Toronto’s highly awaited DaNico has opened its doors in the historic landmark bank building in the heart of the Palmerston-Little Italy neighbourhood.

Created in partnership between hospitality giant Liberty Entertainment Group, Don Alfonso and Executive Chef Daniele Corona, DaNico offers the modern Italian culinary traditions accompanied by exceptional service and uniquely bespoke design.

Michelin star Chef Daniele Corona brings his exceptional talent to this fine-dining destination restaurant. As executive chef, his signature menu focuses on the modern Italian culinary traditions he is regarded for, combined with Asian influences, utilizing the very finest, local, and sustainable ingredients available in the country.

This exclusive experience includes return transportation and our 8-course tasting menu dinner for two at DaNico. The experience is $1,000 per couple, $1,800 for parties of 4 if they’re at the same address, $2,000 for two separate pickup/drop off locations, plus 20% gratuity and applicable taxes. Dinner reservations are Friday and Saturday at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Our driver will pick you up 30-45 minutes prior to your reservation within radius of 30 minutes drive around DaNico.

                      We had a great experience there are just little things that can be worked on in our opinion We had the signature menu with the premium wine tasting. The amuse Boucher were excellent and very well presented. The crab dish was underwhelming as it is very small and the crab is shredded and was completely over powered by the celery in the dish. The duck was excellent and so was the pasta dish. We upgraded to the Kobe steak which was incredible. The dessert was really good too we preferred the strawberry rhubarb to the mango one. The wine pairing was perfect but the pours were so small! My wife asked for a little too up of champagne which we had. However we were very disappointed to see that it was added to our bill at the end of the diner. When u spend well over 1,000 for 2, you don’t expect an $18 added to your bill for a little top up of champagne. It was a nice experience but felt too expensive for what it was.

                      We tried the tasting menu, good arrangement of different food. Only the spaghetti too salty. Bread is the most attractive one.

                      One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Toronto. Every dish was incredible, and we experienced the best service from the staff, led by Graham, a master of his craft! Amazing dining experience, highly recommend!

                      The attentiveness to detail in food composition, service, and everything in between was impeccable. Both tasting menus are incredibly worth it, especially at the reasonable price point. Can’t stop raving about this place.
