We went for happy hour and the drinks and food were all great. The patio is really lovely and although it’s right on a fairly busy street it still felt fairly intimate. Our server had asked if we wanted more drinks and we had said not at the moment, then we basically didn’t see him for about 20 minutes. We were planning to order another round, but after waiting so long decided just to settle up.

Our server didn't come to see us for the first ten minutes or so, and the drinks took a long time. We got our appetizer before drinks. We probably would have done a second round if we'd had them before. Then there was a server change over without us being notified so we were a bit confused who we should be flagging down when we needed something. The server we ended with was great throughout our meal to the end of our stay though!

Everything was great except for the scenery/environment of the patio. We sat on the patio on the ground floor (second floor patio wasn’t open yet). Sat near a natural gas line and at one point smelled gas…not a hazard or safety concern, just unpleasant. Similarly there were some interesting folks on the street and across the street with the Brass Rail parking lot. I thought our reservation was for the second floor patio and they did offer for us to sit inside which is much nicer. Everything else was great.

Such a lovely evening at Constantine. It was Monday and a bit quiet, and I met a friend for a catch up dinner - they let us talk away and paced the service perfectly. Food was delicious - every thing we had was great. Both the mussels and the strawberry short cake were highlights. They take a team approach to service and that also worked out great. Loved the experience and can't wait to go back.

it was uneven. Food wasn't hot. No bread. No salt, no pepper. Steak was good, fish was good, lamb chewy, tough. First quality of food is to be hot.

My eggs had an eggshell in them and the waiters were not attentive - honestly wouldn't recommend. Found the prices to be reasonable but for the quality of food you get I wouldn't go back.

Wonderful dinner (again). Visiting son at UofT. Second time we ate at Constantine. Great wine list, eclectic menu - very fair price points. We opted for kitchen bar and were treated to immaculate, respectful service. Thank you for a great meal for our family.

the staff was lovely, but not super experienced, as you would expect for a fancier place like this. The food was good, but nothing exceptional. The biggest problem we had was with the drinks, very limited selection of wines from a not very knowledgable somalier and the cocktails are way overpriced for what they were, they didn't even muddle the mint for a mojito, and the "Into it" was yummy but basically shot glass size. The waitress was very friendly and checked in a lot, but didn't like that they added the gratuity due to the size of our party which was only 6 people...it's 8 anywhere else. Overall it was just ok, and we really chose there because it was close to the theatre we were going to after and the prixe fixe menu was excellent value, but the drinks were not great and I don't think we'd go again.

Overall restaurant was good, but food service was too slow. Our server knew we had theatre at 8. Our reservations were at 6. Our food was not served until 7:20.

The starters were good, especially the pate and bread. The pasta entrees were very disappointing as the portions were small, which would be understandable if the flavour was better but the gnocchi and short rib cavatelli were bland and lacked seasoning and the short wasn’t tender. The skirt was good. The potatoes wedges could use more seasoning though they were cooked well. The Brussels sprouts were great. Lastly, charging per refill of pop/juice when the glasses are tiny and the waiter was very slow in getting our drinks to us multiple times makes it not worth. The ambience and design are beautiful which makes for a sharp juxtaposition to the poor food quality and inattentive service for the high price.

We chose this restaurant because of its location and now have a new favorite dining destination. Starting at the communication through open table and continuing through to our welcome on arrival, our table location, our fantastic and skilled server, amazing décor, absolutely delicious food, excellent wine list and advice. AND the best prepared gin martini I've had in a restaurant in 25 years.

Booked prior to theatre- ambiance top notch, food very good, service could have been more attentive to ensure timelines were met , food was slow ( dessert served at 735 pm for an 8 pm show ). Server knew it was prix fixe theatre menu - a bit disappointing as it diminished the dining experience as we were running out the door…
