Lots of attention from the servers on our anniversary
It was wonderful! Our waitress was amazing, and she really helped make my boyfriend's birthday extra special. The food was amazing and their wine selection was fantastic! My only hang up was the noise level, it got pretty loud by the end of our dinner, but it was still a great time!
This was a top rate experience ! Our waiter was fantastic and guided us thru our wine selections and means! We went in with a flexible mindset and we left pleased and passionate snoot our choices and palatal flavors !
Everything we ordered was delicious but the in house made pasta was amazing! Also very tasty cocktails. Our waitress knew the menu very well and was very helpful in picking the best dishes.
Took my lady here for her birthday & everything was amazing! They’re accommodating & friendly, & the food without a question is worth every penny. Can’t wait to come back again!
Food was incredible. Our server was one of the best I’ve ever had. Super accommodating and friendly. Definitely will be back.
Good overall but not a huge dinner selection. Would recommend.
Gorgeous presentation & quality food. Great service by professional woman
Great food and atmosphere, our favorite place to eat in San Diego.
Pastas and pizza were delicious! I will definitely return if I'm in the area.
If you are in San Diego you must find this place. It is in the Bankers District.( Away from the touristy areas) I cannot tell you how glad you will be if you go. I went after looking online and saw it's reviews. it sure surpassed them. The buccatini pasta I had was wonderful to say the least. My husband had pizza which he said was good but not great(we live in Chicago though). Celebrated our anniversary and were greeted with complimentary champagne. Would go back in a heartbeat. It really was worth going out of your way and so nice to see a beautiful "neighborhood" in San Diego.
Jason, our server and the staff were great! Food and desserts were excellent and we would definitely go back!
8 of us for dinner and it was outstanding . Food was delicious . Waiter was attentive and warm. Loved the ambience . We would all return on our next trip to Sam Diego from phoenix . Favorite restaurant of our vacation .
Best Tiramisu we have had in a long time. Moist with just enough amaretto.
Service was slow. Pizza was excellent.
Outside seating on the sidewalk. Excellent service with food coursed out perfectly though it seemed that perhaps the pizza may have sat under heat lamps a bit so my hubby didn’t love it. It was a bit overcooked yet soggy in the center w too much cheese. The other dishes were amazing as usual. Excellent salad & veg starters. And very much enjoyed the homemade pastas. Great wine list with amazing pricing - only $10 over retail. Enjoy!
We came here before seeing Hair at the old globe. We sat outside. It was a lovely experience from start to finish! I want to try the pizza next time!
Great food, and ambience. Loved the wine options as well! Only issue was that it was super loud inside, which wasn't great. But overall, fantastic!
Good for pre-theater dinner.
it’s a great place before going over to the old globe!
We celebrated a friend’s engagement! The food was yummy and the dessert was great!
Service was excellent. The Burrata small plate (with Prosciutto) was great! Wife loved the Corn Agnolotti. The Rigatoni in my Rigatoni Bolognese was a bit too, al dente (it was chewy). But the Bolognese was pretty tasty.
I have been here before and the food was very good, but this time the food was mediocre.
My family and I always have an outstanding experience. This has been our absolute favorite place to celebrate all of our fun and special occasions for many years. They are consistently awesome every time.
The restaurant had a tremendous number of high schoolers attending Homecoming and there was not enough servers to manage them and the rest of the diners. The service was very slow and the meals were to the brought to the table randomly and what seemed like every 15 minutes.
Food was good but it wasn’t great and not worth the price. Dinner for 4 with 3 drinks, 2 appetizers came to over $200. Seemed steep for some pasta and a glass of a wine.
really liked the service and the food. our waiter was very helpful
Fantastic experience. Service was great and food was delicious!
The outdoor dining was great if you like to stop talking to your table mates while the bus stops for a read light. We have enjoyed many trips to Italy. The pizza was not up to snuff. The canned bear was good.
Was fabulous! Outdoor seating was great and our server Olivia was awesome! We shared and loved it all, truly. Such a great night.
This is by far one of the Best restaurants in San Diego, no question. Every time I eat there the food is EXCELLENT. I love the squash blossom app and the squid. Their tiramisu is to die for!! Thank you for a great experience every time.
Its been a couple if years since my last visit so the place, menu etc has changed quite a bit. The renovation of the interiors is quite nice and the place doesn’t feel as crowded now, but my visit was on a weekday. The quality of food unfortunately seems to have dropped a bit
Great food and service as always.
Yum yum as always
Wonderful evening. Great management of all the challenges of the day. Food and service superb.
We went to Cucina Urbana prior to going to the Old Globe. The food was good, service was great. The lettuce was a bit brown...but the squash blossom appetizer was divine. The giant meatball appetizer was great, but we didn't care for the octopus. We ate outdoors and it was very pleasant. We thought the $25 corkage fee was a bit steep. Overall it was a nice meal. Matt was a good waiter.
I loved the ambience. I loved our waiter he was so kind and from Georgia. The hospitality was great. The food wasn’t warm or even hot.
Oh my gosh we had the best server I wish I knew his name. Great food and drinks
The waiter was great. Made sure we were out in time fir our play without feeling rushed. Fab experience.
