Another wonderful patio afternoon overlooking the river valley. The food was amazing as ever. The beetroot hummus and salt and pepper wings are the best. The margaritas are soooo good. Thanks Erin, Carmen, Jacob, and everyone who made it so enjoyable.

The patio experience is the best in Edmonton. The setting, service and food were outstanding. This is a "must do" when you are in Edmonton or want to enjoy a fantastic meal overlooking the beautiful river valley.

Behind our seating there was shelving with recessed lighting that blinked incessantly. As the time passed, the afternoon got darker and the blinking became more obvious and distracting. We brought it to the attention of the server.. she regretted there was nothing she could do. No additional effort of any kind was made. And the blinking continued. We came prepared with an Edmonton Tourism coupon. That turned out to be good planning. The food prices were alarming, to say the least. The room was lovely, and the server was too. The unforgivable sin: the prices.

Came here between a wedding ceremony and reception. Staff were fantastic very helpful and accommodating. We ordered drinks and appetizers. Drinks were great and the beet hummus was delicious. The views and ambiance are top notch. First class service and venue. Splurge and go for it.

The location and history save the experience. Service was slow and neither our meals nor our desserts arrived at same time. Servers are slow and not to the level expected at a Fairmont. Food is good, but selection is limited. All three dessert options had nuts, which was a disappointment for me with an allergy.

This is one of our favourite places in Edmonton. Beautiful view, great location and faithful staff but food is not always consistent. Beer glass had some foreign object in it (tried to say it was from the keg…no real apology was made and no manager came by to address the issue) and the taste of “Alberta board” was a DISAPPOINTMENT!!! The board for 2 had a variety of meats but lacked presentation and flavours. Brisket was dry, ribeye was gritty and had no taste and chorizo was okay. However the pulled pork was DELICIOUS. Thank goodness! Tacos were great and hamburger was amazing. Tiered crepe dessert was good and was great with the purple UBE ice cream. And our board didn’t look like the one below in the reviews:(

Summer is coming to an end and there were mosquitoes out. I don’t know if there was any measure taken to help liviate the issue. Food is good and view is great but the constant mosquito bites doe’s ruin it a little.

With limited summer days, having an afternoon bite and drink at the Confederation Lounge & Patio - Fairmont Hotel Macdonald was a great experience overall! It was surprisingly busy for the time we went (2:30 pm). The food was good, and the service was excellent. Will be back!

Excellent attentive five star waitress. Patio view of electrical storm,stunning,warm and dry. Wine excellent but highly over priced. The menu and food was a MAJOR disappointment. Nothing creative,over cooked dry chips. Poke bowl lacked imagination,very boringly put together. Food was what you would find in a very ordinary diner. What happened to reasonable priced fish and chips and nachos,bring em back if you want to have us back. Otherwise next time it will be soak up the ambiance with drinks and head to a decent restaurant for dinner. Need to go your game for those high prices.

The Mac continues to have the best patio in Edmonton during the summer and fall season. The staff are knowledgeable, energetic and engaging . For us, many of the staff have become like family over the years making each visit an absolute treat. A special thank you to Javiera and also to Erin, Carmen, Gwen ,Antosh, and Jerome for stopping to say hi. It was very busy the night we were there but we could see everyone was being looked after very well. Absolutely, we will be back.

Our Server was fine however wait times were unacceptable. Sat at the table upon arrival for almost 20 minutes before acknowledged. Wait time for our food was quick, however left after the meal because our second round of drinks didn’t show up. You definitely need to examine your staffing levels in busy Friday afternoons in the summer period. A disappointing experience for such a high end, iconic patio.

Nice view of River Valley , heated patio which we took advantage since it was a but windy. Drink selection could be better. Had a four course dinner at the Harvest room which was very filling and delicious. Thanks Rhea for the excellent service !

The food is awful. The hummus tasted nothing as if they forgot to put in seasoning, we barely touched it and he server did not even wonder if something is wrong with it. The fries on Pulled pork sandwich is super salty. For the high price, you would even think at least it has a good presentation but I can barely put on my social media as it looks like a food bought on a food truck. Would not go back and would definitely not recommend

The service was very slow and inattentive, which diminished the experience. We went for date night and expected more from such a high-end place. The food was good, but it came before our drinks even arrived; we had to ask a second time for the drinks when the food came. My second drink was also delayed. As well, the door on the parking garage was locked so we had to walk around to the other side of the building.
