    We went to their Thansgiving dinner on Thursday and all I can say is WOW! It was 4 courses of non-stop food!!! We had plenty to take home with us and that was great since everywhere was closed. Chicken pate was very new to me and I'm not sure if it all tastes that yummy, but this was mouth watering. Bacon Deviled Eggs that had full flavoring throughout. Cheesy bread. Lobster Bisque soup and Butternut Squash Soup that had full chunks and creamy. The Turkey - hands down the winner!! I've never had Turkey that I wanted to keep going back for more. fyi a fight almost occurred that evening on who had those leftovers. Hanger Steak that had a perfect sear and medium well cook and was still cutable with a butter knife. Cheesy potatoes that you would never guess would be a star side dish. Cornbread stuffing. Fresh made cranberries. Fried crunch brussel sprouts. The desserts were over the top as can be expected in a place that started their business in bakery and sweets. Carrot cake that was so so moist! Apple Cheesecake with caramel! and deconstructed Pecan Pie!!! Servers were super friendly and every server that passed our table checked up on us to make sure we were taken care of. Best value and price of any Thanksgiving dinners in the area when we were looking other than maybe a chain restaurant.

    We had the Thanksgiving meal… we waited 40 minutes between the appetizer and entree. The hanger steak and ham were overcooked, but the turkey was very good. The scalloped potatoes were also good. Cheesecake and the deconstructed chocolate pecan pie were excellent, the carrot cake was very dry. The dining experience was supposed to include a pastry box, but it was not given to us. Overall we found the meal to be overpriced.

    The Thanksgiving meal was good however overpriced. We did not receive our goodie bag. Coffee was not included, only water. Our reservation was at 11am. The gate entrance was locked. The menus had not been printed.

    Some of the food was really good…salads and soups. Burgers were over cooked. The waitress tried really hard, but she had difficulty in getting orders right and had to ask several times. The bar was out of both a wine and a vodka that were offered on the menu. The interior is very nice, clean and welcoming. It’s a great little place. The only negative about the ambience was that it was extremely warm in the restaurant.I hope they improve and succeed.

    Overall enjoyable brunch experience. The entire staff was very sweet and the food was delicious! I myself ordered the breakfast flat bread, my brother, the chicken biscuit sandwich, and his wife the shrimp and grits. All delicious!

    Our Inn told us about this little hidden restaurant for breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and the history of this restaurant is amazing! The stuffed french toast was so rich and yummy! Can't wait to go back.

    The service was great. From the host to the waitress to the owner coming by. I can’t wait to go back and experience the patio this summer. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken (I believe that’s the accurate name—see picture). The chicken was really good; it had a really nice kick.

    I've been to Cupcrazed several times for brunch. I really liked it at first. I thought that it was much better than Village Cafe, but unfortunately, to me, the quality of food and the service has gone downhill in the short time that they've been open. I went with friends for brunch on Sunday. Our server (who was very nice) brought out the soup first. We then we waited for over an hour for the rest of our meal. Something must have gotten screwed up in the kitchen, but there was no explanation. We had to ask few times when our food would be ready. When they brought my French toast casserole, it wasn't hot. I asked if it could be heated up a bit, and by the time it was brought out to me, the rest of our table was already done eating. I had to ask for it in a to-go box. The manager didn't come out to explain why everything took so long or apologize, and there was no compensation on the bill. Our server apologized several times, but couldn't really give us a definitive reason why everything took so long. The French toast casserole was good, however the Redneck Benny wasn't as good as it used to be, and the Avocado toast was just ok (there was no dressing for the salad that it came with). Even when we went into the bakery to ask about their "stuffed cookie", the girl working there didn't know what kind it was. I honestly wouldn't have written this review if the manager had come to the table to explain or apologize, but he didn't. I don't think that we will be going back, which is sad because there aren't very many breakfast spots in Blowing Rock.

    Had brunch Sunday, we arrived close to 10 am, it wasn't busy and were seated on the patio right away. The patio itself was very charming, the server was nervous and we wrote it off to being young and inexperienced. We ordered a ham egg and cheese biscuit, hash, and a chicken ceasar, which took an hour to come out, and when it did good lord. No cheese on the sandwhich, which I should add was dry as the dessert and ice cold. The woman who dropped it off seemed annoyed at us for mentioning it was supposed to have cheese, and said she would bring us a slice. They ended up just bringing out cheese eggs instead. The salad was not much better. It felt as though they had used the leftover chicken from the night before and just cooked it to death in attempt to make it hot...it was not. There were no croutons on the salad and the dressing was non-existent. Hash was good though. All in all we paid nearly $50 for a breakfast waffle house employees would scoff at. Lesson learned. If you like atmosphere great, if you want to enjoy your meal...I'd go elsewhere.

    Brittany, Thank you for addressing these concerns. We cannot become better without feedback. We will most definitely be looking into this and I have already started looking at the timing and speed to make sure our customers are getting the food and it is hot when it arrives at the table. It appears you arrived at 9:55am and was immediately sat. Your server Tristen submitted your order at 9:58am. It left the kitchen at 10:25am (yes a little longer than we would have liked) and your payment was processed at 10:53am. All in all, you were dining with us less than an hour. I will be addressing any food quality issues with our staff today and see where that issue didn't meet our standard. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Went for a simple bite and enjoyed a cocktail in front of the fireplace. The owner or manager had a sampling of desserts that are great! The Mule was made as a cocktail should, unlike others around.

    Very cute & quaint place. We had brunch & our scrambled eggs were a little over cooked but, but everything else was great. I guess we should have asked for eggs to be lightly scrambled. Chef greeter us & service was very good. Highly recommend this restaurant.

