This is our new favorite place to dine The service was undeniably the best we have had in a long while.

Loved the fried oyster appetizer. Our waitress was terrific. Much louder on a Saturday evening than I remember from a previous time. My wife's steak was very tasty and tender but under cooked for medium. Still raw inside.

Always excellent food, but service was incredibly slow and even nonexistent at times. We waited a full 10 minutes before ever being greeted at the table- each server thought the other was taking our table. Yet no one approached us. When we finally flagged her down, she took our drink and appetizer order- the appetizer arrived before our drinks! Definitely not a good experience. The server was apologetic, but unfortunately service didn’t improve. Overall, disappointing, as we were there to celebrate a special occasion and the lack of attentiveness impacted our evening.

Disappointing at best. Marked depreciation since dining there a year ago. From inexperienced and overworked waiter to food that was sent back, the restaurant failed in so many areas required for enjoyment. Noise level was exasperated by live music that was heard several blocks away. Youthful and untrained staff had difficulty in arranging a cab service for pick-up at restaurant.

My meal was good but the salmon portion was small in my Salmon Salad and goat cheese was minimal. My co worker had ribs which were not edible. The Manager gave her another order which was equally poor.

They were considerate and concerned that we were not pleased.

We were celebrating both Mother's Day and a Birthday. The restaurant (in our area) was quite empty.
Despite that, we had terrible service. I must add that the maitre de was very kind and understanding regarding our complaints.

We had a mediocre experience once before (a nearly empty restaurant on a Saturday night last June with mediocre service) but wanted to give them a second chance-- Sadly, it will be our last visit. The parking is odd--underground garage has large signs for the restaurant but then once out of the car there is no signage of how to get to the restaurant's elevator. It was quite noisy on Mother's Day dinner (hard on the mother's ears!) and granted it was a very busy night; however we felt very rushed by our server, who also tried to upsell both a glass of wine and suggested we order a platter of oysters for the table in addition to the appetizers we had each ordered (odd!) . One of us ordered a burger medium rare and it was almost raw; the chicken parmesan was an unappetizingly huge breast; my scallops risotto however were tasty. Too many other great restaurants in the area--

My family went to their Mother’s Day brunch and it was fantastic! Great selection of food, the crab cakes and salmon were amazing! Also noteable- the Caesar salad, beets with feta, fried chicken, ham, sausage gravy and black bottoms. We had someone in our party who is allergic to eggs and a gentleman walked her through the buffet and was able to tell her all of the foods that did not contain eggs, she was so happy!

This was our first time there and our last. Our server was slow, forgetful and not what you would expect at a nice restaurant. Our food was served lukewarm, at best, the only thing that was hot were the truffle fries. My friend ordered the yams and did not get them, she had to ask for them. Definitely not worth $185 for 4 of us.

Cunningham's is a very good restaurant that was and can be exceptional.
I think that they have not recovered from their prior financial difficulties.

A wonderful, nurturing dining experience after a tough week. We dined al fresco listening to live calypso music on the terrace with expansive views of downtown Towson.

My wife Kim and I grazed charcuterie and a melon and fresh mozzarella appetizer while sipping a marvelous sparkling Rose’.

I had the beef tenderloin - which I usually don’t order because it’s too bland at most restaurant’s - but Cunningham’s does it right.

Kudos to Chef Jay, Laura at the front of the house, and the rest of the team.

We had a fantastic experience at Cunningham's. The server was welcoming and knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. The food is farm to table, and it was delicious!!! Among all of us, we had salads, truffle fries, steaks, creamed spinach, duck fat potatoes and asparagus - all fantastic. My 2 very picky kids were highly satisfied with their sirloin steak, and the chef kindly split the entree for us at no extra charge. Would highly recommend for any occasion!

