The Bar Program at Cordo is an experience of BC. A wide selection of BC Liquors is the foundation for creating our signature cocktails using fresh juice from BC fruit and vegetables accented by herbs from our in-house herb garden.     Got the elk steak. Came out dry and cold. Got the side mash potatoes and they came out barely warm. Very slow service and restaurant was understaffed. Would not go back

    Lovely, comfortable restaurant. Service was very good, they asked our opinion as it was a new menu and they offered us a complimentary dessert as we were celebrating. Food was excellent 10/10.

    Gosh was very porofessional and wasn’t stuffy beyond humour. My dad 91 yo Metis) said the elk is farmed, limiting opportunities for it to feed wild, didn’t find the elk games enough. I thought the overall achieved its goal of excellent. It was very open design, which I’m generally not in favour of, but overall earns an easy 4.5.

    The restaurant is located in the Delta hotel in downtown Kamloops. The food was very good, we had the Humboldt squid to start, which was very tasty served with jalapeños deep-fried, which made them spicy, but not too hot and then we had the elk steak, which was amazing, so lean and so tender. My partner is a non-drinker and this is the first time a restaurant has offered a non-alcoholic gin done as a flight, so that was super awesome. Overall, the experience was really good. Highly recommend it. It’s unfortunate that Kamloops is such a meh kind of place - there could be a lot more the City could do to bring up the energy and create a great vibe.

    Had a birthday dinner there with just my husband and I. We got seated quickly and got our drinks. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the gin flight they had featured and helped my husband choose a great lineup. They offer a free dessert with a birthday dinner and because there was a bit of a delay getting dessert out they took the price of both desserts off the bill without question which was a very nice surprise. The food from appetizers to dessert was delicious. Definitely will be back. All staff were very attentive.

    Cordo is a favourite restaurant of mine as the ambiance, service and food is normally great. However, I did not find as many items on the new menu that interested me. I had a salad with chicken, which was good, but basic. I brought my elderly mother with me and she could not find anything on the menu that was not spicy, or a heavy meat item. She ordered soup (which was too spicy for her to eat) and a biscuit, which she described as overly dry. She did enjoy dessert, and we were not charged for her soup. Unfortunately, the menu will have to change before I bring her back.

    Food- Locally focused, menu thoughtful and updated often, kitchen staff are clearly trained and love their job as every plate came out beautifully plated and executed to a high standard. Amuse Bouche and palate cleanser offered (complimentary) - they know their stuff! Service - staff are trained, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Ambience - calm, open, and warm. My only wish was that there were more booths. Only 3 that are often reserved. Other places in Kamloops hit 2 of these three marks but hard to beat this gem of a restaurant. Favorite of this Kamloops local!

    Dinner was very underwhelming. Under seasoned pasta that was basically just oil, foccocia bread was dry and didn’t even have butter on it and the elk steak meal was tiny ($55). For a $200 meal, I would suggest somewhere else.

    great to get fresh, healthy food that was packed with flavour. Good variety of dishes for all and service was fantastic. Definitely try the local wine…we didn’t leave room for desserts but they also looked good. Husband had pork belly, I had grilled avocado as starters and then he had lamb shank while I had local trout. Very delicious, meat had complex flavours and was so tender.

    We enjoyed the Maple pork belly as a starter and the Seafood Matelote as our main course, sharing both. The food was outstanding and delicious. We had planned to dine on patio but due to strong winds elected to dine inside which was a little noisy. Restaurant served local and regional wines and provided us opportunity to taste a couple prior to making our final selection. We would strongly recommend this restaurant if all there entrees were as good as ours.

    An off night? Our first visit to Cordo & we were looking forward to a fine meal based on the reviews online. Lovely interior. We were seated quickly. They seemed short staffed tonight - the hostess was also bringing out the amuse bouche. Our waiter seemed inexperienced. He neglected to tell us about the special Father's day cocktail & also told us that the Father's day special dinner did not include dessert which was wrong (heard the waiter at the next table after we had placed our order). I ordered the Seafood Matelote ($42) which was described as having BC spot prawns, scallops, sole & mussels, potatoes, onions & mushroom caps in a cream, white wine sauce with grilled focaccia. Spouse ordered the halibut with herb & spinach puree, local chard & seasonal veggies ($49). I had 2 tiny prawns, 2 scallops & 5 mussels & no sole that I could determine, all drowning in too much sauce (dish looked more like a fish stew). The halibut looked lovely but it was extremely dry. The veggies were plated beautifully & were done nicely. We let the waiter know of the issues with our dishes, he offered to have them remade but since he had not checked on us until we were about halfway through, we refused. A manager also came over & offered same. They did take 25% off our bill & offered us 15% discount on a future visit but we leave Kamloops tomorrow so will not be able to see if another night the food is better. Very disappointing.

    Excellent Food! We had the smoked salmon Bennie, traditional bacon/eggs and roasted red pepper and tomato soup. All dishes were well done, presented and served. Tried the non-alcoholic Kiwi Crush with Kiwi, lime, fresh mint and soda -- nice option and very refreshing. From the time we sat down and ordered, it took 1/2 hour to receive our items which were fresh and hot. Brunch prices are inline with other restaurants in the area. My only remark is that the general public eating area reminds me of a diner and not a sit down quality restaurant in a hotel. The area could use an update. Definitely would go back and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

    The new menu is outstanding. Good choice of vegan, vegetarian and meat/seafood etc now being offered. My wife had the wellness bowl and I had the seafood Matelote. Each perfectly cooked, which we paired with Oliver family vinAmite cellars PinotGris. Super happy Cordos is supporting the smaller hidden secret vineyards. Really well thought out meal and prep. Excellent service just topped it off. Well done everyone 👏.

    Pretty good for dining in Kamloops. The dishes could've used more seasoning. I had the spot prawn ceviche and elk steak. Both were good because the meat was good quality but the vegetables could've used more (any?) flavour. I loved the gin flight and the wine list had great selection. Our server, Tristan, was an absolute joy!

    The entire experience was phenomenal, duck poutine, seafood matelote and roasted chicken was so delicious and worth the prices! The little palette cleansers were a surprise but added to the meal - they were fresh and just a wonderful pop of flavor.

    Hostess and wait staff were very accommodating. We were running late due to train delays and called ahead twice and was still late for our reservation, when we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The food was very good and great atmosphere. Only negative would probably be the noise level. Great place otherwise.

    Its was amazing experience to dine in at cordo the food and drink was excellent plus the service on top, Our server Hanah if m not wrong was outstanding she delivered each and every food and drink with full explanation of ingrident in it. Will sure recommend my frds and for sure will come back.
