Our table was ready when we arrived. Staff very friendly and prompt. The food was beautifully presented and the delicious. As it was my birthday they present us with a small 2 bite dessert plate which was a lovely touch to complete our meal. My guest's coffee cup was topped up without having to ask. Brunch all day on Saturday which is a bonus for lots of people. This is my second visit and will go again.
Food was fantastic - service was poor with a large amount of time left without being attended to after seating and little attention given during the meal.
We tried afternoon tea and we will not go back!
Came here with the intention of having afternoon tea. However, due to miscommunication, we could not enjoy the afternoon tea here. Instead, we were offered brunch and to our surprise, the food was delicious. A special thank you to Andy and his team of servers. Service was top-notch! We will definitely be back to try their afternoon tea.
Took my great aunt for lunch
What a delight to finally get to Colette! From the beautiful and elegant decor to the warm and efficient service, from the cozy seating to the spectacular food, this might be my new favourite restaurant! To find a restaurant in Vancouver where one can actually enjoy a quiet conversation is a dream come true. And to find a restaurant that does not have a single TV is something of a miracle these days.
Thank you for a wonderful experience - this was a lovely bit of warmth in a very difficult week.
Food was ok
Couple of us had the crab cakes and we felt that they lacked flavour
We met at this restaurant to have lunch and to celebrate my son's birthday. The service was absolutely outstanding. The food was excellent. We had a comfortable table with lots of space. The restaurant was full but we felt like we were having a private lunch. We will all be returning to this restaurant in Vancouver and to its counterparts in Toronto and elsewhere.
I was really pleased with the service and ambiance. My friend and I actually made a joke that we wished the servers were our friends because they were so genial! The food was visually appealing and very tasty. My only concern was the tea selection, as they were packaged teas rather than loose leaf form/specialized teas. Overall I would definitely come back again - it's greatly priced out, especially including the little gifts from Joe Malone!
The manager gave good service and was very friendly
This is a hidden gem at the back of Holt Renfrew. You have to search for it but it is a lovely quiet space for lunch or early dinner. The entrance needs to be better defined - The store should lead you into the Cafe. But even outside you would find the entrance difficult to find. And we know where we are going. They should have a champagne bar and an opening to the outside so that diners can see some action. Well worth checking out.
Food is decent but menu is somehow limited. Would like to see more items on the menu. Nice environment and ambience. Absolutely nice to have it inside Holt Renfrew as you take breaks from shopping!
The hostess and our server were both exceedingly good. However, the food was very disappointing. Worse crab cakes I’ve ever had. The hostess brought me another option and treated us to a little dessert. She was wonderful but the food was not!
Food was well presented but lacking in flavour for the price.
Delicious birthday lunch. So special and elegant considering it’s in holt renfrew. Expensive but totally worth it. Best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Absolutely in love with the fries as well.
Tucked away near LV and tiffany.
This cafe has a contemporary vibe to it and the service is excellent.
$35 for afternoon tea is a steal
Food is great
Tea selection can be improved
Came here for afternoon tea and it was decent. The two servers were attentive. It would have been a nice touch to explain what everything was when the food was brought out, but we figured it out on our own. The herbs were not fresh and should have been left off the plate as garnish, they looked like they had freezer burn and was wilt.
Upon reading the menu, there were several ingredients missing. There were no avocado nor spiced hazelnuts in the avocado toast, no berries in the tartelettes, and we were left guessing as to the flavour of the one macaron.
Clotted/Devonshire cream is preferred when served with scones for afternoon tea.
quite and cozy place to hang out, foods was really tasty and service was excellent.
Amazing service and great food! Just needs to have more signs pointing out the location. It's on the 2nd floor of Holt Renfrew Right behind Louis Vuitton
Food very mediocre. We went for the high tea. The savoury food was too salty and the sweet items were bland. Chic place, great service, and you get Jo Malone gift for high tea.
My friend and I wanted to have our first high tea here as we saw the advertisements of the new afternoon tea with a Jo Malone gift! The food was really great and they were very accommodating. The only thing is that we did not receive the gift at the end and weren’t sure if there was something in the fine print (having to spend a certain amount or what not) but we were too embarrassed to ask for it.
Liked the atmosphere, it was very quiet. It is good if you want to have quiet conversations. Good service. Good food.
We were invited back by their manager, Andy Wong who wanted us to have a much better experience than last time. The linguine with mussels were much better this time and their service levels are always optimal. We are very touched by their complimentary appetizer, meals, desserts, and drinks! Thank you so much for inviting us back and doing everything today to make our experience extremely enjoyable!
Service was impeccable and friendly. Very welcoming. The food was really great, no complains there, menu is not very large, but there are really good options. The best part it's a quiet place to meet for business and have a conversation. Not noisy or loud at all. Very calm. Great place to meet friends as well.
The food was ok at best, the service was horrible ! But it was not the multiple servers fault, they just did it know any better and no one had trained them.
Holt's luxurious dining experience - without being too stuffy - was the perfect place to celebrate my friend's engagement.
Mussels went bad and the server really did nothing to fix the problem or provide any resolution. A very disappointing meal for a supposed high value establishment.
Was worried when I heard that Holts Cafe was "gone". However, Collette Grand Cafe hasn't changed the decor (thankfully) and the menu is equally as good and diverse.
Mediocre in everything - too bad - won’t be dining here again ...
Always a pleasure dining here - food, ambience, sevice are all top notch! This is a gem, a true metropolitan restaurant in the heart of the city. Perfect for a break to refuel while shopping or to celebrate special occassions with family/friends or just to escape somewhere lovely while enjoying great food. I highly recommend Colette Grand Cafe!
Had avocado toast on gluten free flatbread for lunch and was quite disappointed. While I have had this same flatbread there several times and enjoyed it, this time
It was so tough that I could not cut it or chew it. I ended up eating only being able to eat what was on top of the bread. When I mentioned this to the server, she sent over a woman I presumed to be in charge. Her response was to assure me that the bread was the same as usual. She acknowledged that I came there frequently and that next time I ordered this, she assured me it would be just fine. I was not that happy paying $17 for what amounted to a few slices of avocado with a bit of arugula and a few cherry tomatoes and her response was to again ensure me it would be fine the next time, and offer me a cup of coffee or tea to go as compensation. I have had several lovely meals here before this, but I was completely put off by her “come back and try again next time” response which failed to address the meal I just paid full price for and expressed dissatisfaction with. I really felt they could have done better.
Great food and great service! LIke the ambiance and the location. Place looks clean and well put together.
Flew from Edmonton w my bf and wanted lunch while shopping @holts. Service was awful. Food was good. I have been to the Colette cafe In Toronto and had a much better experience. I hope they can work on the service issues and I would consider returning.
The food was great. However, we ordered two plates from the brunch menu and the waiting time was longer than I thought. There weren’t many people so I was a little disappointed by that.
Very pleasant surprised!
Was really lovely..the atmosphere, the food just made our early mother’s day celebration so great!service was truly fabulous as well xx
No one came by to ask if we needed anything once our food arrived.
It is always enjoyable to dine at the Colette Grande Cafe. Very pleasant, professional and efficient staff who make you feel welcome. Good food and nice atmosphere. But, watch out for the sparkling water! At $10 / container it is very over priced while the food is not.
Had a wonderful brunch! Service was excellent and food was wonderful as always.
