   Everything was amazing. We had a great evening and loved everything we ordered including the soft-shell crab, foi gras, mussels, ravioli and cheesecake. All spectacular. The service was also wonderful.

   In general we found the food to be outstanding, with small exception being that lamb entree was to be served medium rare, but was medium to medium well. It was still very tasty. The service was also outstanding. However, the noise level during the first half of our visit was horrible. We couldn’t hear the waitress nor each other without multiple repeats, and significantly ruined that part of the experience, so much so that I got up and toured the restaurant looking for possible alternative tables. I noted some but knew our party would be embarrassed if I requested a move, so did not. (We were seated in the room to the left of the maitre’d station, in the middle of the room; perhaps 5 tables were empty.) About mid meal a few more tables left and the noise level was acceptable, with about 1/2 the room empty at that point. I would love to return to enjoy the excellent food, but would only do so if assured of a table in one of the smaller rooms. Thank you, Cynthia Polt

   We were seated on time. The wait staff is attentive. There were plenty of choices on the menu for staters and mains. There flavors were all excellent. We didn't try any desserts.

   Lunch menu. Professional service by our waiter, Zach. Food was excellent - especially the salmon. Pleasant surroundings—considering the location on 190. Would recommend for lunch.

    The soup du jour was cream of oyster and asparagus soup, it was like eating silk, it was fabulous! I would highly recommend this restaurant. And I will revisit it when I’m back in Covington. Our waiter was fabulous, she was very helpful & accommodating.

    This restaurant has been around for about 100 years - ok, maybe 25+. And we have been coming here about that long. Our first observation is how in the heck do you find that many employees who work so well as a team and clearly like what they are doing and have been there a long time themselves - even the ones who are only may be 18😂. Our observation is that says a lot about the restaurant all by itself. Never ever had a bad meal here. It is not a cheap restaurant but you really don’t get this kind of treatment/meal from cheap restaurants and so it’s worth paying an extra buck if you can do it. When the restaurant side is completely booked it can get a little noisy but honestly it doesn’t seem to bother anybody! It’s a keeper on our list of go to!

    Food was excellent! First time visit for our friends and they were impressed. Crab and Brie soup, bleu salad for all and we each had a different entree.. swordfish, redfish, salmon and lamb chops. Every dish was delicious and perfectly cooked. Chocolate Sheba for desserts! ♥️ And Gavin did a great job! We spent a while talking and he was very attentive but not intrusive. We will be back!

    My crab and brie soup appetizer was superb. I ordered the salmon entree which was excellent and cooked precisely to my specified level of doneness. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was perfect for what was a reunion with my sister after having COVID mess up our Christmas plans. The level of noise was just right - not deadly quiet but a pleasant but unobtrusive hum. We will be back.

    Only drawback was the greeting from the male Maitre 'd. After gathering my husband's attire (dress shorts and collared shirt), he loudly attests to my husband's wardrobe and states that the main dining room would not be open to us, but we can sit in an offshoot room. Which is fine, but just seat us, the announcement did not need to be uttered. My husband was ready to exit the restaurant after this treatment. Fortunately, our waiter, Hudson, saved the evening - he was excellent!!

    Disappointed only in the seating arrangement. I asked for a back corner table to have a nice somewhat quiet anniversary dinner. We were seated in a back corner table with outside view. Great location. However after 30 minutes of a nice quiet dining, in walks a crew of 8 that were extremely loud and I felt the manager should have calmed them down. After about 20 min of their cutting up I think a waiter said something because when we were waiting to get the bill, our waitress said those people picked up our bill since they were noisy. So I thanked them for doing this nice gesture but I think if a request is made for a quiet area the restaurant should seat large tables in another area or attend their table and recommend the noise lowered. This is a fine dining restaurant and should be controlled as such. Our waitress was wonderful and since I don’t have a bill I don’t remember her name. I will return again cause the food was very good.
