My last experience had a few hiccups but tonight far exceeded my expectations! I booked the reservation for my twin sister and her girlfriends from university and she had nothing but positive things to say, our former served reconciled all previous hiccups and it was a wonderful night for all parties!! <3 will be back !!

The atmosphere at Darya was inviting and we had a great view of the ocean. Service staff were attentive and they had great recommendations for food and drinks. Food selections were outstandingly tasty and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.

Overall an ‘ok’ experience. We decided to brave the grey evening and sit outside so noise levels were low but so was the lighting. Pretty much no extra lighting by our table once it got dark. The restaurant inside is beautiful. Was offered blankets when we sat outside first and declined them at the time. Later asked for them as the temperature dropped and it took about 20m to get them despite the fact the restaurant inside and out was only about a third full. Which leads to service. It was odd and sporadic at best. Our waitress was either not in sight or in full hurry elsewhere when we wanted something. There was a very heavy handed push on buying another bottle of wine. Three staff came by and pushed it. Lastly the food: this is exotic Mediterranean so not your typical Mezza, so won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. The appies were good but small portions. The mains were mostly kebabs. While appies were served quickly and efficiently the mains were about 45m later at best. And when we asked about them almost at the 45m mark the waitress treated us like we were asking something completely off the mark. The main meats on the kebobs were good, the lamb was tasty but tough, all were only warm despite the long wait, and they were all served with cold rice.we would have loved to order desert and coffee but the service was so mediocre and wait long we went elsewhere for that. I’ve been to several of these sister restaurants at the Queen’s Marque. Everyone in our groups would say the same about all. Skip the mains have a nice drink and appie in a beautiful space and then go elsewhere downtown for a main.

Staff seems disengaged; they made little effort to build rapport. They made a great menu suggestion 15 minutes after we placed our order. I would have ordered what was recommended, but it was too late. Bill was presented before we were asked; there were many empty tables.

The food was so flavourful and delicious! One of the best meals we have had at a restaurant in a while. The patio views are also 10/10! My husband got the shawarma cured lamb special and it was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend!!

Made the reservation through the app, got there and no table was reserved. The host found one on the patio and sat us in the dark. The server was inattentive and did not know how to find us a candle or light for the table. Couldn't read the menu waited 10 minutes for just water and after 15 minutes walked out. I would never recommend this place to qnyone

Had a great time at Darya. No exaggeration - the donair-spiced octopus was honestly one of the most delicious things I've *ever* tasted. Ordered a side of couscous and it had a great cardamom flavour, the tabouleh was delicious too. The outside patio has a great vibe and view of the water, and the service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

First time there. The service was great, felt personal and it’s great that they ask about dietary restrictions from the off. They already have dairy/gluten free options but in some cases they are offer solutions for other dishes. Went at peak time, so service was a little slow at times but they kept checking in on us between serving. For what we wanted, it was actually nice not to feel like we were being rushed. Good food takes time. Had lots of shared dishes, the server helped us evaluate how much we needed and they got it spot on (i.e we didn’t need a kebab each, we just shared along with other small plates). The standout dish for me were actually the carrot side dish, it’s very clever (as is the warm cheesecake desert). The ambience is nice visually, just a little loud when full which isn’t the restaurant’s fault. I appreciated that the music, whilst oddly fast paced, is at a low volume. Also read a lot of complaints about it being too dark, that wasn’t the case at all for us so perhaps that’s been addressed. The drinks/food is pricey but that’s to be expected, it’s made with love. I would go again, most likely just for a couple of small dishes and a drink/cake. Would only go all out for very special occasions.

Service was on point! Three of us shared the tenderloin kebabs, chicken kebabs, octopus, couscous and the best darn carrots smothered in goodness! Oliver and Sonny were notable examples of great servers.
