This was the first time my husband and I had ever been to Dave & Busters; we are in our early 60’s… however we have 5 grown Adult children, who now have young families of their own. Our son Matthew, his wife and our 4YO grand daughter were visiting us here in Texas over the Thanksgiving Holidays… thus for the 1st time in many years; as they usually come at Christmas, 3 of our Adult Children (along with their spouses and their children) arranged to all get together in Austin to celebrate his 41st birthday. Our Adult children wanted to go some where, that would be fun for them, as well as their children… who range in age from 11 to 18month We made a reservation using the site their webpage suggests be use… Open Table… we listed that we would be a party of 12 and that we would be there to celebrate a Birthday…. And we were assigned availability at 2:45PM on 11/2 This was by far the WORST dining experience I have encountered in my entire life… when we arrived they didn’t seem to know we had a reservation. 10 minutes later they got thar issue squared away and we taken to area to wait while they set up a table large enough to accommodate our group. After being seated, we waited over 20 minutes, before we had to go find someone to ask if any wait staff was working where we had been sat? 5 minutes later the manager showed up and said there had been some confusion as to who had been assigned to our table and eventually a very nice man showed up and said that “even though this wasn’t his station he would be helping us”… almost 50 minutes after being sat..this gentleman took our order…. 40 minutes later, 2 of our 4 grandchildren’s orders arrived (1 cheeseburger & 1 chicken strips) and 3 of our children’s meals arrived (2 cheeseburger and 1 chicken wrap) 5 meals out of 12…. The rest of us… which included two very fussy toddlers by this time, and the other 5 meals did not arrive for almost another another 45 minutes… we won’t even discuss beverages or service

Extremely short staffed so the wait was extra long. Missing drinks but the manager of the area brought them to me at a later time. By the time our food came out, my entree wasn't with everyone else's food so when the check came, I just asked them to remove the charge. Guess it wasn't meant for me to eat it. Our servers/hosts/waiters were very kind, just way too overwhelmed. Management should adjust reservation times or come up with a plan when they know they'll be short staffed because there were at least 4-5 other groups behind us waiting to be seated and served. That will help the customers and the workers with more accurate timing & structure. Especially for those with kids waiting to eat.

We reserved a table for 20 to do a last minute birthday celebration for my oldest son (an adult). We had guests trickling in over a few hours and our server handled everything perfectly! Everyone at D&B made his party a great experience and everyone had a great time!!

We were told the air conditioning was out an hour into our meal. We were all sweating! If we had been told before we sat we would’ve rescheduled. It was way too hot in there!

The service was ok, the waiter was very attentive and professional. What I didn't like was the fact that "supposedly " there was an update to the ordering system and after waiting for the food for about 40 minutes the waiter comes back and tells us that the order we placed didn't transfer over and had to place it again. Then when the food actually came in after waiting another 20 minutes one of the dishes that was ordered had mushrooms after asking for them to not be placed. Then contemplating whether to send the dish back or not, we decided to not send it back in the fear of them taking even longer to remake the dish.

The food wasn’t that good and the servers always take super long to to come back and check on us for refills and other things. Also take a really long time to bring checks. Took over an hour for all of this and we were trying to play some games afterwards. But it got too late.

It is a D&B and we know that but food was okay, service was horrible, they sneak in gratuity on the bill and make it super confusing and easy to double tip and the whole place needs a thorough cleaning and attention paid to a lot of deferred maintenance.

It's too loud, too crowded, and too expensive to enjoy. The whole reason to go is that's games for *adults* but there were kids everywhere. The fight was on all the screens and unavoidable. Every table on the game floor had spills and stickiness. All the staff looked sad, bored, or both. The food was mediocre at best and still better than the service . Just go to Revl or main event.

Bri our server was extremely polite and very helpful for a party of twelve. Very professional and would recommend her to everyone. The reason I had to give it 4stars and not all five stars were that another server brought some food that we found out wasn't for our table and so once we realized it we informed Bri. Bri explained that since they cannot take that dish back since it sat at the table for a couple of minutes she ask if we wanted that we could keep it if not they would have to trash it. So we kept it, later it was brought to my attention that another male server for which the dish was for his table, rudely questioned some of my guests that were seated at the other end of our table "why they had excepted the dish that wasn't what we ordered". I am not at all happy about this. The male server that did this needs to be trained in his professionalism and attitude. This is not something that any of my guests should be questioned about, this is totally unacceptable! I'm not looking to get him fired but the boy needs to be taught respect before he becomes a liability to your company. (Humbled)

Though we had reservations, it took about an hour to get our food. Mind you, we have children & it was such a terrible experience. We all ordered something so basic which was a cheeseburger and pizza. We felt like it shouldn’t have taken that long for something so easily made. First, they didn’t have an appetizer I had been looking forward to eating. Then the pizza for the kids had came out, along with my kids cheese burger (I had wanted something small so I could enjoy the appetizer as well). And waited another 25-30 minutes for mayonnaise along with my older child and husband waiting for their cheeseburger. My husband had gotten somebody else’s food between that time as well. It was terrible. We won’t be returning

Hard time finding host/hostess for questions. Our server WAS GREAT though. Restrooms WERE LEFT UNATTENDED throughout most of evening, very dirty and messy all on counter tops and floor. Soap everywhere on counters. Dining in tables were not cleaned off in timely manner in common area to where other guests could sit and utilize table areas for themselves due to prior guest dishes not being picked up/cleaned up.

Having a party and then being asked by tables to move balloons so they can see the game was very annoying as we were asked twice. I would have been better to have the private room open for parties and keep the main dining for sports fans.
