Our server, Justice, was great! The food was okay.
Horrific. Davios used to be a nice place to dine but has fallen not only in to disrepair but the service is awful.
We used to love Davios before it closed for Covid. We have been twice since it reopened, and the service is not good. Our waiter was fine, but the food takes a long time to come out. The last time we came in, we asked for a booth (away from the screaming baby in the back), and the hostess was so rude. She said, "They are all reserved." It was a Sunday night at 7pm. After we finished our dinner, there was still no one in the booths. Also, the hostess suggested I move to a seat at a table that was set, instead of moving the place setting to where I wanted to sit at the table. I didn't want to look at the wall! I have never had a hostess tell me where to sit at a table in my life. The previous time we came in after the closing for Covid, the place was packed and not run well. The manager comped us some drinks. We were hoping they would have worked out the kinks when we came back in a month later, but no. For that kind of money, there are too many annoyances. The food is wonderful though!
Unfortunately it wasn’t the best experience for our third visit. My husband and I went for our 27th anniversary and both our birthdays. I informed them when i made the reservation, but nothing was acknowledged. I was ok with that. A little disappointed. We had our appetizers but no silverware so we stared at our food for a few minutes. Then when my pasta came I asked for cheese (I wasn’t asked like I would have expected-food was just dropped off) and we ended up asking another waitress because ours never came back. My husband ate almost half his meal while I waited for the cheese. For dessert we ordered Tiramisu and the chocolate molten cake. We were never asked how dessert was, so I didn’t have a chance to reorder the chocolate cake. It was over cooked and unfortunately the waiter never came to check on our dessert. He came to drop off the check and I asked him to please remove the cake since it was over-cooked and we didn’t eat it. We spent $200 last night and didn’t even have any alcohol. The price was not worth the service nor the food. Very disappointing since this is where they make Chicken Parmesan Rolls that he loves so much.
There where allot of issues with the food. On the bright side the service was good and management did their best to compensate for the issues in the kitchen. This isn’t typical and in time they’ll figure it out.
The way it was awesome the service was awesome the food was awesome
Quite honestly, this restaurant is an overpriced run-of-the-mill restaurant. Server was nice but obviously had not been trained to the level required to make this restaurant a 5 star establishment.
Food was outstanding, generous portions. We had a couple of service issues that Peter Kuluveris pro-actively resolved.
The renovation of the space has added a much brighter experience in the bar area and throughout the space. We had wonderful service and the food was magnificent.
Glad that they have reopened. Staff was very nice.
It was really perfect. I don’t think I have ever said that about any restaurant. Of course, it was the night before New Year’s Eve so it was very quiet which is what we wanted. I asked for a server who didn’t mind wearing a mask. Andrew was darling, wore his mask the entire time so that we wouldn’t be nervous about eating inside at a restaurant and he couldn’t have been sweeter or better. The bartender Robear, was also fabulous.
I ordered the veal with a side of brussels sprouts. The veal was divine, the brussels sprouts were good but a little on the oily side. Can’t wait to go back. We will definitely ask for Andrew again
.. table side Caesar for 2 [$30] - had horseradish mayo dressing - ugh! .. the first glass of wine I ordered was horrible [obviously from a bottle that was too old] - I asked for a replacement. ..the kind but hopped up fellow that poured our water was sweating profusely [the restaurant was NOT very busy] ... the complimentary brioche was excellent .. and the cocktails were well made and generous ...
We live in Buckhead and visited Davio's for the first time on Wednesday night. From the greeting at the door to when we left, was simply exceptional. Our waiter was amazing, and very attentative to all our needs. We met the GM Scott, and he thanked us for visiting his establishment. Trust you will not be disappointed so make a reservation soon!
Edward and Ava Cadres
I wasn't completely happy with my meal because I ordered something that I thought I could eat. Management went over and above to make sure I got something I could eat and made sure I was happy.
Our server, Andrew, was above and beyond amazing! I am SO happy Davio’s is back. The word has got to be out!!
Easy to make reservation. Provide more information to greeter or person answering phone on what "landmarks" to provide for faster parking. Overall, this was a great way to celebrate Christmas dinner! Merry Christmas to you all. Malachi was our server and he was good.
We have eaten at davios many times in the past and always had a good experience. Last night was HORRIBLE. Our meals were messed up- one person missed their side, one never received their salad, one never received their soft drink and another in our party never received their dinner. We made the manager aware and it was finally brought in a to go bag…we had waters refilled once and had to track down the server to ask for that. Asked three times for an iced tea refill and never received that. They did take the missing meal off the check after the manager was tracked down and made aware but this made the birthday party less than great. We were never offered dessert and had to scramble to pick up a cake on the way home. Just very poor experience. Do not recommend.
