   They forgot our appetizers, brought a wrong entree, and gave us two raw/cold cauliflower “steaks”. They comped the starters and brought them after we’d finished our entrees and didn’t charge for one of the cauliflowers. That didn’t make up for giving my 82yo grandma a disappointing Mother’s Day dinner. I hadn’t seen her in six years and really wanted to impress her. I was SO embarrassed and spent the rest of the night apologizing. Not worth the price at all. I cried.

   Took close to an hour to get food for the adults. Kid's plate was brought out close to ordering. So we didn't get to eat together and then the kid got antsy and didn't want to wait for our meals to come out and for us to eat it. Bad timing. Some of the food came out cold. More bad timing. Waitress seemed to not want to check on us much knowing that the food wasn't ready and we were all sitting there, very hungry, watching the kid eat their food, waiting for a long time to get our food. They should offer drinks or biscuits for free during that time. You can also see the staff playing around at the register out in the open of the restaurant which is no fun when you are waiting a long time for your food. Also I went to the bathroom and saw a worker skip washing their hands which was sickening to see. Not sure if it was a waiter or chef.

   Sterling is the gentleman who waited on my wife and I. Spectacular attitude and he made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. The food was well prepared and we will return!

   Perfect spot for a special occasion brunch or lunch! We celebrated Mother’s Day early here with our family and it was such a lovely time—excellent service from Hannah, and fantastic food. Really appreciated the (manager possibly?) host’s hospitality and attention too!

    SO GOOD! Everything we had was delicious. The cornbread, buttermilk biscuits and grilled blueberry bread were so yummy and plenty for four for an appetizer. The chicken and waffles couldn't have been better. Plenty of yummy crispy chicken. The mac n cheese was to die for! Even the cold brew was tasty. Service was very attentive and fast. We had a reservation for 1:15 and they were able to get us in 5 minutes early :)

    Colleen's requires reservations with a credit card, which they will charge a whopping fee of $10 per person if you do not cancel by 24 hours before your reservation. Then they automatically add 20% on your bill for a tip, regardless of the service. You'd think they would run a tight ship with all these rules and regulations. But no, the service was so slow we almost ate the napkins waiting for our food. We waited a full hour after ordering simple meals to be given our food. The food itself was very good, with the exception of a burger, which was dry. The servers are adequate. The kitchen is very sloooooooow. Chicken and biscuits are great, but I won't go back. The anxiety over keeping the reservation or being charged $10 per person if we had a last minute emergency was bad enough. The long wait for food made the entire experience one I will not repeat.

    The food was way overpriced. Our table was a little too close to the booths near the front door where people had to squeeze past us to get to the booths. The mimosa carafe was $30 which is absurd. The chicken and waffles had a waffle that I could get at a hotel breakfast bar and gross old chicken that had just been dunked in the fryer to heat it up.

    We had a great time. Everything was delicious. Biscuits, Smoked fish dip, Chicken Pot Pie, and Bone-in Porkchop with Banana pudding to finish. Wow. Everything was done to perfection. It couldn't have been better.

    The service at Colleen’s was terrible. Our server never cleared our plates. Never asked us if we wanted another drink. Never came to get our order. He just walked around and filled water all night. Very bad. Would not go there again.

    Overall, we had a positive experience, our server, Keillen (sp?) was fantastic and that made it worth it for us. They do have a weird service fee that automatically gets tacked on to the bill. And to make a reservation, one has to put a CC down. We had the red fish and the shrimp and grits, both were very tasty.

    We love Colleen’s Kitchen. The food is excellent…… fried chicken & biscuits are superb quality! The service was efficient & friendly. The only drawback is the high noise level, but that’s almost everywhere. I left my backpack & when I called them, they had it, knew who I was & had it safely tucked away waiting for me to collect it. Colleen’s is a really well run, family owned business and they take it very seriously.

    We enjoy this place for brunch. Have not made it for any other menu. The biscuits are phenomenal. The only off putting thing is that they automatically put 20% gratuity, which should be the customers choice and then here is an additional tip line too.

    We had two starters, beet salad which was really well made and crab fritters which had little flavor and would not get again. The corn bread was sweet but very good. Our main dishes we the Cobb with no protein and the strawberrie/greens salad. Both we well made and dressed. We will go back and expand and try new items.

    Fabulous menu, modern elegant comfort style. It's a great spot for dining out with friends, date night, or even a special family night. We love coming here. The biscuits are delightful. The Cobb is perfection.

    I have been here a few times and they are always super enjoyable. Great service with friendly servers. The food is always delicious. I love the atmosphere at Coleens as well. I definitely recommend the shrimp and grits, biscuits, and chicken and waffles!

    Colleen's can turn out some pretty good victuals, but it is way too expensive. My husband and I had an order (3) of biscuits, a cobb salad with chicken and a two piece chicken dinner (I skipped the $2.50 upcharge for gravy!). I had a single frozen cocktail. Our dinner came out (with the 20% service fee) to just under $100. Everything was plenty tasty, but I'm still of an era that paying $100 for a fried chicken dinner and a drink is just too expensive.

    Place is pretty but the food is just ok. Shrimp and grits cost $24.00 but it doesn’t seem like it’s worth it. Deviled eggs were great. Corned beef hash the potatoes were not even seasoned. Has a 20% included gratuity already so the servers weren’t really paying attention. Won’t go back again.

    We usually love coming here but we didn’t have good service at all. No one came to our table for 15 minutes even to bring water. We then weren’t checked on and weren’t brought the items we asked for. The biscuits and gravy were great but the rest of the food was sub par unfortunately.

    With reservations, experience was wonderful. Parking was easy and validated. Service was quick and food was delish! We had the suggested cornbread which was yummy but next time we will definitely try the biscuits. I had the corned beef hash and hubby had the chicken and waffles. The hash was seasoned perfectly.     For starters, it was a very busy evening and the staff was clearly stressed and struggling with numbers. I completely understand the frustration, as someone who has restaurant experience, but there was really no excuse for the rudeness of the man at the host stand. He was not polite at all, and made me feel stupid for even asking about my reservation. Additionally, our server was very low energy and lacked any kind of politeness. For a cute place decorated like a charming, southern grandmother’s house, the waitstaff was not warm at all. In addition, we ordered “biscuits for the table,” from the menu, at least a $10 starter, only to receive a plate with a total of three biscuits on it. The biscuits were absolutely delicious, but you should be prepared for high prices and small portion sizes for appetizers. The bacon wrapped dates, $12ish dollars, came with five dates. Once again, so scrumptious, but not the portion size I was expecting for such a price. The main course, however, was a large and filling portion size. I ordered the buttermilk chicken, which came with potato mash and collard greens. So delicious, filling, and worth every penny! I would absolutely come back again for those biscuits, skip the side of fries, and hope the waitstaff were in a better mood.
