Cosima is located inside the old boiler room of the Mill No. 1 building, which has been nationally recognized for its painstaking renovation. Both the menu and atmosphere provide a warm inviting environment for friends, families and neighbors to gather and perhaps discover a part of the city many Baltimoreans have never seen. Dining on Cosima’s outdoor patio will offer incredible views of the historic Jones Falls waterway.
Sicily, and the surrounding Southern Italian region, is known for fresh and seasonal ingredients but is also a mix of all surrounding Mediterranean cuisines. Sicily was once home to Greeks, Arabs, French and Spanish – all lending their cultures to create modern Sicilian and Italian heritage.

We have eaten here before and always been very pleased with the quality of the food, fun cocktail menu, and ambiance. The servers are always attentive. We were there on a Sunday night and they seemed a little short-staffed, with slow delivery of food and some mild confusion by those delivering the food about which table’s food they were bringing.
Still, we live the place and will be back to enjoy it again.
I've been to Cosima a few times now. The food has been hit and miss. The appetizers and pizza's all have been delicious. The main meals have sometimes been a disappointment. Two folks at our table ordered the prawns and risotto. The risotto wasn't great and the prawns were ok. We requested a nice table on our reservation because we were celebrating a special occasion. However, we were seated upstairs right next to the inside wall near the temperature controls - not very nice. I still would recommend Cosima, but would suggest folks stick to appetizers, pizza, and dessert.
amazing atmosphere and even better food. highly suggest for your next romantic occasion.
Pizza special was delicious. Meatball appetizer so so.
Found myself taking apart the kale salad so Ii could make it at home It was that good!
This was our second visit, last here about a year ago. Drove up from home about an hour away and very worth the drive. This was, again, simply a fantastic meal in every way! There were four of us and each dish we had was creative and superb. Service excellent. Setting just lovely. This restaurant is a gem!
I was first attracted to the restaurant by its architecture so I looked up the address, then the restaurant and its menu. I’ve never heard of it before but so glad I found it. The food was amazing!!!
Great food, service and ambiance! This is our second visit.
Completely underwhelming dinner. First off we had to wait 20 minutes for our table to be ready, despite there being at least 10 that were open and set.
The service was poor. The waiter made strong recommendations claiming to be a true authority on the menu. The advice we took from him was extremely poor. The octopus was overcooked and mushy, the sauce that accompanied it was awful, seemingly just pureed roasted red pepper. The fritto misto was fine, but not life changing. The whole bronzino was absolutely horrible. Flavorless fish with no salt. The additions to the plate were completely afterthoughts - a kale puree on the fish, with a kale salad that included strawberries and corn, despite both being out of season. The server informed us that they do not make their own burrata so we did not order it, this was probably a mistake.
After we ordered a very good bottle of wine and it was dropped on the table, the server did not appear at the table again except to drop the check. And the check, they are using this absurd device where you ring your own credit card. It's trying to be European, but it's hands on and stupid.
Everyone raves about the space but I got to face a brick wall in a corner.
The cost - $230 for a really terrible dinner with poor service.
We went to celebrate my wife's birthday, which the host/hostess staff called to confirm details involving seating, cake, etc. I was impressed by that! Though we had issues with how the food was cooked, the management staff were very good at handling the situation. We were even introduced to the Executive Chef who discussed the error and partnered with other onsite personnel to make things right. Great waiter, great ambiance, and great problem solving and service from a great team. Will definitely be coming back.
Great atmosphere and service. Food was really good too.
Cosima is an inviting, hip space that makes a couples dinner fun, and a friends dinner a party. We've been enjoying Donna's food for many years. The menu is creative but not fussy. In this restaurant, she takes her comfort food up a notch to make it more than "mom" would have imagined. This restaurant is on our "go to" list.
We went on a Sunday and the menu was downsized. We were able to get the entree we wanted but felt that the variety was limited by the downsizing of the menu. The Bronzino Fish was excellent and well grilled. Loved it.
Cosima delivers again! Once of my fave spots in town. Did the shared multi-apps dinner this time--meatballs and arancini can't be beat! Aaron and Jim at the bar could not be friendlier. a very welcoming spot!
