The food is fantastic and I am a fan of a number of their wines. I've been to several other Coopers Hawk locations and this one (Rockville, MD) was no different. We went on a Sunday night and it was crowded and noisy, but that's to be expected. Had a wonderful time!

This was our first time eating dinner at this restaurant. Good first impression, great meal celebrating my mother's 84th birthday. We went a little early on a Sunday (5 pm) to avoid the crowds and associated noise. The service, food selections, and atmosphere were fantastic! While I was not a fan of the mediocre unbranded wines, the full bar option was nice to have. We were asked to join the wine club but didn't feel that the wines were impressive enough to bite at the offer. My only small disappointment was the fact that I noted we were celebrating her birthday on my original open table reservation, and we didn't get even a candle or verbal acknowledgment throughout the evening. Not a big deal, I just know not to bother with filling in the "Are you celebrating anything" section in the future when making OpenTable reservations. I still highly recommend the restaurant for others.

Person taking our order was good , but was under the impression that someone else was assigned to our table . I had to request someone . The table was never buzzed between meals so the plates We’re stacking up. I was under the impression that they were short staffed this day as I usually have a great experience

Drinks were soooooo slllloooow. Took for ever to get 1st round and then another round. Wine was ordered when the server asked what we wanted for our meal and didn’t come til we were all done with our meal.

The Host Station, manned by 2 employees, was a bit chaotic and dispassionate in demeanor. Thankfully our server made up for their lack of engagement. We were encouraged to sample several choices of wine before ordering which we enjoyed. However our food arrived before our drinks mostly due to the bar being busy, I assumed. I would avoid the outdoor seating next time as the sun, at 7:15pm was too hot and blinding. The food was quite good. Prices ok. We’ll try again, but they could polish up their act.

Everything was okay, but the oven roasted vegetable medley must be one of the worst things I have eaten in years. I can't believe the restaurant has not gotten complains about it. The over roasted vegetables tasted like cardboard.

Second time going to Coopers Hawk and it was amazing. Service is possibly the best we’ve had in the area. Previously served by Angelo and last night was Mallie. All phenomenal and the food was wonderful as always. The cocktails were fantastic also and great value for the quality

Delicious food, wonderful wine list, but a little loud. Design of bldg is not conducive to conversation, particularly if you are hard of hearing. But if you can deal with that you will have a marvelous evening!!

It was fine. The white wine wasn't not great, we tasted 6 white and found one that was okay. You only get their brand. The hamburgers were just okay at 18.99. Good fries. Very nice, attentive waiter and good key lime pie. Nothing outstanding but fine.

Our experience service wise was great from the time we entered. The host was very friendly and attentive; the wine rep was energetic and helpful. Our server Jordan was amazing and the food runner was very professional! My husband enjoyed the fish and chips-especially the tarter sauce however my short rib entree was not as tasty as I had hoped. Amibience was great as well.

We arrived at 7:15 for our 7:30 reservation, knowing that we had the complimentary wine tasting before we were sat. I also consciously made our reservation for inside dining since the weather forecast called for rain all night… unfortunately the management made the mistake of moving all of the outdoor tables inside, essentially giving my reservation away to some other table. We checked in with plenty of time until our reservation but the wine bar was completely packed and we had to awkwardly stand in the middle of the restaurant until we could get a spot. Thankfully the server Claudia behind the bar made sure we got a spot and was pulling for us to get our tasting while we waited. When we checked in we were told that they were backed up because of the rain but we had no idea that they literally gave away our table to someone else. Unfortunately I had to give the young hostess a hard time because we were still waiting for our table at 8:20, almost a full hour after our reservation time. Mind you, the entire point of us making a reservation was because it was a birthday and I wanted to ensure a table. Since weren’t sat until 8:20, we didn’t get our dinner until 9:10. The reservation specifically noted that it was a birthday celebration yet our table was given away even though we arrived over 15 minutes before our seating and nothing was done for the birthday either. The entire lobby area was packed and people were sitting on the ground because there is barely any seating for waiting, which management should probably offer if they plan on giving away all their tables. I’m not sure what the management’s thought process was deciding to give their indoor reservations to people who didn’t check the weather and mistakenly made their reservation for outside. I have honestly never experienced so much dysfunction in one night and am sad because this used to be one of our favorite spots and now I am not sure if I will return.

This place offers an appealing blend of food, wine and ambiance at an upscale yet affordable price point. We ordered the wedge salad, grouper and mahi entrees, and finished with the chocolate cake. All were excellent. They were busy and service was bit slow, but our server was attentive to our needs. The Pinot Gris and Zin/Cab wines were pleasant and affordably priced. Will be back!

This was our first visit. It was a birthday celebration and we had the best time! Sherry took care of us and her humor, attentiveness and recommendations made it one of our best dining experiences! (And we are foodies and love to eat out that rarely take time to provide reviews.) I’m gluten free and their menu was extensive. The options and quality of food made me almost forget they were gluten free options. I felt like a regular diner! The lettuce wrap appetizer, gf bread, truffles and s’mores dessert were some of our favorites. If you like wine you definitely want to select the flight and personalize it. We will absolutely be back and we will do our wine tasting before our meal next time. If you haven’t been - just ‘go!’ Do plan on being awhile as it wasn’t a speedy event, but for us it was an experience and the food was fresh! Just relax and enjoy. We also thought it was affordable given all that we consumed.

Great wine and food selection. The service was very slow considering that the restaurant was almost half empty by the time our dinner arrived. There were two times where we didn't see our waiter for a good 20 minutes and once was just after we requested a few items he had forgotten to delivery. The place, food and wine was great but overall let down by slow inattentive service.

As always food was good. Service was lacking, not sure if server was new. He was soft spoken and not very attentive. After we ordered and had our wine, he disappeared for quite some time not checking on us. Finally the food arrived after about 35min. Maybe it wasn’t him or maybe it was the kitchen, don’t know, he didn’t say anything. Previously we have always had servers with some personality but not this time. Nonetheless we’ll be back cuz the food is great!

Happy Birthday to me! Yesterday evening, while I was celebrating my birthday at Cooper’s Hawk, being serenaded by Matthew the bartender, as he served me a plate with delicious dark chocolate truffles and a glass of vino, I was informed by waitstaff that my parked car had been hit by a truck. Thanks to Cooper’s Hawk staff, Stephanie and Sarah, for their quick reaction to take a photo of the truck and write down the tag number I was able to provide the police and my insurance company with the necessary information to process a claim. Ladies, this was commendable customer service! Their persistence to identify and inform me of this incident was above and beyond. And, on a happy note, Matthew, thank you for your outstanding service! Your attentiveness and professionalism was truly appreciated. Kudos to the Cooper’s Hawk staff in Rockville.

We enjoyed a nice Mothers Day dinner at Coopers Hawk. I love the variety of food and it is almost always excellent. My Mom said her pork chops were a little overdone but the sides were fabulous. My veggie enchilada wa amazing and my kids enjoyed the kid spaghetti and meatballs and a salad. I like trying different wines - super variety!
