   We had breakfast brunch it was affordable and had a great large verity of food for everyone and everyone s dietary needs I Loved the juice bar area it was different than other brunch restaurants in hotel s and was delicious The server we had was very friendly and kind always a smile when u entered and she gave us a table overlooking the Rideau canal It was very clean as well Definitely will go again next time there staying

   For a mid-level hotel, the food at the breakfast buffet was top notch. The service was fabulous, the place is nice and clean and when something went wrong the server fixed it right away. I will absolutely bring my family here. The food tastes good, there's lots of it, like an omelette station and a cheeseboard, fresh fruit and pastries, all very nice.

   My recent experience at the restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. It was for a birthday celebration. From the moment we arrived at the restaurant, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were warm, friendly, and attentive, and it was clear that they were determined to make our visit as enjoyable as possible. The buffet breakfast was the highlight of our visit. The spread was absolutely amazing, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. There were hot and savory options like hash browns, oatmeal and eggs as well as cold options like fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries like gaufre, pancake and croissant. The omelette station was a particular our favorite, as the chef expertly cooked up a delicious made-to-order omelette just the way we like it. But it wasn't just the quality of the food that impressed me. It was also the attention to detail that really made this breakfast stand out. Everything was beautifully presented, and the restaurant had clearly put a lot of thought and care into creating a memorable dining experience. But what really made this breakfast special was the kindness of the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy and comfortable, and it really made all the difference. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a warm and welcoming environment. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making the birthday celebration such a special and memorable day!

   This was my first time back at Daly’s for the breakfast buffet since the pandemic and I was very disappointed. There has been a notable decline in quality. Sausage looked good but was mush around the crispy interior. Eggs/omelettes very average. Bacon was excellent. French toast and pancakes sadly D.O.A. under the heat lamps. Fruit was reasonably fresh but selection was unimaginative. Cereal station was sad. Juices were not refilled. Restaurant gives out tiny glasses I guess to discourage customers from drinking too much juice. Mediocre yogurt. Very limited selection of sweets, whereas that used to be a highlight. All in all, a very average buffet; whereas it had been something special before the pandemic. No longer worth the price (about $40 per person). Service and ambiance were both good.

    Brunch was underwhelming. Poached eggs at room temp, terrible potatoes, not “crispy hash browns” as menu suggests. Bacon was a bit greasy. Toast was good, again at room temp. Not many alternatives for Sunday brunch in Ottawa??

    Scenic view looking at the canal, not too busy. Lots of food choices for all of us and all very fresh. Our server and all staff were very pleasant and kept our coffee full and dishes cleared as we all enjoyed the buffet.

    I made the reservation online with OpenTable and got a confirmation but when I arrived the receptionist seemed unable to find it. She then asked if I was a guest in the hotel, which seemed impertinent. When she finally took me to my table I gave her the name of the business associate I was meeting, and asked her to show the person to my table when she arrived. When my guest appeared to be late, I got up and looked in the adjacent space and found she had been seated there. My associate told me that she had also given my name to the receptionist and had asked that I be directed to her table. The service was in my opinion not up to the standard that should be expected of a good hotel.

    Location is great, service was very good. Pricing at over $80 for a brunch is quite steep. Open Table did not update their menu for Mother's Day for this restaurant, so we were surprised that the cost was double what it normally is. We only found out when we received the bill.

    Service was outstanding. Very attentive, very kind, engaged with small talk but not overbearing, no issues whatsoever with the service staff. We went for Easter brunch, I attempted to call the hotel previously to get more information and no one could tell me anything, the front desk took my email to send me information when they got it and I never received anything. We were looking for menus or brunch information because we had people with allergies and food preferences. There’s no menu online as well as no pricing. We took our chances and went anyway, only to find out that the brunch was $79 per adult and half price for children under four. Though the waiter seemed to not have any info and have to get it for us. We decided to stay, but was not impressed with the food overall certainly not for the price. Additionally the waiter attempted to charge us for an adult who did not eat any food due to not meeting their dietary requirements. When I questioned him about it and challenged him he told me he couldn’t do anything and that it was already in the system and that we had to pay for all adults sitting at the table. Mind you the restaurant was not busy and we did not take away a seat from a paying customer. Eventually after I kindly challenged and offered to speak with the manager he was able to remove it and we insured that we paid for the coffee that this person drank and he was tipped kindly. While our experience was not poor overall, we found that the pricing, the food for the pricing and then attempting to have us pay and telling us there was nothing that could be done left a sour taste in our mouth especially when the menu and pricing was not available online or by phone ahead of time.

    The restaurant manager never accepted my OpenTable voucher for $26.00 today even though the voucher says right on it that is is accepted at any OpenTable Restaurant in Canada. WTF?

    It is a lovely place to look out at the canal, watch the skaters and boats, etc. My guest had to ask for a drink about 3 times before it arrived. The coffee cups are too small./...coffee gets cold too quickly.

    My husbanc and I enjoye our breakfast veruy much. had the Blueberry pabcake with a bowl of fresh fruit, with separate pots of tea which was very hot as we like it. Service was excellent and very quick. We had a window sear which gave us a view of the street and the Confederarion Building as well as the Chateau Laueir.

    Altogether, a thoroughly disappointing experience. Daly’s used to be deservedly famous for its brunch buffet. That’s why my 2 friends and I decided to go there, unaware that the new management (Marriott) had decided to kill this buffet as a dubious - and reportedly ill-advised- cost-saving measure. Result: we had to choose from an uninspiring $32 “à la carte” menu. After an unduly long wait, we were served, in sequence: cheapo - and short-on-bubbles - mimosas, a nondescript and meagre cheese and cold cuts platter, and cold eggs. My own cold eggs benedict were accompanied by a tepid and unpalatable sauce and warmish smoked salmon. Only saving grace: our friendly, knowledgeable and professional waiter (Rachid) who did his best under the circumstances and was apologetic although the fiasco was not his responsibility. Based on the low number of diners around us - a striking difference with the past - we are not the only ones who have been turned off by the new offerings.

    The buffet is really ordinary, really few choices of dishes. The cheese plate would have needed to be renewed instead of three small pieces. The sausages were overcooked and hard. The price is really too high for what you can eat.
