Really good food and creative, though limited, menu. Drinks were okay, but I expected better for the premium price point. The “natural wine” concept is a nice twist on the everyday, but it makes for a very limited wine selection. Finally, don’t plan on a long, relaxing or romantic dinner. The clock is running the minute you sit down, and they give you a 15 minute “it’s time to go” warning! Might as well just charge by the minute! Car wash anyone?

Great selection of beverages I’ve not seen elsewhere. Food menu that doesn’t overwhelm and most items are easily shared. The brassica salad is amazing.

We attended a Christmas Drag Brunch even this past weekend and had a blast! The food came out super quick and was exactly what I wanted for brunch - something I can't make at home but really hits the spot! The drinks were also unreal - an amazing wine selection and the cold brew martini was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Darling and will be coming back for dinner in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed our dinner at Darling. Menu is eclectic and small but everything we had was excellent.

Wonderful,flavorful meal served with great hospitality. The brassica salad was an explosion of taste and the linguini with pulled pork was unique in that you mixed fromage blanc into it to start the meal. Credits to Chef Lindsay James for an exceptional food experience; we highly recommend Darling.

Went for brunch with my sister. Cozy little restaurant. Loved the decor. Had the French toast and it was amazing.

A pricey wine selection. Noisy, particularly when they loaded the garbage bags at the bar with empty bottles. Pasta dish was good as was the anchovy on toast

I love sharing plates and these were very delicious- octopus, beef tartare, burrata. I found the dishes to be fresh, beautiful and enough on the 3 plates for both of us to be full. The tables are really tiny though and it was a case of mega rearranging to actually share. The wine and drink list is VERY small and honestly, wine wasn’t served at the right temperature in my opinion. You can’t ask for any cocktails other than the four on the menu, which I found quite odd. The service was perfunctory, timely, not warm and fuzzy which was okay with me just funny. We found the atmosphere quite wonderful as the lighting and decor is very restful and modern. All in all, had a great time there and will go back.

This was my second visit to Darling, but first for a dinner service and the food and wine did not disappoint! What an absolute gem of a restaurant that I am lucky enough to have right in my neighbourhood. The anchovy toast and oysters were a standout for me! Even if you don't live close, I promise you that Darling is worth the visit!

My friend took me for birthday brunch. We received complementary bubbly to celebrate, and the food was DELICIOUS. I had the Turkish Style Eggs, and she had the Spanish Potato Omelette. Both were perfection and we ate every last bit. Server was friendly and attentive. Best of all the prices were incredibly reasonable for such high quality everything. Will definitely be back over and over. Highly recommend if you love unique but approachable dishes, and a chill atmosphere.

Cannot rave about this place enough! We went for after dinner drinks and the wine list did not disappoint. Our server was amazing and so knowledgeable. Such a trendy place, super cozy and intimate feel. We had our infant with us, he slept the entire time but they did offer a high chairs so I would say it’s family friendly! When we come back to Edmonton we will definitely be going again!

We had a group gathering and the service was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere was great and had a fun vibe while the food was elevated above the norm and simply mouth watering. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We have visited Darling a number of times by ourselves, with family and last night with friends. We have always enjoyed our visits. However our visit this last evening was disappointing. Although your prices don’t seem to have changed much your food portions have. These are apparently sharing plates and we noticed a drastic change in the size of portions.