The food in general was quite good, with a particular strength in desserts. They also have a good wine list and, creatively, show it on a tablet rather than paper so you can sort by different categories. The only suggestion is to avoid the coffee (mediocre) and the price, while not expensive, was a little higher than expected. Still, a good place, and particularly for the area.

went for a birthday dinner. Waiter was clueless
About the menu, could not tell us about the dishes. We ordered and did not got what we were told.
The manager was great! Was very helpful and asked how he could correct the problem... even afterwards the same waiter was very nonchalant about the whole thing. Then as an afterthought brought a cupcake with a birthday candle after we had finished dessert - very disappointing. Have been there many times and recommended it to others. I think the waiter needs some remedial training.

Food was wonderful!!!

Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you arrive just prior to the opening of the restaurant. We were required to wait for the garage doors to open exactly at 5:00 p.m. on the weekday we arrived.

Everything was as delightful as expected. Jerry was just super as our server and his team brought everything out in good order, with super presentation and delicious. We have enjoyed your restaurant several times and it was the first time our friends were there and they cannot wait to return.

Perfect. Been here several times and, while usually very good with excellent food/ambiance, this visit was outstanding. Server (Amanda) knew her food and was extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. Wines were VERY reasonably priced, and the 2016 Beaujolais made me forget why I stopped drinking Beaujolais 20 years ago. The local grown pork chop topped with bacon jam was one of the most special dishes I can remember having - and I RARELY order pork chops (thanks for recommendation, Amanda). Great experience and prices, while not inexpensive, were not over the top.

Small but mighty hide-away of excellent cuisine, service, and ambiance! Tucked away in the center of Towson, this place has a varied menu for any palette. The creativity of the menu makes the prices worthwhile. Weather-permitting outside dining is a treat too. Although parking may deter from visiting the restaurants in Towson, this restaurant has a parking garage attached which allows for easy access. Excellent date night experience!

For date night, my wife and I visited Cunningham’s for the first time. In spite of a couple of issues, dinner was very good and our server, who was very busy, did a fantastic job.

Consequently, I wish a couple of things will be addressed by the Chef and or restaurant manager. The open kitchen concept is an attractive feature in most restaurants. However, little attention appears to be focused on the cooks’ appearance. Maybe I’m old school but if you are working in front of the guests, your facial and uniform appearances should be evaluated. Secondly, if utensils are provided at the bread station then servers or FOH personal must be encouraged to use them at all times. Again, if we are working in view of the guests then we must bring our “A” game each time.

We look forward to dining at Cunningham’s again real soon.

Not having been in Towson for many years, I relied on Internet reviews to select Cunninghams. Decor is modern and attractive. We were there early on a Friday, and the staff was friendly in seating us, although we were the only people in the restaurant. Food was very good, but the waiter seemed overly stuffy in pushing a bottle of wine with dinner, desert, etc., looking down his nose at members of our party who only wanted one drink and a light meal as we were on our way to a cocktail reception. He was quite rude, and I'm not sure I would return there.

We were celebrating a friend's birthday. Service was attentive without being intrusive. We shared a wedge lettuce salad and a beet salad. Both were delicious. Entrees were the crab cake, one of the flatbread choices and the roast chicken. Only problem was that the roast chicken wasn't completely roasted. We didn't send it back because there was so much food that I could eat what was cooked and take home the rest and finish cooking with a reheat. We appreciated the birthday cupcake. Delicious coffee. And on Sundays all wines are 20% off which was almost like a birthday present.

We dine here frequently, and were not disappointed. We were in search of the Pea Salad and it was better than ever. Jackie and Jerry were attentive and the meal was delicious and well paced. My husband had the fried oysters, as always, and they were great. My friend and I had the pea salad, and she followed that with a beet salad while I had the harvest flat bread. Desserts were equally pleasing. We will be back soon.

Somehow, Cunningham’s isn’t on my radar when scheduling a night out with friends. I’m glad it popped up in a “restaurants near me” search. It was the perfect place to meet up with friends for a special occasion. We ordered a drink at the gorgeous bar overlooking Towson. We were seated when we requested and enjoyed a delicious meal. I ordered the scallops with mushroom risotto. Others at the table ordered steak and fish. It was all fabulous. If you like chocolate, please save room for the devils food dessert. Overall, it was a bit more than I like to spend for a night out, but worth it for the ambiance, service and cuisine.
