Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Annapolis
We are two bottle members and went out with my in-laws to show then how much we love Cooper’s Hawk. Our server was excellent and the food was amazing. We were also able to enjoy our 2 bonus bottles for the summer! We shared it with our meal and had a great experience.
It was great
Fresh, delicious food served by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The menu tends toward healthy (thankfully). Quite noisy...but what restaurant is not noisy these days? Try the barramundi entree. The thai lemongrass sauce takes it to the next level. A wonderful wine list and, if we didn't live so far away, we would be very tempted to join the wine club.
Always a great time at Cooper's Hawk.
Always a pleasure to dine with friends. Our Serve was knowledgable and professional. The food was flavorful. Wine and cocktails are perfect every time. The only complaint is the seating next the kitchen walkway area. Please don't ever sit your guest at that table. Thankfully everything else was perfect!
My friends and I had a lovely evening celebrating a special birthday at Cooper's Hawk. We had a cocktail and appetizer in the bar area first, taking advantage of the excellent options available for happy hour. We then headed to the dining area to share several delicious appetizers (plenty of food for 3 to share). We especially liked the wine flight, which helped us decide on the bottle we chose. We ended with a lovely banana bread dessert. We will definitely be returning in the near future!
I would definitely return however not for an intimate dining experience. While the appetizers were excellent the noise level was extremely loud. My throat was sore when I left from talking over people.
Food was excellent! Noise level was awful for me. I booked on a Wednesday night thinking it wouldn’t be that busy. We had a new waiter Michael and had to remind him to bring my soup and a drink for someone at the table. We had to ask for the pretzel bread.
He apologized said they were very busy that night. Maybe he had to many tables.
Food and wine were great. Service was exceptional.
Food was exceptional!! I love this place the wine is amazing too!
Nice gluten free choices! Waiter was very attentive to ensuring I received gluten free bread etc in addition to my meal . thanks !!
Our waiter Kris, was fabulous, paying attention to our every need. The food was good and the wine wonderful.
My husband and I went to celebrate our 41st anniversary. We were looking forward to a nice evening, but were disappointed. The appetizer we chose was unavailable, and the chef's choice for the entree was also unavailable. That was disappointing. We went on a Sunday at 6:00, so I find it surprising that food items were no longer available, especially since the chef's choice was highlighted for the month. Service was poor; it took forever to even get water, bread, and have items such as empty plates from our appetizer removed from our tables. Since we were at a two seater table, things got tight. We are wine club members, but we are rethinking this and may end our membership. This is not the first time we have been disappointed, it may be a pattern at this restaurant. I can't speak for other locations, but our experience in Annapolis was subpar.
Food was exceptional and cooked to perfection. Many choices on the menu to suit any range of palettes. Be careful of any alcoholic drink with pineapple; they're very tart. If you're into something sweeter and crisp, pineapple drinks are not the choice. Our server was kind to replace my drink at no additional charge. Nice setting and great service overall. We will return.
Cooper’s Hawk is a true dining experience! Great date night place!
Food was delicious. Excellent Service. They don't just bring it, but be sure to ask for the bread.
Dinner was great, husband had the chef's recommendation blackened Chilean sea bass from the chef's recommendation menu which was excellent, I had the blacked salmon with sautéed spinach which was very good, my only complaint was the salmon was very small portion.
It was really busy, it was Saturday. Good thing we had a reservation the wait was 1.5 hours. Because it was busy it was also very loud and the wine service was slow. My food came out twenty minutes before my glass of wine.
The food though was very good. And I will go back, just on a slower night.
I will like to thank our server Rebecca for our outstanding service during our visit to celebrate my sister's surprise birthday. I flew in from Dallas and after careful research, I chose this restaurant from what other folks were recommending through reviews. I'm glad this was the restaurant we chose as the food was delicious, the cocktails were perfection, the ambiance was right and of course our party of seven was just right. We started with two appetizers and I can say that both were scrumptious, Mexican Drunken Shrimp and the Sweet and Crunchy Shrimp. I ordered the Chicken Madeira which was absolutely amazing. The chicken was moist and tasty, the potatoes were tender and seasoned perfectly and my substitution of the asparagus to the oven-roasted veggies was the perfect entree. Everyone at our table was raving about their entrees so I was happy that the experience was more than I had anticipated. We ended our night with their Salted Caramel Creme Brulee which I must recommend that you try if you have enough space. It was creamy, sweet and delicious. Next time I come in for a visit, I will be stopping by for dinner again.
I love the wine and food! The service Rachel provided was excellent!
Great food, wine and atmosphere! It never disappoints!
Introduced friends to cooper hawk
The romaine lettuce in the grilled chicken Caesar salad was incredibly bad (yellow in color). There were “hearts” 3 to be exact included which were not edible nor do I think they should be there.
The reason we keep coming back is the outstanding service which in this case eliminated it from check and rightfully so. Everyone has a bad day but salads shouldn’t be that difficult.
I answered NO, but want to qualify that answer. I would recommend to a friend, BUT would definitely share the following to manage expectations. Arrived 10 minutes before our reservation time and was told that we would be seated closer to our reservation time. Ooookay... At the time of our reservation, we were told that we would be seated closer to our reservation time. Ummm.... it is, but I went back to waiting, then went back up to see how much more time and was told “Look, I am writing your name now”. GREAT! A couple minutes later, we were seated and were the only ones in a 8 table location. WHAT?!? The food was very good. The happy hour prices were also very good. Then they neglected to recognize or acknowledge that it was our anniversary. And it was our first. So disappointing, since I wanted to surprise him with a very special dinner at a very nice restaurant. The food was redeeming, but the service was disappointing.
Great food and excellent experience
We went for a causal lunch with family. We LOVED the Brussel sprouts, as usual! We ordered Mediterranean shrimp salad that was delivered without shrimp. Food took a bit too long. Chalked it up to new staff. Still one of my favorite places.
However, wine pairings and food never arrived at the same time
Everything was perfect!! (As always)
It was a special occasion and we were greeted and seated promptly. We are members of the wine club but it was our first time in the dining room. Would like to give a shout out to our fine waitress Christina. She made us feel welcome and it was a great experience!
Beautifully decorated restaurant with great drinks and very good food! We will be back!
As always, excellent food and wine. Natalie is awesome, attentive and professional.
I had a nice dining experience. The atmosphere was nice, food was good, service was great. I would recommend.
We are wine club members so we eat here often. Tonight we both had a salad and flatbread. They never disappoint. The quality is always good and the service is terrific. Of course, the wines are 1st rate as well.
Great Meal. Eric was a good waiter, and the Anniversary gift was a nice surprise.
Scott was incredible with resolving an issue with our monthly account. He was patient and understanding.
Food was excellent and always. Service was terrible! Very slow, waiter disappeared for long periods of time. Appetizers came out same time as meals, and when it was time to pay server was again no where to be found.
First time I’ve had a poor experience here though.
Always an enjoyable experience.
Suggestion. When a reservation is made it would be more welcoming if not being told there is a wait.
Love this place. Food is consistently excellent and the waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly. The fish, pasta and chicken dishes are delicious. Always enjoy a repeat visit to Cooper’s Hawk
