    It was just slow but it was Thanksgiving so I won’t judge harshly. We would go back. It’s beautifully decorated, staff friendly and food delicious.

    Our first time here. Small, intimate dining with a nice size bar. Rack of lamb was great and the shrimp and grits one of the best we have had.

    Excellent experience. We hosted a sweet sixteen party for 13 girls. Complicated Pilgrim gave the girls a table in a semi private curtained area. They worked with us to create a limited menu. The fun mocktails, charcuterie board, salads, and entrees were all delicious. The manager (Evan) and server (Terranee) were excellent. Adults sat at a separate table and received the same great service. I highly recommend!

    Our server Kat was phenomenal. This was our first time dining here and loved it! Best brussel sprouts hands down but the entire meal was fabulous

    Complicated Pilgrim is like if Frida Kahlo had a baby with a famous chef on Valentine's Day. The ambiance combined with a creative and delicious menu makes Complicated Pilgrim stand out as a unique Memphis experience. My husband and I came for a fancy date night. It felt as if we were on the TV show Cheers! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the bar tender, Richard. His hospitality was top notch! We were seated in a charming, romantic corner where we were surrounded by interesting art. Our waitress was the beautiful Tasia. She was a wealth of knowledge when it came to locally brewed beverages and she made a great recommendation! She also recommended the 901 margarita/ Butterfly in the Sky which is an award winning cocktail! It was such a beautiful drink and totally instagram worthy!! We ordered the delectable brussels sprout for an appetizer. This was a large serving and was more than enough for my husband and I to share! I will definitely be ordering those again in my future! For the main course my husband ordered the New Zealand Lamb. I tell you... My husband looked like he was cheating on me with his food!! Lol He enjoyed every single bite. Complicated Pilgrim is such a unique and creative space for a fun date night. I 10/10 would recommend. It is such a VIBE!!!

    This was our first visit and we were seated at a 2 top in the middle of 2 other 2 tops. There was little room between our tables which I didn’t care for. The wedge salad was excellent. The tuna appetizer was 4 very thin slices, not enough to justify cost. I got the fish sandwich and it was good; just a little dry. My husband ordered the lamb chops and ask that they be cooked more on the medium side which was strongly emphasized. It was bought very rare. The drinks took some time to get to the table and the Negroni was terrible, but the Cosmo was good. We then checked out Tiger and Peacock, pretty cool and nice patio. Be expected to be hit with the 25% tourist tax.

    The food and service were both delicious! A bit pricey but honestly some of the best food I’ve had in Memphis! We had lunch and will be coming back to try the pre theatre course as well as the full dinner menu - it really is that good.

    Second time here. Both of us did the “pre theatre” special which is a really sharp priced 3 course meal. This was decent to very good and certainly a good deal. Not mind boggling and a bit experimental. Desert was definitely the highlight. They moved us out pretty quickly which is great if you are actually going to a theatre. We were not so we felt a bit rushed. We will go back for sure and would recommend to others.

    Comfortable, unique setting with excellent food. I really liked the areas that could be closed off with curtains for extra privacy if one would like. Serving staff was very attentive. I would definitely go back.

    The food was incredible. Most of the cocktails were tasty.  Espresso martini, however, should be black like espresso; but many restaurants for whatever reason serve them with some kind of creamy liquor: don’t know why, because after all they are espresso martinis and not latte or cappuccino martinis. That small criticism aside, Kevin was our waiter, and he was amazingly attentive. Get the scallops, get the house salad with the mustard vinaigrette, get the king pao brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The Sazerac is on point.

    The food was great as always but as soon as we sat down at our table, before we even made a drink order our waitress dumped ketchup all over our friend that was dinning with us. It was all over his side and back enough that he had to go to the bathroom and run it under the sink to clean it off. The waitress was very apologetic and offered him a free drink but he does not drink. A manager never came over to check on us or apologize and he did not get any kind of discount, or complimentary dish for his troubles. Pretty disappointed in the way it went down. Overall we love the restaurant and accidents happen, but was handled poorly.

    Everything was excellent for our date night at the Complicated Pilgrim. We started out with appetizers (samosas and the tuna crudo), had some delicious drinks, and then entrees (shrimp and grits and the scallops). Everything was phenomenal. Would recommend and will definitely be returning soon!

    Delightful restaurant with impeccable service. Food was delicious (I had the airport chicken and my husband had the lamb steak). Charmed ambience, good service, pleasant environment. I think next time I will stay at the Memphis next door.

    We were here for the first time last night before seeing a show down the street. Other than it taking 10 min to see a server after being seated, the service was very good. She was engaged and the manager was very involved in the dining room. I had the shrimp and grits. It was swimming in their gravy. Maybe twice if not more than it needed. Other than that it tasted good. The grits just got lost. He had the fish sandwich which he loved. We shared the Caesar salad which was good. Homemade croutons would have made it better. Less crunchy. For dissent we had the peach Gillette. Good flavor but extremely small portion to share fir $9. Overall good. I’d order differently if we go again.

    Enjoyed everything from the ambience, the service, and the food ( had the shrimp and grits with the Riesling to drink). Also, hotel staff was very friendly. Had a parking faux pas, so hotel staff showed me street parking and even was on the lookout for me when I later walked back alone to my car! Rooftop lounge is super cute and cozy. Bombed that they don’t allow pictures up there, but I will definitely go back!!! 👍🏽

    Drink were great, food wasn’t good. My dish was barely warm and my husband’s steak let a lot to be desired. Good atmosphere for drinks with friends but the food left a lot to be desired.

    The food was not as well prepared as it should be. The value for the money was not good - my companion only got 4 scallops for $30+, which was not made up for by quality. We didn’t know where to park. We likely won’t return.

    Beautiful space with a friendly and attentive staff. We had the brussels sprouts which were delicious to start and then I had the Golden Tile, I truly enjoyed the delicate fish and wonderfully spiced cream sauce. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary.
