    Nice old house. No view. Quiet. Food lovely but not outstanding. For $365 for 2 people who only dank in total 3 glasses of wine we expected more. The waitress Maddi was delightful, however the head waiter was officious and disinterested in our table. He spent much time speaking to the table next to us 10 - 15 minutes at a time. They were spending lots of money on wine. We were too friendly (degree of aloofness and arrogance required) and we had a sense of humour. Restaurant snobbery doesn’t cut it with regular foodies. Genuine people any day of the week! We are all paying the same bill for the 3 course menu.

    We had a most enjoyable fine dining experience at darley's. Every course was beautifully presented and delicious. I had the porcine ice cream out of curiosity and glad I did. Although mushroom is not flavour anyone would associate with desert, the chef somehow makes it work. I will be sure to come back again when I visit Katoomba again.

    Could not recommend enough. Such beautifully presented and tasting food. Probably one of the best restaurants I have been too and I am a big foodie. The Porcini ice cream was definitely a high light, so different to anything I have had before. Love love love.

    We've eaten at Darley's twice now and were equally impressed with the food, service, and ambiance each time. My starter was the venison tartare, which was wonderfully refreshing, which was wonderfully prepared with truffles and currant. I ordered the Chargrilled Wagyu Beef as my main and, while I rarely order steak when dining out, I was curious to see how well Darley's prepared and presented theirs. It was exceptional. The beef was done to perfection and melted in my mouth. The squash puree and bone marrow jus were the perfect accompaniments. Desert was porcini ice cream, which was delicious, but I reckon a savoury ice cream is not to everyone's taste. This was all from a fixed price menu at $145/person, which I believe is quite good value. I highly recommend Darley's.

    Darley's Restaurant is my favorite top end restaurant in Australia so far. The service is second to none and the food is delicious. You cannot find a better restaurant to celebrate that special occasion.

    For our 10 year anniversary, this place was unbelievable. From status to finish… we were treated and valued. They even lit a separate fire place for us, near the bar, for a pre-dinner drink. The food has always been good, we have found. Yet, it was even better after a good few years of waiting. Can’t recommend it, enough. Amazing!

    The food was superb. I had the pork belly for entree and medium rare Wagyu beef steak for main, they were yummy 😋. Dessert was also good, just the right balance of sweetness. Paul was very pleasant and has made our experience a lot better by his accommodating manner. The place and atmosphere was elegent, perfect for a romantic dinner. My partner and I definitely enjoyed the food, felt full, satisfied and happy afterwards.

    Food quality was excellent. Staff not yet quite up to the same standard (a bit more flair required), and we were twice delivered food for another table. Nice to see some half bottles on the wine list for those who have a partner who doesn't drink. Have been there before (pre-Covid), and the place has probably slipped a notch - as have many. Worth persevering though and I look forward to a return visit again sometime soon.
