We have eaten here prior for brunch. This time we ate outside. I had the Scallops and Risotto, which I would highly recommend. My son had the Burgundy Beef. Food is rich with flavor. We shared a Crepe Suzette, which was out first time having one. Excellent!

On the positive side -the appetizers and entrees were excellent. Between the four of us we had beef, scallops and chicken entrees. All were delicious, but the portion size on the chicken was really small: a circular patty about five inches across and make 3/4 high. Conversely, my crab cake appetizer was huge... enough for an entree. And my shrimp risotto dish was also substancial. While the server was very sweet and seemed to be trying really hard, she may have had too many tables to handle. It was 15 after we arrived before she took our wine order. And although we all ordered an appetizer and entree, she only delivered three appetizers. When the fourth didn't appear after 10 minutes, we asked her where it (escargots) was. She returned to tell us the kitchen thought it was an entree and not an appetizer. Really? When it was listed as an appetizer? It didn't show up until at least 20 minutes after the rest of us were served, which made it awkward for all of us. Only two desserts were offered - both crepes. It would have been nice to have some option other than crepes. I wish I could give a more positive review - but I've got to be honest that despite some delicious offerings, the overall quality of the experience was disappointing.

This restaurant has become our favorite for Sunday brunch. If you want an authentic French dining experience...this is the place! From the cozy atmosphere to the fresh ingredients to the presentation to the fabulous service...it has it all! We plan to go for dinner soon. It's a hidden gem!

As usual, it was a wonderful dinning experience. The tables for 2 are small, but with the excellent staff, it never gets crowded. The service is right on time and dishes and wine were excellent. Easy to make a reservation this time of year, but it gets more difficult in “season”, but you just have to think ahead a few days!

Only problem with Cote is the table set up - very tight and uncomfortable. Pity they could not get their old space back. Service was slow especially as the restaurant was not full

Absolutely fantastic. We’ve been down here off and on for 8 years and always wanted to come here but for some reason we just kept going to the places we know. Well finally we went for dinner and we were both blown away with how great the food was. Now this will be my go to place every time I’m here in Venice. I will tell all my friends to come here. It was probably if not the best meal I’ve had in Venice, might be one of the best meals I’ve had ever!

We were really looking forward to trying Cote France. Maybe because it was a busy night, but we were disappointed in the food. Two of us ordered scallops which seemed burnt on the outside. The escargot was overcooked. For the prices charged, we expected everything to be well-prepared. Great service though!

Decided to make the drive to Venice and try Cote France, and glad we did. A cute, small space in an historic building with a loft/gallery up a small flight of stairs to add a few tables. A simple, but very nice menu, chalkboard specials (including wines), and a pleasant, sophisticated ambiance. A couple of tables outside as well. We had escargot and french onion soup to start, both very nice, and accompanied by warm, crusty slices of baguette. Dinner was short ribs with asparagus, delicious and tender with a wonderful lemongrass sauce, and seared scallops over risotto, also really nice. We passed on dessert, but they looked wonderful, as you might expect in a good French restaurant. Service was well-paced and pleasant, allowing time to enjoy wine and conversation between courses. Overall a great experience, and reasonably priced for today’s environment. We will return.

Outstanding food. Our table had the beef burgundy, scallops with the risotto and French onion soup. Each entree was beautifully prepared and served. The scallops are the best I have had.

Our server, Olivia, was amazing! I wish every server was as professional as her. She got all of our orders correct and kept us refilled on water and bread. The food was unbelievably delicious and I think this restaurant may become my most favorite Venice restaurant! Definitely want to go back soon!!

We have eaten here several times before, and looked forward to last nights dinner. I had beef burgundy, a favorite of mine. My partner wanted to try lamb tagine and while he liked it, the spices were different from what he thought they would be. He positively loved the lobster bisque soup. It was lighter in texture than most of lobster bisque soups, and the flavor was truly unique! Kudos to Chef Steven for delivering another excellent dinner!

Everything out the place is outstanding. You enter and immediately feel the relaxed, warm vibe. The people working are friendly and pay close attention to each table so that everyone is taken care of well. From the French beer to the incredible baguette, you know that you are in a wonderful French bistro. We started our meal with the escargots and soaked up the incredible butter sauce with bread (getting extra when we asked for it). The grey tile (similar to grouper) was an outstanding fish special of the day. The short rib dish was luscious. This is a great place to meet with friends and a place to have a great date night.

Soup of the day (gazpacho with melon) was delicious. All 4 diners had a different seafood entree (snapper, branzino, triple tail and scallops) and all were cooked to perfection. The scallops were some of the best I've ever had and the risotto they were served on was perfect. The tart of the day, peach, ran out by the time we wanted to order -- will know next time to ask for one to be held in reserve because the ones I saw passing by my table looked incredible.

With new Executive Chef Steve Longet at the helm, Cote" France is now providing real world class cuisine in Venice, FL. The quality of the food, the presentation, and the flavors are outstanding. They also have a very nice, reasonably priced wine list. Make you reservations now...this will be a hard ticket to get when folks discover them epicurean gem!

Small dining area a little noisy for us - wife & I both had problems understanding each other. Food was outstanding. We will go back as there were many menu items of interest beyond what we ordered the nite we visited. Suggest they leave the wine bottle on the table as we waited a while for waitress to refill our glasses. Two top tables are very small; four tops looked more adequate.
