It was very quiet the night we went but the food was amazing and a very substantial portion. I could not finish it all The jumbo prawns to start were fantastic. This will be our go to place when staying downtown
Food was great! Got the lamb and was very tender and flavorful. Mussels for appetizer were fantastic too. Probably my favorite thing
The Service and Food are excellent. Definitely a place I will return.
Great food. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back :)
Best Italian in town, the ambience and value is excellent.
Great food and service. Hidden Gem off the Jasper Ave.
It was very good
The food was amazing! For Valentine’s Day it was packed due to overbooking so some had to wait in line even with a reservation. The serving staff were doing their best to keep up but they were overrun. We could have ordered more drinks and appetizers but were worried it would take too long with how busy and stressed out the staff seemed. Overall the food will bring us back!
Extremely disappointing! I really wanted this to be a good experience. I looked at so many reviews for this place and every single one raved about it. I was excited to try it out! From the moment we arrived we felt completely ignored. We stood in the foyer for 5 min before we were even acknowledged to say we had arrived for our reservation. Quickly seated to our table but then waited 30 minutes before finally getting up to go to the bar to ask one of the servers if someone was going to come take our order. No apology, nothing. Drinks and food came within a reasonable amount of time. No problems there. Mussels were tasty but everything else was disappointing. We had the gnocchi and linguine pescatore. Portion size was great. The sauce was so bland. Not at all what we were expecting from the rave reviews. Ate a few bites because we were hungry but decided just couldn’t anymore. After food was placed on the table, nobody came around after asking how it was or to refill drinks etc. I had to wave the waitress down (after what I assumed was the manager, blatantly saw me wave at him and turned and walked away) to get our bill. Another 10 min went by before we asked again for our bill. Once we got the bill we thought maybe they might take a discount off or comp a drink for the long wait time initially but nope, everything was full price. Just a completely disappointing experience overall. Wanted to support a local restaurant after covid reopening but upset that we did- felt wasted on this one. I honestly felt we would have better service at McDonalds. Not at all what we would expect at a nice sit down Italian restaurant.
We went to Del Posto for Valentine’s Day with our daughter. Unfortunately, it seemed like they were not prepared for the volume of customers that they had. It took 10+ minutes to be greeted by our server who was clearly overwhelmed and then our food took over an hour. Our server nor the manager ever came to check on us, the food or whether we needed beverage refills.
The food itself was really good and the portions are huge. The food and atmosphere are great for a family. Our daughter loved the food and we felt as if they are happy to serve families.
As someone who worked for 15+ years in the restaurant industry, I understand what it’s like to work understaffed on a busy night; however, the long food times with no acknowledgement or apology from any staff member makes it unlikely that I will return or recommend the place.
It’s rare that we have such terrible service when dining out. The waitress was abrupt when taking our orders and didn’t bother to check on us or refill our drinks. The food took quite a while- we received our main dishes after almost 75 minutes after being seated and weren’t offered coffee or dessert. The second we were done eating they essentially threw a debit machine at us with our bill. We won’t be returning and do not recommend this establishment.
Tried off hand on a recommendation of open table and we were not disappointed. Other than a mediocre server (may not have been her fault, it was the last seating of the night and one of the first nights back after a Covid restrictions lifted) she just wasn’t very knowledgeable about the wine list (which was not large to begin with), and made a mistake with our order. That being said the mistake was a happy ending-what we got was delicious. Portions were huge. The tomato sauce on the pasta dishes was so so good. The ambience was lovely and the value was amazing. We will be going back for sure!!!
Food was great, we didn't order pasta, but the Salmon we order has some fettuccine with it. Also ordered Manzo which was really good.
The fettuccine were a bit over cooked and not "al dente" as I'd wish, so not sure if we would come back for the to order pasta.
The menu was mostly pizza and pasta with only three items outside that. In addition the main menu had very small letters that were a bit challenging.
I understand it's a new restaurant so hopefully can improve in some areas
Really nice portion sizes, nice ambiance and great service. Only complaint overall about the food was that it could use more flavour (garlic, salt, pepper, herbs)
Poor in all facets except value
I wanted it to be good, but it just wasn’t. I ordered a steak with gravy and the meat tasted like lighter fluid. My son ordered the three cheese pizza and the bleu cheese was so strong he couldn’t eat it and we had to trade plates. I like bleu cheese and I had a hard time eating it. My husband ordered the seafood pasta and he said his was good. I know restaurants have been through a lot lately and I hate giving a bad review, but they definitely have some things to work on. The man who served us our meal was very nice, though.
Great place! Love the food.
Fantastic food and ambiance. Service was exceptional, and portions were substantial.
Great restaurant. Food was great. The only downside is that they closed at 9pm on a Sat, which we didn't expect when making our 8pm reservation so we felt a bit rushed. No fault of the staff though, she never pushed us out and even offered us coffee and tea despite it would have kept us past closing. Just our Canadian politeness making us feel bad for being past closing.
Great service and amazing meal I had the 3 course downtown dining week special with the Linguini Pescadore as the feature. Definitely will be back
Excellent Service, our waitress was very pleasant, funny and took very good care of us. We will be coming back in the future for sure! Also great prices and value
Took the family out for Downtown Dining week in the YEG. Totally worth it for 3 courses. Definitely enjoyed by our two kids, couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was and absolutely loved the donuts and Nutella for dessert.
Amazing food, great atmosphere
It was awesome!!!! Our server was extremely nice and seriously she was the only server there running about 6 tables?? She was such a trooper getting everyone their needs so quick!!! The food was awesome. I would go back for the bruschetta itself for sure!!!! And also the portions were pretty big we had so many left overs! Totally would come back to try the other dishes!!! So glad they were on the downtown dining week!
We visited for DT dining week. It was fun and the food was delicious. They made us feel safe and we saw them sanitizing everything.
Wonderful food. Pasta portion was huge. Social distancing was great.
Thank you - we enjoyed our dinner at Del Posto. It was our first time at the restaurant and we will come back. The servings are very generous and the leftovers that we took home were great.
Excellent food and great service.
Amazing service and food. Loved the ambience as well!
My wife and I loved this place, everything was perfect. We will come back soon 🙏🙏.
Our first time there, and we loved it. One person in our party was a health care worker and received a 30% discount. Will be coming back!
Food was delicious. Parking was easy. Service was great and the pasta was fantastic. Large portion (even took home some leftovers). Good value for price.
Hidden gem just off of Jasper. Food was excellent and service was great. Great value for good food.
Nice and cozy. The place is clean and staff are friendly. Amount of food is good considering the price. Overall the taste was good. Really liked the bruschetta!
