Holiday with my kids
Love love love this restaurant. Another wonderful evening in this fantastic old building so full of character. Unfortunately both our steaks were tough but flavour was good.
Excellent food and service. My wife has dairy/ gluten allergies ... the server said pick anything on the menu and we will make it work. What a nice surprise!
They did a great chorizo gluten free pasta dish for her. I had the salmon, also excellent. The beer selection is limited, but the server make a really good recommendation, it worked! Highly recommend, a 4 minute walk from the Chateau ...
Excellent!!! Love it.
Good food and nice service! Perfect for a Trip to the Lake.
Everything was amazing!
The cocktails, food and service were exceptional.
The location and interior was beautiful.
Better food than expected, since it’s a touristy location. Better vegetable preparation than many other fine dining places on this trip. Staff great. Place very pleasant, not overcrowded with people or tchotchkes. Enjoyed the meal a lot!
Attentive and friendly service, excellent food and good value for the area. Veggie tray was creative, different, delicious and recommended - particularly the mustard melon. To die for.
Excellent service & the food was so good! We both had the ribeye steak and they were perfectly cooked!
Excellent friendly service. Outstanding food and creative mojiti beverage. Absolutely enjoyable dining experience the amazing hostess made us feel welcomed and secure with vaccine id checkin . It is a short walk from the Chateau to and from the restaurant.
A hidden gem! The food and service was fantastic! Will be recommending this place to others and come back when I go to Lake Louise!
It was great!
We are staying up the road at the Chateau Lake Louise and wanted to try something different. Excellent food!
Absolutely incredible food and service. We’re staying at the Fairmount Lake Louise Hotel for our honeymoon and were suggested to dine here, and it did not disappoint. Yes the restaurant is a bit dated, but the food, service and ambiance is 5+. If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to enjoy this gem.
Food was fast and delicious. Found it Quite expensive for what you get…not sure why drinks are $13
Great food! We took the tuna as appetizer and it was fabulous. The steak and the salmon as well
Great relaxed log cabin setting. Servers were all outstanding and the food was way better than what was offered at the Chateau Lake Louise. We ate here 3 times and would still go back. Fabulous restaurant and staff. The hamburger was one of the best I've ever had and the chacuterie board was very good as well.
So lovely ! Perfect service! Délicious! Very Nice employees
Good food, friendly staff.
Parking at back very convenient
The beef ribeye was very good. We probably could have shared it because it was a generous portion. The lava cake was also yummy.
A restaurant in need of a makeover - it is dull and disjointed interior. The food was mixed, we had to send the protein back to be cooked to the temperature requested. The service was engaging and appreciated.
Food was so great just right amount of sauces for the Pasta and the rib eye steak was just.. gorgeous!!!! I stole more than half of it from my hubby lol
If u have kids, try cheese pizza it is better than any usual places that restaurant sell under adult menu. My gourmet loving kiddo enjoyed it so much!
Great place to eat in Lake Louise. Max the bartender is a real gem! Lots of variety on the menu
The food was a disappointment.
Nice choice in Lake Louise! Can park there free (register car at desk) - nice patio - good food - good martinis - 4 min walk to the lake! Nice service and burger $24 but worth it for a quiet dinner out! The lodge we were staying at had had a fire so no dining.
Very good experience. The food was very good.
The service with Samuel was excellent! Food was great! Restaurant was great but the lodge itself and patio need improvement as in dire need of repair!
A wonderful place to dine. The food was well prepared and delicious. Our table enjoyed salmon and rib eye mains and topped it off with a shared lava cake. So tasty. A nice relaxed pace of dining. Excellent value for a special meal. Thanks.
Service was wonderful. The food was not very good.
Food was well below expectations. Casey salad was drowning in dressing - uneatable. Chorizo ragu linguini had the spice but was way too much sauce and meal came out cool with some noodles dry (obviously sitting too long). Wine selection was abysmal.
Anniversary dinner - Amazing experience! Stunning mountain views, great staff and delicious food - thank you for an evening to remember!
My wife and I were in town from Toronto for our last night, celebrating our anniversary. We were so well taken care of, wonderful and attentive service, sweet gesture (complimentary Prosecco), and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to come back to Lake Louise, and we can’t wait to come back to Deer Lodge for dinner!
The food was fantastic, our server was very friendly and personable, even going out of his way to inquire about fishing recommendations from the staff for my father. We all enjoyed the food immensely and it was very relaxing to dine there!
My wife and I went to Deer Lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We requested a special table and staff was more than happy to help. The food was great and our server was outstanding. The menu was a little reduced in selection which we can understand given the current environment. This is our favourite dining establishment in Lake Louise!
My family had a runaway for the weekend, from Calgary out to Lake Louise. We had dinner on the patio of The Deer Lodge and all facets aligned for a truly memorable evening. Ignore the roaring creek across the road that made for lovely background music to the evening or that it had been almost 30 degrees, a week past solstice, and with plenty of evening light that had Mount Fairview shining over us. It was a stunning night...
But I digress... My husband and I had beautiful rib eye steaks and veggies, the cocktails and beer were perfect and our server was attentive, kind to our young children, and friendly. The Deer Lodge for the win... any time!
We ate there during COVID. The hotel and staff did an excellent job of keeping patrons safe. The food was very good and the service excellent. Would highly recommend eating at the restaurant.
Our server Lewis was very good. We had the salmon entree which was very good.
The food was not good. We ordered steak which was tough and had large portions of inedible fat/gristle. When our meals arrived they were not hot. Overall a disappointing meal considering the high price tag.
Our waiter, however, was pleasant and did his best.
Made a reservation. Came in from the rain. Due to COVID-19, we were seated not in the dining room but in the hallway at a rickety table against a window and the entrance door. After being seated, 45 minutes to have someone take our drink order. Another 30 minutes to get a cup of tea and a glass of water. Charcuterie platter used to come on a cutting board with a good selection of meats, cheeses, jams, etc. This visit, it was served on a side plate. Only one type of cheese (charged extra) and a pathetic selection of meat. About $2 max worth of food for over $20. Alberta beef is now considered wild game according to the waiter. Menu has changed for the worse. Service is probably the worst I've ever experienced in my extensive domestic and international dining experience. I was told by the waiter (after being there over 3 1/2 hrs) that they were short staffed due to COVID-19 as most of the staff had to return to Australia. With the current unemployment rate in this province, I find it extremely insulting that we can't hire Albertians for these positions. This place used to be my favorite restaurant in Canada. Many of the staff were from Ontario. This has really changed for the worse. Menu is awful, service is nonexistent and there is absolutely no value for the dollar. With the current state of the restaurant industry, expectations should meet or exceed pre pandemic conditions. You will have a better meal staying at home and cooking for yourself. It'll be better quality, tastier, quicker and considerably less expensive.
Demand more for your dollar. You are paying for it.
