Days on Front Ratings and Reviews
Never disappointed! It was our daughters birthday and when we didn’t order desserts they still brought her out a piece of cake! It is our go to restaurant in town!
Excellent as usual. The squash soup was flavourful, the scallops perfectly cooked and our pea meal bacon sandwiches tasty. I love being able to walk to a great restaurant right in our neighbourhood.
Had been there before and enjoyed the whole evening. Guests are priority 1 ! Will be our go to place! Thanks Matt
2nd time there and very enjoyable again but the start was a little shaky. Our server became very busy, very quickly but managed to get everything moving after 5 or so minutes. I'm not sure if other reservations were late/early or if the host sat a bunch of walk-ins all at once in one section but nobody seemed to pick up the slack and our server was left alone to dig herself out - which she did. The menu has something for everyone, is thoughtful and the execution is good. A wine list all under $40 and some terrific craft brews on tap rounds things out. Three of us with wine, beer and 2 apps was just over $200 - good value for what you get. We all left stuffed and happy!
The dinner was Amazing, we had great food and service!
Food was fantastic. Great service!! New to the area and my coworker suggested your place. We love to cook, and really enjoyed our meal
Manage to get to Days on Front about once a year and we've never been disappointed. Not much to look at from outside, I can say that the focus is all on the food and service. Beautifully prepared, exceptionally tasty, outstanding service, good variety in starters, main and desserts (the latter maybe less so). The wine list is quite good and (based on restaurants these days) affordable. The latest dinner was three people, starters, a bottle of wine, main, dessert and espresso was just over $200. Not cheap but very, very good. Others places can do this as well but for some reason it all comes together brilliantly at Days on Front.
Menu is great food delishious . The draw back is the "curb appeal" Someone wondering in the strip mall may not have the first impression this is a great place to eat
Great experience. Ordered the special. It was so good, cooked perfectly.
Amazing service, amazing meals. The only down point was if you were sitting at a side booth the tables were a little to close to other people dining. Would go again but I’d ask for a table in the middle of dining room not attached to the communal booth.
Always a pleasure to visit Days on Front. The welcome is appreciated and the ambience is warm.
Noise is always a problem in restaurants these days, but on Friday evening it was at a minimum and we enjoyed a comfortable conversation. Older people especially value the lack of `background music`. A meal in a restaurant is just that, not anopportunity to listen to loud music of any genre.
Thank you for a very pleasant evening.
Best meal I have ever had in Kingston. So happy we tried it put. Great meal and great service. Worth the drive.
The food was delicious and presentation wonderful. We will definitely return. The website needs to be updated with current pricing.
Best restaurant in Kingston. Always a favourite for special occasions. Plus love their lunch menu!! ❤️❤️
Great local find! Enjoyable meal in a comfortable setting. Good service too!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner - the food was fabulous, the service attentive, yet not overwhelming and the atmosphere cozy.
Disappointed. Poutine with duck was just o.k. Would have like smaller home cut fries. Tasted friends steak where the flavour was horrible. However the chicken club was delicious.
Our favourite place to eat in Kingston! Great food, great service!
Delicious calamari and aioli, steak perfectly cooked and crispy frites!
My wife and I have recently moved to Kingston from a world renowned resort and this restaurant is up to that level - by far the best we've had since moving - thank you!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Delicious food, locally sourced and perfectly prepared. The service was very attentive and we felt unhurried and well taken care of. We've lived in Kingston for years but never ate here, we will definitely return.
cozy atmosphere, delicious food, friendly helpful staff, great service
Excellent Restaurant that provides great service. Very good menu with a nice cosy atmosphere.
We eat here on a regular basis. The food and staff are amazing. If you haven't eaten here I recommend you give them a try . You won't be disappointed! 😊
My brother from Ottawa had heard favourable reviews from Kingston friends so we decided to take mom for lunch on her very special 96th birthday! We had very good service, tasty food and when restaurant patrons sang happy birthday along with us mom was so happy 😁. Thanks for a lovely time.
Very disappointing experience. Food was a solid 6 our of 10. My martini was tiny (half a Martini). The presentation was amateurish--not at all foodie or fine dining. The service was also mediocre at best. Plus, it is located in a strip mall. The atmosphere is OK but this isn't fine dining by a long long shot. It is OK but not much more than OK. A solid 6 out of 10. I have no idea how it got to be one of Kingston's highest rated restaurants! Go there if you want to have a meal like the one you prepare at home on a Saturday night. Go there with low expectations.
Probably the best in Kingston. We always enjoy the food, atmosphere and service.
Exquisite evening all around!
This is a great place for adults. Menu is wonderful and wine list affordable.
The food never disappoints. Excellent variety and flavour. Service was prompt and attentive. Definitely one of our favorites places to eat!
Though the restaurant is in an odd location it was truly worth the trip. I would definitely return to the restaurant next time in Kingston.
Delicious lunch, great service, good value. One of my favourite restaurants in Kingston.
The service was great, right from the moment we walked through the door to our waitress. So very friendly and just the right amount of attentiveness.
The food was absolutely delicious, both dinner and dessert were amazing!
It was my friends first time eating there and she loved. We will be back again.
Thank you Bibi
We had a fabulous lunch with family who travelled from Toronto. We all commented so positively about the modern decor, that art, the quiet music that allowed us to hear each other, the variety of food on the menu and the attentive, yet unobtrusive, service. It will become a family favourite.
We've been keen on DoF ever since it opened, and its consistency is one of its strengths. We're a seniors couple, and especially like it for lunch - very good value with a varied menu and local beer selection. The service has also been consistently good, including with new servers, which suggests there's some good training done to maintain the restaurant's style and standards. We'll be back! Thanks
This is what I expect in a "Class" restaurant. Everything was great; food, service, and wine. I had some diet restrictions and they were very accommodating. All in all a wonderful experience.
We had reservations for 8 - table was ready when we got there. Server was excellent, and very patient with a picky eater who had lots of questions. Appetizers came quickly and were excellent - the crab cakes were a definite favourite. Entrees were well timed and not only were they delicious but beautifully presented. The portions were generous and managed to fill up a of couple teenage boys. Nothing but thumbs up for all meals: shirt ribs, cauliflower risotto, pasta, pork tenderloin, salmon, steak and frites and the special. We will be back again.
We went for my husband's birthday dinner and the food was fabulous. The restaurant is outside of the downtown area in a small strip mall. I would never have picked the restaurant if i had been driving by. This is definitely a hidden gem!
Excellent meal and service would recommend as fine dining. Looking forward to going back!
