My wife and I ordered the pickerel lunch. The meal was fantastic. The fish was about the size of my hand with a delicious batter. The fingerling potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The red cabbage slaw was great. Overall, everything about the restaurant and meal was 5 star.

Dinner was delicious. We always enjoy the chef’s food and presentation. Would like to bring our own wine and pay $50. Corkage! That would make the evening perfect! It is great to have an amazing bottle of wine with an amazing dinner.

Had a wonderful dinner. Food was outstanding, service was very good and music was on low volume, which was great for having conversation. Loved and was surprised by many small compliments: warm lavender hand towels, focaccia with herb butter, olive oil and hummus, a bite of roasted eggplant, cantaloupe gelato for pallet cleansing and home made truffles. Highly recommended.

Spectacular venue, superb cuisine, a couple of minor issues that the staff noted as already identified in the season, but not yet addressed! The background music at its lowest level is too loud given the echo chamber that houses this find restaurant… and the lovely napkins are ‘useless’ on absorptive characteristics.. so my balsamic/0live oil dressing quickly transferred to my light blue pants, from the surface of the napkin.. most annoying… Otherwise a great experience that can be easily remedied. Staff were delightful. It was an anniversary and I was asked about it several times.. it would be ‘normal’ practice to offer something celebratory, perhaps the shared dessert??? ( I am an old GM. Who wouldn’t have let such an opportunity for goodwill pass me buy, and making something special even moreso!

A true dinning experience. Quality of the food coupled with the amazing presentation is like no other in this part of Ontario. As Board Chair of Tourism Sarnia Lambton I emphatically recommend it.

Beautiful clean venue and property. Friday night singer and pianist were excellent. Food esp braised beef was delicious. Service was exceptional. You can also buy wine to take home at dinner. A delicious enjoyable evening.

We were happily surprised at the quality of food and selection. Our table had oysters, scallops, carpaccio, for apps and the black cod special and beef short rib for mains. Everyone loved it. Great job. It was disappointing to show up 20 minutes before our reservation at 5:15 and not being offered a place to sit and have a glass of wine or a cocktail. That would have been the only downside. Everything else was spot on.

Food was excellent! The atmosphere was perfect. Very clean and inviting. Good service. We had a party of six and all were very satisfied. The small touches made a difference such as sorbet between appetizer and main. Wine was very good.

It was a birthday celebration that was perfect. All of us enjoyed our dining experience and can’t wait to return. We recently moved back to Huron County and have been searching for special places to take friends and family to. Danu Cellars and Dark Horse Winery is a treasure to find. Kudos to the chef and all staff for making our time so special.

Danu was exceptional. Every bite was top notch. We were a table of four. We had two appetizers, scallops and the beet salad. Both were amazing. For dinner we had 2 short ribs, a salmon dish and a corn risotto. We didn’t leave anything on our plates. It was scrumptious. Service was on the ball. Ambiance was lovely. It is expensive but worth the splurge.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. We ate here before the play at Grand Bend Playhouse. We were pleasantly surprised by the service ambiance and the food. Jamie our waitress was very knowledgeable in wine pairings the presentation was fantastic. Kudoos to the chef he is doing an awesome job.
