No service. It's wasn't even open . We book for October 14th 7pm . They sent me an email 📧 saying we should arrive 15 minutes early to see a close sign on the door . Very disappointed 😞.

The dining room has a nice feel. The food was very average and the server was very friendly to start, it took an extremely long time to get our main course, then the server disappeared until it was time to pay.

The table for two by the indoor lodge entrance despite having a window did not make for a cozy dinner for two. Ask for a window in the main dining space. Food was fine chicken was hot and tasty, risotto was bit cool.

Der Service war zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente wirkt aufgrund der Einrichtung trotz Blockhausstiel nüchtern und nicht sehr gemütlich. Zum Essen darf man keinen grossen Hunger mitnehmen, Die Portionen sind unglaublich klein. Mein Lachsfilet war gerade mal ca. 4 cm breit und die Beilage wenig existent. Insgesamt war der Besuch eher enttäuschend.

We loved our dinner at Deer Lodge - Mt. Fairview Dining Room. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. The wild boar orecchiette pasta was excellent as were the two salads we ordered. We were in Lake Louise for hiking and by chance our server was also a hiking guide so she was a wonderful resource to us. Highly recommend the Deer Lodge restaurant for food quality and ambiance!

Our service was indifferent. My fish was overcooked and must have been sitting under warming lights for a very long time. The plate was too hot to touch and our waiter didn't come back until about 20 minutes after food was delivered. The salad was good and the dessert was very good. The view was incredible. Overall, this experience was disappointing.

Lovely dinner at Deer Lodge in Lake Louise. Beginning with the tasty maple old fashioned, our group enjoyed the marvelous Caesar salad, delicious Berkshire pork chop, heirloom tomato salad and wild boar orecchiette pasta. ALL WERE DELICIOUS!

Great overall, Lisa, our server was very lovely. The only thing is that our main course came really late, more than half an hour after finishing our starter…. We went at 7:51 and ended at around 10:30 for three courses. I suspect the kitchen is somewhat disorganized. Take that in mind, and try their really amazing dishes (highly recommend scallops, pork chop and salmon) when you have plenty time!

Made a last minute reservation and it was great! The service was good, although we had to wait a bit for our cocktails to arrive. The server was very nice and attentive to our needs. The food was very good. Would recommend this as a good place to eat while in Lake Louise.

My 2 boys and I had reservations for 615, we got there on time to only have 2 staff members walk right past us while standing at the host stand without acknowledging us. 15 minutes later, we were seated and it took another 20 minutes to deliver menus and water and, they weren’t even busy. We got up and left and immediately went to Sterling in Canmore where we always have incredible service and delicious food. Their atmosphere also hand down slays the Deer Lodge. Don’t waste your time or money eating at Deer Lodge.

They sent us away, despite the reservation, for 10 min. power out in all village of Lake Louise. All the other kitchens in town were running, (we tried one of them). What have been more disappointing is that they didn’t give us any alternative option, neither no flexibility in managing the situation, given the fact that the power was out for only 10 minutes!

Food took 75 minutes to come out. 3 of 4 dishes were not hot. Salmon was raw. Took an additional 20 minutes to cook properly. We were there for two hours and missed the sunset. Servers and cooks were just too busy.

We had a tough time at this restaurant. The dining room was 2/3 full and there was 3-4 waitstaff but for some reason our waiter was overwhelmed. It took 30 minutes to order a drink and that was only after I had to get up and approach the maitre'd. After we ordered it took another 30 minutes to receive so a full hour to get a glass of wine. Similarly, we had a hard time getting anyone to take our food order. After about 45 minutes we managed to get someone to take the order, only to be told the kitchen was backed up and they weren't allowed to put our order in for another 15 minutes. We saw our food after 2 hours of sitting there. We had booked the table over a month in advance so it wasn't like they hadn't expected us. The food was fine but we were so tired of waiting we didnt bother getting dessert. Painful.

We made a reservation using open table. There were plenty of time slots, ours was 6:15. We arrived at 6:10, the restaurant was only partially filled, the bar was empty. For some reason we were seated in the bar. Perhaps only guests get to sit in the dining area?? Anyway after being seated no one bothered to see if we cared a for a drink or food. We left to find dinner elsewhere.

Had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. My husband had the wild Boar pasta and also loved it. Service was great and she was very attentive. Love the Deer Lodge. I would recommend.

Not many options for dining in Lake Louise and fewer that take reservations. While Deer Lodge does take reservations I would not recommend. Was promising with a charming dining room and view. Unfortunately the food and service were subpar and overall very expensive. Food just wasn’t very good (salty sauces, undercooked -raw- side dish). Very inattentive waiter.

The food is mediocre. The Caesar salad had soft croutons. The pork chop was OK, but the yam side was hard and not edible. The service was slow 25 minutes between the time I finished the salad until the main dish was served, 5 minutes waiting for water refill