We arrived for a 12:30 pm reservation. After close to 15 min the hostess came over to tell us that there were only 2 servers working and that service would be slow. We waited another 10-15 min and never saw anyone/no one came to our table so we ended up leaving. I’ve never left a restaurant like that, but in this case felt like we were doing them a favor. They were totally incapable of handling guests. The manager, could have pitched in but I watched him mill around and not tend to waiting tables. We had a bad experience at this restaurant before but decided to give them another try. I really don’t understand how they stay in business.
Soooo glad that Davios is back! AWESOME experience as always.
This is one of our favorites restaurants and we were so happy when it reopened recently after a long hiatus. Unfortunately last night the kitchen wasn't up to par and the noise level was so loud it was hard to enjoy our meal. I'll wait until after the holidays and go back for another try...
Food was great service was slow and the restaurant was not busy?
We're breaking up with Davio's. As very loyal and regular diners pre 2020 closing, we are sadly recognizing that the old Davio's is gone and the new one is a poor replacement. In 3 visits within 2 weeks (11/25, 12/4 and 12/10) we were served Thanksgiving turkey without gravy, tasteless mashed potatoes, poached egg (singular) without Hollandaise, pasta with virtually no sauce, lukewarm coffee and Caesar salads which were limp and starting to brown at the edges. This is NOT the Davio's we fell in love with. We miss you, Old Davio's.
The food was pretty good once the steak temps were corrected.
Honestly not great for the price. We’ve eaten at all types of restaurants around Atlanta and I have to be honest and say this was one of the worse experiences. Service was painfully slow. And the steaks did not taste like quality meat. Apps and dessert were really the only good parts of the meal.
The Chilean Sea Bass was one of the best I have ever tasted. So. very. good.
My husband's filet was fine, but for the price, I would prefer to have ordered another plate of the Sea Bass. Excellent service. Our wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Will dine here again.
I order the braised short rib and they were out even though we got there when they first opened on Sunday. I got the smoked applewood chicken pasta and the bacon made it too salty. Butter cake was good. We were a party of 6 and the food was just okay
Give Davio's a chance. They were outstanding in the past, but now it seems they need a little time to catch up. We've been there twice in the past 2 weeks, and each time we found the food not up to previous standards. We'll try again, but we're hoping to see the old Davio's back.
Food was good but too a long time to come out
Restaurant is nice, however service is extremely slow, food came out and was not hot, and needed extra seasoning. Would not recommend.
Reservation handled timely. Food very good. Wine service exceptional. Very pleasant overall experience.
Davio's, recently reopened after a long hiatus, while getting its sea-legs, needs work. Our bartender was excellent though NO round ice-cubes for Scotch drinkers. Our server Richard was excellent though my calamari was tough as was my date's steak which was sold as a Filet but lacked the buttery texture we expected, having dined at Davio's often pre-shutdown. Just trying to be helpful with my comments. Realize reopening takes time to run smoothly. Would recommend with a caveat: postpone Scotch and avoid the 2 dishes mentioned above.
So happy that Davios is back!
Our first dinner since the reopening…..we have always had a great experience…. But this was definitely a disappointment. There were three of us dining…..two were delivered the wrong meal entirely…. Mine was removed also but tasted like it was microwaved when it arrived again….sticky pasta etc. The corrected meals were definitely not a traditional bolognese sauce. Loved the “old” Davio’s, but will definitely wait before trying again🙁
My waiter was very knowledgeable and taught me a few new Italian words while ordering my food! Who doesn’t love a lesson and meal lol… but honestly this was such a great experience.
Had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my son and his girlfriend.
We are so pleased to have Davio's available agsin It was better than ever, but we missed seeing our old servers and management We're making reservations for next week
We are so glad Davios is back! Food was great and all staff were super kind and professional. Timing was not perfect on our meal. Entrees came too quickly and it took too long to be checked on for dessert, but it was still a lovely meal and evening. The price for Thanksgiving was high. One full plate of turkey and the fixings was $75. But it was very good. They had a “left over” turkey sandwich for take home that was so clever! We bought one and had it today- delicious and made me feel like we had the best of both worlds- a delicious dinner out and yummy leftovers.
Let’s start with the Hostesses. Backs turned to us upon our arrival for at least 2 minutes. Then when we were greeted for our reservation, chaos began. Finally after 8 more minutes in an almost empty restaurant we were seated. It took 15 minutes to get my husband’s glass of bourbon and my glass of Pinot.
The music was a bit too loud and something you’d hear at a disco…. really???
While our server was nice, the food felt old and unmemorable. I kept thinking it was 1989. Very pricey and just not worth it. $34 for 6 Scallops on a naked plate, same with my husbands Sword fish, except for the garnish, which I might add was only there for decoration.
Lastly, the bill was $287.00 + tip for us three ( our college age son) was not the issue, we love to eat. But this was unfortunately was not worth it.
The service is outstanding and the food is just as outstanding. I especially like that they were able to cater meals to a vegan in our family. Our family will return.
