   For a restaurant off of the highway it was good! Food was excellent and how they plated the food was beautiful. However, service was a little slow and they had a saxophonist who was awesome. However, as we were the closest table, it was a bit loud. Overall, great experience.

   What a special night. Wonder food and service. Our waitresses couldn’t have been better. The food and wine were great. I don’t think you can find any bad food in this place. The four of us loved every aspect of the experience!

    Our flight into San Juan was delayed so we were very late for our reservation. We were greeted with enthusiasm even though I am sure we were the last table seated. The service was phenomenal and the food was delicious! This was a perfect start to our vacation 🥰

    My love and I saw that this place was a 15 minute walk and had great reviews so we decided to take a stroll over and eat dinner. I’ll start with the highlights, frites were excellent as was the house made brioche. The cava was priced right and was nice although it was chilled a bit too much for my taste. My grilled octopus was good but not hot enough, I think they waited until my fiancés pasta was done. Her tagliatelle was cooked perfectly but needed some more flavor. Full disclosure she asked for no burrata which definitely would have added much flavor. My mussels were average but what really bothered me was most of the shells were 1/2 broken which I never really experienced in eating them for 25 years. My biggest issue was our server. When I asked if they had paper menus she said no so I said I guess you save some money on printing. Her reply. No we never printed new menus anyway. So I said no seasonal changes. No. I said how long have you worked here. 2 months and it’s actually more expensive to change on the website. That doesn’t make sense but ok. Then I asked if they had bottled water she said Fiji and sparkling we have Evian. I didn’t even correct her that Evian isn’t sparkling and just ordered the Fiji. I asked if the ceviche could be made without onions and she said no are you allergic? I said no but I dislike raw onions and she made some weird comment.

    I had previous celebrated my wedding here and had an amazing time. Therefore when I heard about their Valentines special I quickly made reservations. Man how disappointing this experience was. We had reservations for 7:30 PM but got there around 6:50, we thought no big deal we can order drinks at the bar and wait for our table. We were surprised when we were quickly seated and were able to order. Once they brought out the first entree is when everything went left. The waiter was rude and seemed angry to be working that day. We waited over an hour and half for our second entree. During that time she never came by to see how we’re doing or to offer more drinks. I had to flag her down from across the room and ask her how much longer for our second entree since we were starving, she quickly cut me off and stated the food was being plated and coming out shortly. About another 25 minutes go by and still no food. It wasn’t until one of the other waiters who noticed how long we sat there with no food that went ahead and brought our food out. We were exasperated with the whole service so decided to ask for our desert to go and for the bill. The waiter showed us the total and we handed her a card to take care of it. To my surprised she had automatically tipped herself the maximum amount with out my consent and angrily walked away. I know that restaurants often automatically charge tips for large parties but never for a table for two? I was definitely planning on tipping the waiter but in cash and a different amount. I was so frustrated and disappointed that I simply decided to leave. Very heartbreaking because this was one of my favorite restaurants in PR and always recommended it to friends. However after the terrible service on Valentine’s Day I won’t ever come back to dine here.

    This place was such a great find! Our food was amazing! I had the pasta with burrata and my husband had a seafood risotto special. Our server, Nicole, was so attentive and nice. Do NOT skip the bread pudding for dessert! YUM!

    We were there for NYE so we had a pre fixed menu. But it was DELICIOUS! Best sea bass we've had! Also the value for what we got was amazing. Can't wait to go back and try their daily menu.

    Exceptional service, Nicole went above and beyond. She was able to make amazing suggestion regarding wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert options. Amazing food, both quality and presentation. We would highly recommend dining at Costa Azul.

    The root purée served with the mahi mahi was great. The mushroom and bacon sauce served with the filet was heavy on the bacon. Overall our 5 meals were very good and the service was good although a bit disjointed at the start. I would recommend Costa Azul for a nice lively dinner.
