   This was a special occasion, and it was a mediocre experience at best. Slow service for food, and when it finally arrived…small portions. 7 people in our party and everyone complained that the food wasn’t anything special. Big disappointment at a very high price tag. Don’t bother with this one, there are way better options for a nice meal.

   Love the vibe. Great service. Lackluster food Entrees were decent( fried fish sandwich and scallops) but as people who base their evaluations on the salad/veg, we were disappointed. The chopped salad and beet salad were SO overdressed we couldn’t eat them….and WE DONT EVER TURN DOWN SALAD. The Brussels were undercooked and lacking seasoning. Edamame dumplings/dashi were flavorless...don’t even bother. I have NO reason to go back, which, trust me, says a lot, because all I want is a reason to go OUT! Oh, and if you have a hankering for styrofoam studded with bacon, order the potato bread.

   The skate and salmon were very good. The brussels sprouts were flavorful but tough and the scallops were slightly underdone and not very flavorful. Drinks were very good and service was excellent. Atmosphere was great, music was very nice but slightly loud.

   Met some old co-workers for dinner at Del Mar. Food was great and service was amazing as always. Pastel and Jill took great care of us and made sure we loved everything we tried! Will def be back.

   Our server was great, the food was wonderful, the location was nice. Parking was a gamble, but we found a spot close by. All in all, I would go again in a heartbeat.

    Tough visit from a service standpoint. Food was delicious. Waiting quite awhile. Server never came to check on the food after the food was delivered and we like to utensils for the food. No drink refills offered at any time. Since he never came back to check on how the food was, etc. we were unable to request the utensils. Subpar by CM standards.

    Location is good and ambience is nice. The food is just OK. This is probably the least spectacular of the Cameron Mitchell restaurants—doesn’t seem like they live up to their theme of California style. I have several friends who feel the same.

    Wonderful food and decor.....BUT the noise level was horrible and we were told that the staff could not reduce the level...Maybe, Del Mar SoCal Kitchen is intended for some younger people who love noise and do not expect to have a conversation..But this is not the place if you want to enjoy the meal AND your company...we gave up on trying to have a conversation and left right after our main meal...did not stay for desserts.     This was our first time at DelMar after making a reservation on Open Table. What a nice surprise all the way around. The atmosphere, the friendly staff, delicous brunch, and very competitive pricing will make for a return to this restaurant for sure. Our waiter Jake was more than friendly and attentive to make it a nice meal with my son and friends while we were in town for a visit.

    We got to the restaurant 20 minutes early. They had our table ready, but it was in a corner out of the "experience". We had 2 young ladies joining us, and we wanted it to be fun. So they told us we might not be able to sit at our exact time - but we said that was ok. The next table was perfect and we had a wonderful meal, delicious cocktails and wine. We had to pass on the dessert as we were so full! Highly recommend Del Mar!

    My daughter has severe food allergies and the team here was amazing to work with. I called the day before to discuss allergens and they were all on board when we arrived at the restaurant. The food and service was wonderful. Thanks for making us all feel safe and happy!

    Always a great place. Great atmosphere and great food with excellent service. My fave is the crispy skate. Get there before happy hour ends at 5pm to get an excellent craft cocktail

    My wife and I were sat promptly on arrival and waited on quickly. didn't expect 1/2 price drinks and appetizers but was a pleasant surprise. Our service from the waiter was excellent. problem was it took 15 minutes to get our first round of drinks... The promise of good food was why we made the reservation here and we weren't disappointed. Baja Taco's, Ceviche, Salmon and Sushi Rolls were delicious! The second round of drinks came within 5 minutes so it was a "bartender is slammed" moment. Will definitely be back!

    Our dinner at Del Mar SoCal Kitchen was by far the best meal out we've had in months. The food was the freshest and most delicious we can remember, but there was much more to it. The staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable about all menus and checked in with us just enough. We had drinks, appetizers and a main course - all arrived in a very timely manner. We never felt rushed or like we were left waiting for anything. We are looking forward to our next visit and will definitely share the positive experience with friends and family.

    The food was excellent, and so was the service provided by Jake. The restaurant is noisy but not so much that it's difficult to converse. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.
