The chicken pot pie, collard greens, and acorn squash with grits were delicious! And the banana pudding was outstanding. Demetrius was an impeccable server. We enjoyed our dining experience.

The service - Kylie I believe, maybe Kaylie? Was great. The restaurant has a wonderful patio so we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the neighborhood folks pass by. I had the cheeseburger which was quite good. Cooked well and flavorful, with crispy, well seasoned fries. My sis-in-law had the chicken pot pie which was unfortunately, bland. Coffee was good but lukewarm. I made a reservation noting it was my sis-in-laws birthday. They did not mention that at all. That was disappointing. Why ask if it’s an occasion if you don’t follow through? All in all- Coleen’s is a mixed bag. I would try it one more time.

Service not great. And then when finding out that tip included for staff (which I’m all for) it made sense. Other wait staff seemed to be busting Gino but not ours. Made for what would’ve been a fantastic time to just be an ok experience.

Quite literally the best grits I have ever had! The mac and cheese is to die for and the fried chicken is mouthwatering. Was craving a good southern meal and was blown away but how delicious my meal was. Our waiter was so sweet and the decor in the space was so unique and beautiful!!

We had a perfect evening at Colleen’s Kitchen! My friend had never been and I am a repeat customer. We loved our meal — a delicious small Cobb salad and chicken pot pie (a favorite of mine!), Prosecco and bubbly rose! We loved that we could easily talk and hear each other throughout our meal and even commented on how much we appreciate that! Our waitress, Kaylee, was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and respectful. She represents your restaurant very well!

OMG - We loved Colleen's so much for dinner that we went back for brunch the next day! The restaurant is super cute, and the staff is wonderful, but the FOOD. Don't miss out on the chicken pot pie! They also serve a fantastic cocktail, we had the House Punch and the Farmers Market Mule, both super tasty (a word to the wise, the punch will sneak up on you and knock you on your butt if you're not careful - it is THAT good). Brunch was also amazing, the eggs are perfect, the biscuits light and fluffy and Colleen can sure make a mean cup of coffee. Don't miss this place!

This is my first time eating here and enjoyed the experience. I haven't eaten prior but it was to-go only due to COVID. The restaurant staff checked in often and and made sure everything was okay. The food as we always is great and I enjoy the flavor and menu offerings. The fried green tomatoes is my go to appetizer. This time I tried the chicken and waffles. It was really good and I enjoyed the syrup paired with the waffles. The chicken breading was seasoned well and the breading texture was just right. I have never had a bad experience here. My relatives from Beaumont and Houston were shocked that Austin has this type of restaurant. The food exceeded everyone's expectations. I will definately bring my friends and family here again.

The 20% service fee is so off putting. Restaurants shouldnt rely on customers to pay your employees a fair wage. If we get 20% service on top of our bill then also tip 20% that’s 40% and just unreasonable and simply unaffordable. We were also there for a work lunch so are using our company card which have a limit of 20% tip allowance so this put all of us in an uncomfortable bind.

The cocktails seemed to be WAY overpriced for what they are. We had a nice evening and the food was excellent as always, but $14 for a sweet drink that comes out of a slushy machine and requires little to no bartending skill? Dream on.

Food was fantastic but was surprised to pay a 20% service fee PLUS a tip. Evidently the service fee goes to the restaurant & the tip goes to the server? I always tip servers 20%…so 40% in service fees? Too much.
