   We have eaten here before and once again was not disappointed by the food or the staff. Our server Rachael was amazing and very attentive. Would highly recommend dining here. We will definitely be back during our next Orlando visit.

   Wife and I have been going since they reopened after COVID and have always enjoyed their amazing unique drinks, entres and even the herb butter with their delicious fresh bread. But over the last 2-3 visits have noticed a significant rise in prices and very noticeable reduction in menu items and drinks. For example, they used to heavily promote their award winning crab cakes, which was 2 cakes with mashed potatoes I think for about $20. Now its an appetizer(not entre), single cake, $30, no mash. Blu is now at the price point of a very upscale establishent, but the menu, food quality and service isn't doesnt support this ambition. Ribeye last night was ok, but thin and not able to compete with a similar offering and price at STK or Prime, etc. Which does make sense as they are a seafood restaurant, but they are now commanding the steakhouse prices, they need to be able to deliver on expectations. Wifes $60 grouper was tasty, but wasn't as good as the previous offering they had before. Even the herb butter, which was amazing before( I know that sounds crazy, but seriusly true) has changed, and unfortunately not for the better. At this point it looks like blu wants to just easily harvest high dollar revenue from their tourist guests,(captive audience), and not provide a destination experience and compete with several others in the area. If you are a local, or have means to explore other restaurants in Orlando, I would suggest checking out other the other options in this category.

    We were seated promptly. Rebecca and staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious. The half chicken was cooked to perfection as well as the asparagus and carrots . The cinnamon bun dessert is shareable and a great finish. Will return!!!

    Lovely restaurant with very good service. The crab cakes are GREAT. For an upscale restaurant it was not stuffy, many diners were dressed up and many were in t-shirts and baseball caps. Not at all pretentious, which was nice.

    I mostly went for sushi and they weren’t serving it in the dining room that night. Everything we had was good-very good (mussels app, rib-eye special and grouper entree, cocktails). But it wasn’t anything special. It’s a good hotel restaurant though.

    this was a very disappointing experience. when we arrived at the restaurant we waited at the entrance for about 5 minutes for a host to greet us and take us to our table. there was no one in sight. we were eventually seated and provided menus. we were surprised to see so few seafood or fish choices on the menu, which seemed to be dominated by meat choices. our waiter interrupted our table conversation to take our order, ignoring our request to give us a couple of minutes. everyone in our group chose a fish entree. while waiting for our meals we noticed a table receiving a sushi platter. we called over our waiter and asked how we could get sushi. he replied it was available but only on a special request and we should have requested a sushi menu. we were not provided one when we were seated. when we asked how we could have known that such a menu existed he said “well the restaurant calls it self a seafood grill and sushi restaurant”. ???? our entrees arrived and were not particularly well prepared and verged on being over cooked. the “house specialty” grouper, which two of us ordered, was heavily sauced with some gelatinous white substance that fortunately masked the too cooked fish. at about $60 a plate this was really unacceptable by any measure. the waiter poured out our white wine bottle and left the table with our wine chiller and never enquired whether we might want more wine. in hindsight that was probably appropriate because another drink would have delayed our departure. before leaving we asked our host why we had not been provided a sushi menu when we were seated. she too said that the menu is only available on special request. when we asked how we should have known that there was such a menu she said that she did not know. we suggested that this was a crazy way to serve their customers. she readily agreed. so this seems to be a restaurant policy. i think the best approach for customers is to not only skip the sushi menu but also skip the coming

    We arrived right at our reservation time and the group ahead of us wanted to add 4 more people to their reservation. This appeared to cause a lot of chaos with the staff. It took 3 staff members to figure this out, and those same employees went to fully set up the new larger table. We were left standing there waiting for over 15 min. Finally when they asked our name, we were told we would need to wait a minute for our table. That wait was 10 more minutes. When we got seated we had no one come fill our water glasses or welcome us in anyway for another 10 min. Finally a bus person noticed that we didn’t have water and asked if a waiter had been over yet. When he was told no- he went and got the waiter. After that everything was wonderful. The drinks were delicious and served with good visual appeal. Our group had mussels, salad, grouper, salmon, and 2 desserts- the pear cobbler and the cannoli dessert. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Portions were sufficient without being too large. Our waiter Ivan was attentive and knowledgeable.

    Food and service both outstanding. Appreciated the spot-on recommendations from our server. Lovely interior as well. The only distraction was a toddler at an adjacent table who shrieked and banged loudly on the table with a spoon throughout their family meal. It did not ruin an otherwise enjoyable experience, but did impact the ambiance.