    Loved the homey feel to the place and the food was great. A wee bit smokey, but they have not figured out how to get a ventilation system that will work for this issue. Sweet staff members and was sad the bakery was closed during our visit.

    We arrived for our reservation for 6. We were led to a 4 top and I had to remind them our party was for 6. After being seated for 30 minutes we had to find a server to see if we had been forgotten about. An hour later we finally got our food but did not have flatware. We then had to find our server to pay the bill. The food was decent.

    I went to Cupcrazed 3 times last week. I am NOT going to compare it to the Village Cafe as so many have. The service is poor. I think the owner needs to hire one more waiter. We had two different waitresses and both seemed unorganized in their thoughts and overwhelmed. The first outing my hash browns were absolutely less than room temperature. The two tables next to me waited for their food for 20 minutes only to be told there were no more waffles. They had to reorder at that point. Seeing as waffles are about 1/4 of the menu, and the batter cannot be that difficult to produce, I found this a bit shocking. On my second day, the owner compensated for the waitress nicely and my salmon toast was delicious. The coffee is excellent too. On our third day, the service was again horrendous. We waited 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order. She was having to wait the upstairs as well. Too much. My wife ordered the waffle with berries and was served a dried waffle with scant cream and some unappetizing blob of mutilated berries in top. She returned it, and we were comped for the waffle. Our hash browns were again absolutely cold and the cheese was hard and cold. It was all completely room temperature. The owner is present and clearly trying. I would suggest to her to hire more staff and train the kitchen. Their product could be better. I would close for a week and have them cook the food for you. I know that cost $$ but in the long run it will make you money. (Or find an experienced chef/cook to lead the cooks). Your cafe could be special…. the location and ambiance are in place. Cooks and more staff! See you next year!

    Our old faithful breakfast places were all closed. We had a lot of trouble locating any place. This was adequate, just ok. Grits were great. I think time and practice will help this little place get itself together. Nice staff

    This place is charming. I appreciate the wait staff. They are hard working and eager to please. I have to admit, an additional server would have been beneficial. The restaurant was smoke filled. A fan to the outside from the kitchen area should be considered. I want this restaurant to be successful. The staff and new owner is deserving of a chance to get things right. I am hopeful and will try again on my next visit to Blowing Rock.

    I am really sorry to have to say this, but they need a good manager to oversee everything. One person should be able to handle the folks coming in with and without reservations (not three people) everyone seemed very confused. Three different waitresses took our drink orders and unfortunately they seemed very inexperienced. We did not ever get a coffee refill and it took a long time to get cream and sugar that should come out with the coffee, not 10 minutes later. There should be one waitress for the table, not three and it was very chaotic. The food was fair, the hashbrowns were undercooked. Unfortunately for the new owners, you will not survive in Blowing Rock unless you make some changes quickly.

    Great spot for dinner that is a perfect setting for Blowing Rock. Brought my dog and the servers and staff were very accommodating. The streak and fries is probably one of the best I've had.

    Such a beautiful and historic restaurant in the heart of downtown Blowing Rock. I had the Pork Shank for dinner and it was exceptional. This will be a go to entree when I return it was so good. The owner brought an assortment of desserts and they were phenomenal as well!

    One of our favorite brunch spots (and recently we found they had a fairly unique dinner menu). We love sitting on the patio when the weather is nice. We used to visit when it was under the other owners and the hospitality is so refreshing now!! It's also nice that we can make reservations instead of being told that as a local, we didn't matter.

    I truly hope this place can make it, but I think it will need improvements in order to. I had a reservation for 4 at 9:45 and we were not seated until after 10, though there were more empty tables than full ones. That delay wasn’t a big deal, but it was very chaotic at the hostess stand with only the owner seeming to be able to make decisions about seating people. The waitstaff was super timid and I got the impression that they were fearful of the owner or of the unhappy patrons, or both. We all ordered coffee with mixed results. One mug had lipstick on it and 2 coffees were lukewarm. There seemed to be no sugar around and it took a while to get cream. The food was good, but the atmosphere was lacking because there were a lot of irritated people around. The owner seemed to blame the waitstaff for the issues, but from my observation, it was the training and management that were lacking.

    I sincerely hope this restaurant makes it but I have my doubts. Saturdays in a mountain resort are usually very busy so good management plans for it. Never accept more reservations than the staff and kitchen can nicely serve. Always train, then retrain, then retrain again, the wait staff. Instead Cupcrazed failed on all counts save one: my food, a simple egg and bacon dish, was very good. We were in the village for a wedding and nine of us went for brunch. No one felt good about it.

    this cafe is hidden in downtown blowing rock. it seems even our inn didn't know where to get breakfast until we found it while wandering around to grab a snack and came back the next morning. the tomato soup and grilled cheese was so reminiscent of a what a fall morning in a mountain town should be. spoke to the owner and she said they opened just a few weeks ago and getting some menu changes and updates for what customers are wanting. of any restaurant in the area, they were very cautious of gluten sensitivity with even a chef coming and discussing with us options and possible cross contamination, which i havent ever had a restaurant do.

    Arrived early and the host seated us promptly. He quickly went over some specials. Our breakfast arrived almost within 5 minutes, which shocked us (the waitress was bringing our coffee). We would have enjoyed a little more time than immediately getting our food since it was a beautiful morning and nice little area. We did sit and enjoy the scenery.

    Once we finally were able to flag down a server and order, we were informed of a lot of out-of-stocks (i.e. quiche, waffles, hashbrowns, etc.). Would have been nice to know when we were seated to plan out our meals. We did not see drinks (i.e. mimosa) on the menu - but, other tables had them and did not see any sweets on the menu, despite the name. Heard other tables saying how much the restaurant has gone downhill with the new owners. The servers seemed overwhelmed and stressed and not at all attentive.
