It was busy but after being shown to our table and given some water we had to to go and find someone after 25 minutes to order drinks and food. Tables who can in after us had there orders taken before us. Food was really nice. Then when we got given the bill had to go and find someone to pay after waiting 5-10 minutes for server to come back so we could pay. Am aware that many food outlets do not have enough staff and no complaints about staff. Just wondered how long it would have taken them to come to the table to take the order if we had not asked someone ?

Have been wanting to try the Deckhouse so when my daughter said she was popping down for the day I booked a table. Great food & service only little neg was they forgot my meal but rushed it through & gave me a complimentary drink while I waited. Would definitely recommend & will be visiting again.

Love it here, the djs are excellent and it creates a great atmosphere. Our go to on a Friday night for a few drinks. Fish pie was lovely too!

The food was generally good, apart from one wrong order, for which we were not charged. Service friendly and good. Noise level appalling - there is no need at all for loud beat music dominating the dining room. We will not return.

Deckhouse is very aesthetically orientated. Small brunch menu, we were seated far away from everyone else so very little atmosphere. Service was okay. Coffee tasted burnt and of poor quality, but food tasted good, nice garnish.

Absolutely shocking food, all overcooked, Rib eye steak was more like sandwich steak, medium cooked was asked for & got well done, squid was frazzled, won’t be going back

Very attentive staff for my daughter's 18th birthday breakfast. We were made to feel very special and it set our day up beautifully. The manager was particularly attentive. Thank you!!

Sadly the meal was disappointing. My food was cold after quite a long wait. The restaurant wasn’t massively busy but the service was poor. We waited a long time for a very average meal. The people next to us waited longer and had several parts of their meal missing and had to keep asking for it.

The food was average at best, that’s being generous. My friend had poached eggs which were awful and had to be sent back, I had the shashushka and it was the smallest meal ever and very over cooked. The staff were abrupt and actually took my friends food away while she was still eating. Would not really recommend and won’t be back.

Terrible service - took 30 minutes to take our food order and that only happened because I called a waiter across. Food arrived quickly but no one checked if the food was ok, asked if we wanted anything else or offered to bring the bill. Restaurant was not busy but I think the staff are just disorganised. Food was ok but some of the bread in my club sandwich was burnt. A bit annoying that they also add on a service charge. Such a shame because the venue is lovely

Service was appallingly slow - waited thirty minutes for a brunch order table next to us came and sat down ten minutes before our food arrived and there simple brunch order for four came about two minutes after ours. Very disappointing

Great atmosphere, stylish decor and excellent service. Food was delicious however I feel the portion sizes could be more generous for the price. Felt this after having brunch here recently and the same after having lunch here yesterday.

Very polite and friendly customer service. Unfortunately, we were sat on the small table to one side with a walk way. Some of the food was nice but the chicken in the salad was as dry as cardboard. My burger was mediocre at best. Cheese and bacon, the amount of cheese was so small I couldn’t taste it. Feedback of the food was given to the waiter who acknowledged but offered no explanation

Only had 3 steaks left, two members of our party had to order something different as the kitchen ran out. The 3 members of the party that did order steak were disappointed- steaks were all very tough and chewy. No steak knives provided! Cocktails not made very well, didn’t taste as they should have.

A bit lacklustre... the gin and tonic was good but I thought the fish and chips for £15 was not good value. The fish was small and not many chips on the plate. Wouldn't rush back...

Went for brunch with my family yesterday morning. Greeted at the door and seated in a lovely manner. We were given menus but no beverage menu. Asked for a drinks menu and was given a menu with alcoholic beverages so had to then ask for a coffee menu. This took around 15 minutes-surely a hot drink menu should be given with food menu. Ordered food ok and I asked for hard eggs. Also asked for water for table. Had to ask for the water twice as it never arrived. Food arrived a d my eggs were runny and asked for it to be sent back. Waiter looked at me like he didn't know what to do and I showed him the yolk running out my eggs. I was then told that I was unable to have that choice as I took the last one? Ordered the avo toast instead. My husband ordered the gluten free full English and it arrived with no sausages as per the normal full English that my 2 kids had. Also had to ask for butter and then tomato sauce. My food arrived when everyone was finished so had to eat alone which wasn't great. The whole experience felt alittle disappointing as I kept having to ask for the basics. The restaurant wasn't overly busy so I don't really understand why the service was poor.

We popped in for brunch on Friday and enjoyed it so much we booked for dinner the next evening. Lovely food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and great decor/ambience.

We really enjoyed our meal - food was excellent; and the ambience was also superb; there was quite a long wait to order drinks on arrival but following orders for courses were ok; some inappropriate humour at the table-side from a waiter, though intentions were probably well-meant

Had couple of options from the brunch menu (Full English/Scrambed egg). Food was ok, service was friendly, coffee was excellent! Would be nice to be offered options eg how do you want your eggs or some idea of what the full English comprised of (I am not a fan of beans). Overall reasonable value for money. Nothing bad or outstanding.

We go to this venue regularly, sometimes for lunch and sometimes just for coffee and cake. This time we booked to enjoy an afternoon birthday celebration with family including our 3 year old granddaughter. We all had a lovely time and felt well taken care of by the staff. The staff were lovely and my granddaughter loved all the attention she was getting! We had a bottle of fizzy, desserts, cakes and fries (for our granddaughter). Everything arrived promptly and we didn't feel hurried either. All in all, a lovely afternoon! Many thanks, Deckhouse!

Booked a table for lunch. It was busy so service was slow as you would expect. I was expecting a really top class meal but quite disappointed In presentation and quality. I had battered fish. It was pretty soggy inside and not much taste. Quantity was adequate. Another in our party had sourdough and hummus starter which I thought was grossly overpriced for small portion. The main meal of fish pie was apparently really nice. The burger and fries was not very different to any other fast food venue and expensive. Thin fries that were heavily salted were not appealing. Overall pretty disappointing and could not really recommend it unfortunately.

The food is fantastic and makes up for the bad service. I do get it was busy however staff talking about customers who where rude to them over serving customers who where there. 20mins to have a drink order taken isn’t really on especially serving a table that has arrived after us first.
