We go to this lovely local restaurant every few months... And are never disappointed. This visit went with family from out of town. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals :scallops, crab cakes, chicken, beet salad, calamari. Staff made our orders work. 2 of us had 2 appetizers in sequence while the other 2 had meals.

I was somewhat skeptical about the the actual reservation, and resisted all day calling to confirm. From this perspective, I can only be totally delighted. Thank you.

The customer service was outstanding. Sadly, the steak portion of our "Steak and Frites", while beautifully cooked, was indifferent. The accompanying mushrooms were superlative. The frites were excellent but a bit over-salted. The ceasar salad was very, very, very good. Creme brule topped with a berry fascinator was lovely indeed. Our server was absolutely wonderful. Overall a great experience.

Our visit was for our work Christmas lunch. There were 9 of us, and our table was set up in a great location where we weren't a nuisance to other diners. We were there for about 3 hours and I have to tell you, the service from the staff was fantastic! We never felt like we were overstaying our welcome.
Our meals were delicious (as always!), the drinks were tasty, and overall we just had a really great time!

Because of time constraints (we live on Amherst Island and are hence subject to the dictates of an hourly ferry schedule), we only had 30 minutes for "fast food" before the concert at the Isabel Bader centre. We were warmly greeted, and told the kitchen staff would make sure everything would be done in a timely manner, and it was done! The dinner, the wine, the waiter, the charming ambiance and the happy and contented other diners all contributed to make this a fantastic evening. Three stars to DF!

Never disappointed! It was our daughters birthday and when we didn’t order desserts they still brought her out a piece of cake! It is our go to restaurant in town!

Excellent as usual. The squash soup was flavourful, the scallops perfectly cooked and our pea meal bacon sandwiches tasty. I love being able to walk to a great restaurant right in our neighbourhood.

5 diners, all were satisfied, good food and generous portions! There was only one questionable value issue and that was the scallop appetizer, it was a bit skimpy (3 scallops) for $14 but the generous bread basket allowed me to make the most of the leek/brown butter puree that was included. Very good. One person noted the great service, not over the top hovering! We had a nice meal in peace. We've been there before and we will be back.

2nd time there and very enjoyable again but the start was a little shaky. Our server became very busy, very quickly but managed to get everything moving after 5 or so minutes. I'm not sure if other reservations were late/early or if the host sat a bunch of walk-ins all at once in one section but nobody seemed to pick up the slack and our server was left alone to dig herself out - which she did. The menu has something for everyone, is thoughtful and the execution is good. A wine list all under $40 and some terrific craft brews on tap rounds things out. Three of us with wine, beer and 2 apps was just over $200 - good value for what you get. We all left stuffed and happy!

Manage to get to Days on Front about once a year and we've never been disappointed. Not much to look at from outside, I can say that the focus is all on the food and service. Beautifully prepared, exceptionally tasty, outstanding service, good variety in starters, main and desserts (the latter maybe less so). The wine list is quite good and (based on restaurants these days) affordable. The latest dinner was three people, starters, a bottle of wine, main, dessert and espresso was just over $200. Not cheap but very, very good. Others places can do this as well but for some reason it all comes together brilliantly at Days on Front.

Menu is great food delishious . The draw back is the "curb appeal" Someone wondering in the strip mall may not have the first impression this is a great place to eat

Amazing service, amazing meals. The only down point was if you were sitting at a side booth the tables were a little to close to other people dining. Would go again but I’d ask for a table in the middle of dining room not attached to the communal booth.

Always a pleasure to visit Days on Front. The welcome is appreciated and the ambience is warm.
Noise is always a problem in restaurants these days, but on Friday evening it was at a minimum and we enjoyed a comfortable conversation. Older people especially value the lack of `background music`. A meal in a restaurant is just that, not anopportunity to listen to loud music of any genre.
Thank you for a very pleasant evening.

Disappointed. Poutine with duck was just o.k. Would have like smaller home cut fries. Tasted friends steak where the flavour was horrible. However the chicken club was delicious.

Very disappointing experience. Food was a solid 6 our of 10. My martini was tiny (half a Martini). The presentation was amateurish--not at all foodie or fine dining. The service was also mediocre at best. Plus, it is located in a strip mall. The atmosphere is OK but this isn't fine dining by a long long shot. It is OK but not much more than OK. A solid 6 out of 10. I have no idea how it got to be one of Kingston's highest rated restaurants! Go there if you want to have a meal like the one you prepare at home on a Saturday night. Go there with low expectations.
