I recently dined at Costa Azul and it was an great culinary experience. Our server was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely passionate about the cuisine, which made our dining experience even more enjoyable. About the food.The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the presentation was good. Great selections of wines.The dessert was impressive providing a delightful conclusion to our meal. Definitely will come back soon.

Arrived 8 pm , main course served 9:15pm. Ordered sea food mariscada market price. Festive mood did not ask price. My fault. Usually pay $40 USC in NJ. Was charged $150. Huge plate for at least 4 people. Waiter tells me after the fact usually good for 3 people sharing. Gee thanks. To little too late. Sea food served Luke warm.l could not take left over food so loss of food and $. Bathroom toilet did not flush. Wife and I enjoyed appetizer and cocktails and wife was pleased with her meal. Waiter was young pleasant young man but really dropped the ball. Should have warned me of what I was getting my self into by ordering sea food mariscada.

Small and cozy restaurant. Definitely a hidden gem. Amazing food, drinks, service, and live music. Food was very tasty. We are from Boston and love their seafood. That’s to show how tasty and fresh it is. It was a long wait for the entrees for our group of 11 but it was worth it when food was amazing. It probably would help to make reservations so the restaurant can ensure sufficient staff and fresh seafood like they did with us. During the long wait for entrees, the staff only had two other tables. So they had time to teach us how to do the salsa. The saxophonist also came to our table to play the happy birthday song and later he played a special request of a Vietnamese song. Couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate my mother’s 65th birthday. Everyone was very pleased especially my mother who was also a chef.

Went on a Tuesday evening so it was empty just one table besides my husband and i. when i booked the reservation i made them aware it was for our anniversary. we told our server we don’t drink alcohol so she respected that by serving us complimentary passion fruit (virgin) mimosas so we can have a toast. i had waygu steak with a risotto and asparagus (special) AMAZING! very generous servings so i was only able to eat half. my husband had the burger and fries, he also couldn’t finish it since it was HUGE. delicious steak fries as well. he had the bread pudding and i has the tembleque brûlée and it was amazing !! no complaints - mango juice is amazing and fresh as well as the lemonade.

This place is amazing! We stayed near this restaurant for four days, and ate dinner at Costa Azul twice because it was THAT GOOD! From the service, to the drinks, to the food- everything was impeccable. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This is my 4th time at Costa Azul. I highly recommend the Costa Azul Fries, Beef Carpaccio, lobster bisque and their lobster, Shrimp and octopus risotto. It’s a great place to have a wonderful food and good ambiance. Highly recommended.

We were delighted with the fine dishes that we ordered. Those were a vegetable mushroom soup, a Caribbean mofongo, and a white chocolate creme brulee. All were fresh tasting and excellently prepared. Service was also a high point. We were told that our dishes would be a wait, because of the time it takes to prepare them. The wait wasn't that long and well worth the time, in any case. It was our best meal in San Juan. We definitely would go back for more.

For a restaurant off of the highway it was good! Food was excellent and how they plated the food was beautiful. However, service was a little slow and they had a saxophonist who was awesome. However, as we were the closest table, it was a bit loud. Overall, great experience.

Our flight into San Juan was delayed so we were very late for our reservation. We were greeted with enthusiasm even though I am sure we were the last table seated. The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious! This was a perfect start to our vacation 🥰

My love and I saw that this place was a 15 minute walk and had great reviews so we decided to take a stroll over and eat dinner. I’ll start with the highlights, frites were excellent as was the house made brioche. The cava was priced right and was nice although it was chilled a bit too much for my taste. My grilled octopus was good but not hot enough, I think they waited until my fiancés pasta was done. Her tagliatelle was cooked perfectly but needed some more flavor. Full disclosure she asked for no burrata which definitely would have added much flavor. My mussels were average but what really bothered me was most of the shells were 1/2 broken which I never really experienced in eating them for 25 years. My biggest issue was our server. When I asked if they had paper menus she said no so I said I guess you save some money on printing. Her reply. No we never printed new menus anyway. So I said no seasonal changes. No. I said how long have you worked here. 2 months and it’s actually more expensive to change on the website. That doesn’t make sense but ok. Then I asked if they had bottled water she said Fiji and sparkling we have Evian. I didn’t even correct her that Evian isn’t sparkling and just ordered the Fiji. I asked if the ceviche could be made without onions and she said no are you allergic? I said no but I dislike raw onions and she made some weird comment.

I had previous celebrated my wedding here and had an amazing time. Therefore when I heard about their Valentines special I quickly made reservations. Man how disappointing this experience was. We had reservations for 7:30 PM but got there around 6:50, we thought no big deal we can order drinks at the bar and wait for our table. We were surprised when we were quickly seated and were able to order. Once they brought out the first entree is when everything went left. The waiter was rude and seemed angry to be working that day. We waited over an hour and half for our second entree. During that time she never came by to see how we’re doing or to offer more drinks. I had to flag her down from across the room and ask her how much longer for our second entree since we were starving, she quickly cut me off and stated the food was being plated and coming out shortly. About another 25 minutes go by and still no food. It wasn’t until one of the other waiters who noticed how long we sat there with no food that went ahead and brought our food out. We were exasperated with the whole service so decided to ask for our desert to go and for the bill. The waiter showed us the total and we handed her a card to take care of it. To my surprised she had automatically tipped herself the maximum amount with out my consent and angrily walked away. I know that restaurants often automatically charge tips for large parties but never for a table for two? I was definitely planning on tipping the waiter but in cash and a different amount. I was so frustrated and disappointed that I simply decided to leave. Very heartbreaking because this was one of my favorite restaurants in PR and always recommended it to friends. However after the terrible service on Valentine’s Day I won’t ever come back to dine here.