So impressed all the way around with Cosima. What a beautiful restaurant, delicious food, and outstanding service from our server April! Quite a delightful dining experience. Thank you!
This was the perfect place for my boyfriend and I have have a celebratory dinner. We enjoyed every bite and it was a lovely night.
Great for Apps and Drinks. Did not like the mains
My experience was only average. The waitress was very difficult to understand, the room was noisy and food became difficult to order due to my food allergy. I could not get a salad because they would not take the onions out. What I was able to eat was good as well as the person I was with. I would not make it a first choice to go back.
Always excellent. Donna knows how to run an outstanding restaurant.
Cosima is a lively spot but not noisy and the food is fabulous. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. Great service and the owner, Donna, came by to say hello.
Although hard to find, it is definitely worth the trip!
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Highly recommended for special occasions.
Old cotton mill. Fascinating, hidden location in large buildings also housing other businesses.
Fabulous setting, everything was delicious & great wines
Wonderful - the food was incredible and the service was spot on
Quiet birthday dinner, food was terrific, ambiance perfect, repurposed building was interesting. Great experience
The building is beautiful inside and out. The menu looked really interesting but we honestly thought the food was average. My husband had the meatball appetizer and the octopus appetizer. Both were good but not fantastic. There was a special brussel sprout appetizer that was delicious. I had a $36 scallop on risotto entree and the scallops were good (cooked nicely) but the risotto was almost hard to eat - strange taste and consistency, and I almost always love risotto (pretty easy to please). Our waitress was attentive but it was very hard to understand her with a strong accent. I would return and give it another shot because it's such a cool space that I really want to like.
Love this place .....our favorite out of the way joint
We love the atmosphere and concept. The wait staff was nice and attentive. The food was decent but pricey. Who would have thought the special flatbread of the day would cost $36? The other flatbreads were 16-18 dollars so we did not ever think that would be $36. Our fault for not asking how much it was. Did not think the wine list was especially good choices to pick from. No recognizable vineyards or like comparison. Very pricey to boot. Don't think we will ever go back. Too bad. We noted on the reservation it was my husbands birthday celebration. They did not present or offer a birthday dessert.
The customer service was terrible. The bussing was almost nonexistent. For the cost this was a terrible meal.
Overall, would not recommend. Food was not good. Drinks outside were the highlight for us; great view. Service was fine. Had our car go through valet and I can say with 90% certainty that they scratched my car trying to back it in one of their tight spaces in the warehouse. Will not be going back.
We have been there before; it never disappoints us. I am Sicilian and the food is authentic. The wait staff is always very helpful and attentive. We go to this restaurant for our special occasions.
Waiter took forever with drink order and refills. Food runners delivered meals incorrectly for every course.
This was a Sunday evening, early dinner and not very busy, Driveway to valet also a challenge.
The staff (and guests) were all super nice. The food was also some of the best I’ve ever had (particularly the gelato). It was a very comfortable environment and I highly recommend eating outside if the weather permits!
The meal was good. The raw scallops appetizer was very strange tasting and we should have sent back. My half lobster dinner had very little lobster, although the ink pasta and sauce were very tasty that it was served with. My husband's bronzino was excellent, as was my oldest son's pork shank meal. My other two sons' steak dinners were well prepared. My youngest son complained that his pasta and chicken meal had very little chicken, although the pasta meal itself was well flavored. Service was good and very attentive, but I wish I had been honest about raw scallops. It was third time to Cosima and probably our last due to strange scallop appetizer.
Perfect dinner place whether for date-night or ladies night out. Love the bar!
Outstanding food, as always. I have never been disappointed at Cosima.
Amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and food was yummy! Would visiting them again soon.
I had a great time at Cosima. We were welcomed by courteous manager and waitress and every costumers were treated like VIPs.
I went for the lobster fettuccine and I’m very satisfied with the dish. My boyfriend had chicken and the fruity and slightly citric seasoning was perfect.
It’s my second visit and I would definitely go back for more.
I took a friend to treat her to a birthdy dinner. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Seeing Donna was a bonas.
