   I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was very greasy below the standard of a chip truck to be quite honest. My first time there and I will not return.

   I had the shrimp roll in a lovely bioche bun with kale caesar on the side. It was such a generous portion I thought I wouldn't be able to finish but it was so delicious I just kept eating. Wonderful treat by the riverside.

   Food is mediocre but the view is great. Server barely checked up on us and I had to go up to her to ask her for some sauce cause our chicken was so damn dry. Nevertheless, still nice. 7/10

   I just feel the menu is really struggling… Not a lot of options and the mushroom appetizer was very greasy. My friend and I discussed that next time we would go to the plank for dinner and possibly the cove for a nightcap afterwords just because the scenery and place is so beautiful. Not a place I want to eat at again though

    We had a great time at Cove! Food was fantastic, very fresh and delicious. Server recommended a burger and it did not disappoint! Beautiful atmosphere with an amazing view. This is definitely going to be our go to patio this summer! Good job all around

    I ordered the grilled salmon. It definitely needed more salt and the broth was very watery. It could have been thicker….not worth the $30.00 and it took almost 50 minutes to get our food. Otherwise, great ambiance as we are regulars that visit frequently.

    Made reservations for indoor dining, was put on patio. Had to be moved from where they put us due to the wind. Server took 15 minutes to take our drink order, requested apps and dinner arrive at the same time, they arrived separately. Love Cove, have gone there over a dozen times, but these are simple mistakes that shouldn't be made by a restaurant that has been in business as long as they have. Will likely try another establishment in the area next time.

    Amazing service but the food was lacking taste and quality. Warmed beet salad can be ordered with fried chicken (no grilled chicken or shrimp option available), but fried chicken was cold.

    Cove Bar & Restaurant is a fabulous place to eat and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Brontë Harbour. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is good and well presented. I would definitely recommend this as a place to eat and enjoy some drinks.

    Food was not great. Calamari was chewy, salad had way too much dressing, veggies were mushy etc. Plus the menu is fairly limited with not many healthier option. The only appetizers they have are all fried etc. Even the salad is served with fried chicken! The menu used to be much better and so did the food. The one thing it has going for it is location.

    My friend and I found this restaurant when we were looking for a spot to have lunch after a salt cave experience I got from a Groupon. I had previously spied the restaurant when looking through restaurants in the GTA and had favourited it. Because the time of our visit was cold, we sat inside at a two-seater by a bright window. The atmosphere was bright and cozy. We both immediately felt comfortable and decided we wanted to come to check out their patio in warmer weather before we even sat down. Our wait staff was phenomenal. Quick, attentive, but not over the top. Very friendly and easygoing. I had forgotten that I had included that it was for my birthday, and they surprised us with a piece of chocolate cake. I am not a big cake person, but it was delicious, and my friend thought it was heavenly. I thought it was such a nice gesture. My family had been out earlier in the month to a relatively expensive restaurant, and I had made mentioned that we were celebrating two birthdays, and there was no acknowledgement made. This added points to the Cove. I had the winter mojito, calamari, and shrimp roll with a kale caesar. All of the items were delicious. My girlfriend had the Salmon and vegetables, and a raddler (I think). She said that she was very happy with the portions. She ate every bite! Thank you to the Cove for such a nice late lunch. It was the perfect spot for my new friend and I to bond, and to catch up.

    It was our first time at The Cove! The place was great!! The food, ambiance and service was superb! Our sever was Stephanie who was a joy to talk with and her knowledge of the menu was invaluable for us I making our choices from the menu! Definitely a place we will eat at again.     We went to Cove on recommendation of a friend who went in summertime to sit on patio. We ate indoors. The atmosphere was quaint. Service was pleasant but did not appear to know the menu. Orders two mains and Salad to start. It all arrived at the same time in about 7 minutes. Asked for beef Wellington rare and was medium to well done. Veggies were unappealing to say the least. Salad ok. Friend ordered risotto which was so overcooked it was like porridge with very little meat or shrimp. Would return to outside patio for a drink but food menu offered limited choice with poor quality of the ones we tried. Space was noisy but only a few tables occupied. The wine selection was poor, with two choices not available. Too $$$ for the poor quality.

    Birthday, even though the reservation when booked asked if it was an occasion it wasn’t acknowledged. Service slow, place empty. I had Beef Wellington, beef was tough and the outer layer was a soggy batter I think not pastry. Very overpriced, will not be returning.

    Group by back wall extremely loud. Could not talk reasonably or hear wait staff. Next time we would go elsewhere if this same noise level was tolerated by manager. Not sure how this is handled thou when it's a large group. Caesar salid was all kale, and was a surprise to me. I would have preferred a real Caesar said. Salmon was very good.

    We had a lovely meal. Unfortunately a large group of mainly women came in half way through and it got very noisy and my husband and myself decided not to stay for our dessert and we took it home. The waitress was aware of the noise and did apologize. There was nothing of course they could do and I'm sure that table had a lovely get to gether.

    This was our first visit to The Cove, having passed by a number of times living in the area. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, the Fish & Chips and the Seared Salmon as mains. The Positive: the full glass of prosecco, the salmon was cooked very well, tasty sides (though could do without the second piece of savory bread pudding - more veg would be better). The fish & chips came as a huge piece of battered fish and fries, also very good. The Negative: the room was a bit cold/drafty, lighting was not right which affected the ambiance. The prices were a bit steep. The amount of calamari provided as the appetizer should be double for the price charged. The price for the fish & chips was reasonable for having ordered it in a restaurant as opposed to a fish & chip house, but the price for the seared salmon was a bit much. It also gets very loud if all tables are occupied - near the end of the meal, I was almost shouting to be heard across my own table. Overall, the experience was just ok. The food itself is good but the other elements bring the rating down.
