   We were advised the chef was having problems keeping up with ord we rs but it wasn’t that busy. To there credit they took the ruined lobster off the bill.

   We had not been here for dinner for years. We heard there was a new new chef and revised menu. We were delighted with both! The atmosphere is iconic and the staff is friendly too. I would encourage a visit!!!

   Service was disappointingly slow. When they finally took our drink order, the waitress was curt and ignored our attempt to make conversation. Food took forever to come out, although the appetizers were excellent (Lobster Mac & Cheese and a Caesar Salad). They seated, served, and turned 6 other tables before bringing our entrees. Took us 2 hours to receive our entrees - my steak was overcooked and over-charred. As a result, we missed part of the concert. Sadly, would not recommend due to poor service.

   The service was only exceeded by the excellent food. The quality presentation and preparation exceeded all expectations ! This is a must visit on North Shore Tahoe. PS. The cocktails were masterful ! The entire experience was heavenly !

    Went to Crystal Bay Steak and Lobster and had the Valentine's Day Special for two. Great service, wonderful room, very pretty, but the seafood tower was a little lacking. No sides, just one lobster tail, 4 each of shrimp, oysters, clams (dry), mussels (dry) and I think that's it. Came with a salad which was tasty, and a large piece of chocolate cake to share. For $120 for two people we hate to say we were a little disappointed because we wanted to love it. Maybe next time we'll get the steak :)

    They were so far behind in service. We waited 30 minutes to be seated for our 8:00 reservation. No one ever acknowledged us. No water. No cocktails. No menu. I ended up going across the casino to get drinks from the Red Room. Waited another 30-40 minutes- thinking just give them 5 more minutes and someone will acknowledge us… nothing!

    The food was poorly prepared, the crab cakes were over salted and over cooked , almost burned. The scallops were also over salted and over cooked as well. The filet mignon was cooked to a nice medium but like everything else it had way too much salt and ruined the dish. All the sides had too much salt too The poor bartender had to do 4 jobs, she was bartending, platings hostess, and being the waiter and busser

    We have been going to CBC Steakhouse for more than 16 years and it is our personal favorite. Always great food, cocktails and service. James was our waiter on New Years Eve and he is a personal favorite of ours! We were so glad to see him back on the restaurant floor. Whether you want a full course meal or just a few appetizers and a glass of wine CBC will satisfy!

    The food was low/poor quality. We had the steak, which was the better of the meals. The salmon was so light in color (probably farmed and not wild) and the pasta w it was flavorless. Served luke warm. The Caesar salad was way over dressed and was not a well made dressing. Tasted like oil and mustard. The dessert raspberry cheesecake was a joke. The prices are very high for low quality.

    They have no lobster or duck. Apparently they lost their chef and they are working with a skeleton crew just trying to keep the doors open.

    This “Stroll Thru France 🇫🇷 Wine Dinner” was lovely. The special menu of 5 courses and dessert looked like more than one could eat, but the size of each portion was very nice… small. We loved all of the foods and wines. Looking forward to more of these special dinners.

    My wife and I have been enjoying Crystal Bay Steak & Lobster for 20 years. We recently enjoyed it once more. The staff are always friendly and cooperative. The food is marvelous. We love sitting in the old style – Robber Baron dining room with the ghosts of many celebrities still roam. If you're at North Lake Tahoe don't miss The Crystal Bay Club.

    Our server Jeri was very pleasant, cordial, friendly, and helpful. It was also very nice to see Grace the bartender again. She was very welcoming. My wife and I enjoyed my dinner as another opportunity to celebrate my recent 75th birthday. Thank you.

    While going thru a smoky casino to get to the restaurant was a bit off putting, once you enter the restaurant it all changes. The service was excellent, food delicious and an amazing wine list. We had the 6 oz filet, baked potato with everything and started with a chopped wedge salad. All delicious! As a comparison, we dined the next evening at a well know fine dining restaurant with amazing views. While the views and service were exceptional, the food did not come close to Crystal Bay Steak & Lobster! We essentially had the same meal at both restaurants. Highly recommend Crystal Bay!

    We've been coming to SC Steakhouse for about 15 years. We have never left disappointed, we always have an excellent meal with so many delicious appetizers and side dishes that you don't really need to order a meal but we always do! James is a long time favorite waiter of many and we were lucky enough to see him on Thursday night as our waiter! Always smiling, so personable and working hard to deliver a perfect dining experience which he does so well!!
