First visit to Del Posto and we will be back. We ordered the pasta and salad lunch special which was more than we can eat. The penne panna was very tasty with plenty of scallops and shrimp, a crispy Ceasar salad with a vinegarette dressing and garlic toast. The strawberry cheese was good. The lunch hour crowd was disappointing and it is obvious that workers have not returned to work downtown or inflation has impacted discretionary spend. The food, service, and value were above average at Del Posto. I just hope their lunch crowd returns soon.

Portions were generous and very tasty. The service was great. The place was clean but in need of an upgrade. Starting to shoe its age and very dated. Based on the taste of the food we will be back if in the downtown area.

Made a reservation for five to celebrate my friends birthday over dinner. It was our first time coming to a Del posto. It was not busy as there might’ve been one or two other parties there in the restaurant. We were entirely disappointed with the food, even though our server was very nice. It was our server making our drinks and it was evident she was not experienced in making drinks or cocktails as she did not know what a Shirley Temple consisted of. However, she was very nice and attentive. The fries one of us ordered were way too salty. They were saltier than McDonald’s fries. The margarita pizza did not have enough sauce on it and was dry, the gnocchi pasta I ordered, was dry and makes me wonder whether it’s frozen then thawed out and cooked. It did not taste like fresh pasta. The Panini was very soggy, the Bolognese pasta was some thing you could easily make at home and did not meet the $25 cost of the dish. The bottles of wine there are overly priced. Overall, we were not impressed with the food and beverages and will not be coming back. Maybe others had a better experience than we did and it was an off night.

Food was great. They sat 4 people at a table for two with a bunch of decor in the center, which made it very tight even though the restaurant was really empty. Only one waitress, so service was slow and hard to wave down after it got busier. Great little spot downtown and the ambiance was nice.

Our office group went there on a Thursday at lunch for a birthday celebration. There were 5 of us. The restaurant was not busy at all. It's a shame. Would be nice to see more people supporting local businesses. The food was very good. Nobody had any complaints and our server was very prompt and got all the various special requests handled without any issues. We would definitely go again.

The place itself is small, simple and quaint. Pay parking right across the street. The noise level was quiet as there was only one other table in for lunch. The service was really great (friendly, just the right amount of attentiveness)! The bruschetta and caprese salad was lovely flavours and tasted so fresh. The calamari was so so. The large prawns were cooked perfectly (not over done), sauce was okay. However, the prawns themselves were not fresh. They had that very old fishy taste that comes with non-fresh seafood. The server was wonderful though and gave us options (she could have them remade, which wouldn’t have helped) or take them off our bill. I appreciated the options and listening to our concern!

I ordered the tagliatelle limone - while the description said prosciutto I was surprised that it was just deli counter prosciutto plopped on top of the pasta. I guess I expected more. Coffee machine broken so no espresso/cappuccino. Service was prompt but "awkward".

6 of us for a business lunch, had to wait 45 minutes for our meal, even though there were only 4 other tables. Ceasar salad was disgusting. Could not eat it. Gunk on top of pale romaine stems. Yuk. Pizza was gross and swimming in olive oil. Loaded with stuff, but impossible to pick up or eat with knife and folk. Dripping in oil. Others at table were not impressed with poor, uninspired cooking. Two pasta dishes looked exactly the same although were supposed to be different. Waitress also seemed indifferent and not terribly helpful. Will not return.

Food was more about quantity than quality. Average tasting appetizers and pasta. I had a table of 4 during Edmonton's downtown dining week which turned out to be a poor decision. Their kitchen took an hour to bring out food. For some reason our pasta came before the salads.

Food serving are too big, food flavor was too bland and lack true Italian taste, however good enough to enjoy if you don’t have a strong food palate. Service was excellent, the host knew it was my birthday and she arranged a candle in my dessert. There is a large TV which doesn’t fit with the restaurant ambience and destroys the “talking to each other” experience.

They were a little understaffed for Downtown dining week. They were not expecting reservations to sell out the place and having to turn people away at the door. Lesson learned for next year. Food was amazing and tons of it. Chairs could use a refresh. Decor is average but clean. Food more than makes up for the casual dining atmosphere. Bruchetta / Aroncini / penne panna / Caesar salad all very good! Highly recommend it! We WILL be back.

Disappointing meal overall- had the linguini pescatore which was supposed to be in a tomato sauce with very little tomato flavour, the seafood was over cooked and half the mussels were close. Pizza was decent. Salad (arugula and beet) was too vinegary. We ordered club soda and it was flat - it should have been obvious this was the case and not served. Restaurant was moderately busy and not enough servers to take care of everyone. That said our server - in spite of having too much to do - was very lovely and did not lose her cool!

Went in early from our normal reservation and was seated quickly. We didn't have a babysitter so the 3 year old came with us. The restaurant not only catered with what they had but he actually ate his cheese pizza! Food came out quickly and the waitress was phenomenal.
