We came full of expectation and were not disappointed. The wonderful spices and use of sumac and pomegranate juice added depth to the tasty and flavourful food. Bravo!

Food and service was excellent. Everything we ordered was nice balanced and tasty. Ambience was lovely, the service was great. I would have preferred it to be a bit quieter, but hey, it was a busy restaurant on a Friday night.

We have a very nice lunch there , with a hospitable waitress and very nice dishes. Also like the airy ambiance inside . Will definitely return snd recommend to others.

Fantastic service! Delicious meals (duck breast fesenjoon was a lovely choice & roasted cauliflower starter) and cocktails (Persian Godfather & Bazaar Coffee Milk Punch were thoroughly enjoyed). Such a wonderful dining experience, chef's kiss.

Delicious flavours in everything we enjoyed at lunch from chicken barley soup, seeded sourdough, meatballs and salads. Even the tea was outstanding. Fresh ingredients, harmonious seasonings, herbs, sauces…can’t wait to try the dinner menu. Different from the usual choices but highly approachable food.

Delicious food, excellent service. Flavours wonderful. It was quiet at lunch time which was perfect as some restaurants are just too noisy to have a conversation without shouting and straining to hear. We were in the front atrium-like space which was a little bit cold due to all the glass, but the added heaters really helped and it was so nice to be in such a bright area. I would happily sit in this section again. The two of us ordered two main courses and the bread with dips to share. There was plenty of food and we ended up taking leftovers home. I loved the bread and dips. The owner's mum brought the food to our table -- what an honour to have the lovely lady present her own recipes! I highly recommend and will be back very soon.

Very good food. A bit too expensive for what you get. The ambience is off putting, very cold white, wooden furniture, no color and doesn’t feel comfortable.

Absolutely delicious food & beverages in a cute setting. We were seated next to the front window, so it was nice to see people passing by. Unfortunately the old wooden windows were a bit drafty. There was a little space heater provided, but I was still chilly. I’d definitely go again, as I’m eager to try more menu items.

The food was very good but our table by the window was very drafty. There was cool air coming through the window. I suggest if you use this section in the winter that you insert a cover over the window so it is more comfortable..

Chicken was tasteless, no sign of being charbroiled! Kofteh and sour bread was lovely including the ice cream. There is a pungent smell in the restaurant.

This was my first experience with Persian food, but it won’t be my last. We enjoyed our brunch and are looking forward to coming back for dinner sometime. Delicious, very flavorful, and filling. Like a big warm hug.

Delicious food and good service, but was terribly noisy and unable to have a conversation. Noisy people and lack of sound dampening was compounded by loud non-melodic music.

It was a great experience. Our toddler was a bit messy and honestly our group was chaotic but the server handled us with grace. The food was great and the flavour combos were unique. The portions were okay, but not unexpected. We will definitely be back again as the food was very tasty.

You can't decide which restaurant you are doing to go? Don't sweat and stop looking because there is Delara. The cuisine is outstanding: delicate, layers of tastes, whatever is it cauliflower, meat or fish. Everything is cooked in a perfection. Quantity is great: you can easily having dinner and a lunch to go with leftover...Service is friendly, attentive but still discreet. Last but not least: the prices are very affordable. Delara totally deserve the Michelin award. I am not afraid to say: best Mediterranean restaurant in town (if not BC) !

Very accommodating staff. Very friendly and professional. Tye food was not your ordinary Persian food, which was wonderful. The tastes were excellent. Loved our food! Wine selection was also very good. A lovy Rosé Champagne to start and then a white wine for me (chicken) and a lovely Honey, Mint & Cucumber drink for my partner. Again outstanding. Baklava was also very good and fresh. Overall it was an excellent experience. Highly recommended and we will be back!

This is about the 5th time eating at Delara. I plan on going through the entire menu. Today I had the chicken and barley soup with seedy bread, and side salad because I love that burberry dressing!!! My daughter had a special, which was a white bean and dill stew w/ egg and a side of the crispy saffron rice. The server said they’re considering putting this dish on the menu because it’s been so well liked. It was fabulous!! I really hope they do! Hi have lunch at Delara. You won’t be sorry! I love their food!

Braised beef - delicious. Lamb shoulder sandwich - delicious. Chairs not very comfortable. Front rim of the seat cut into the back of the thighs.

It’s been a joy to discover Delara. I have slowly been working my way through each of the lunch and dinner offerings. I found them to be inventive, varied, and delicious. Highly recommended.

Noise was loud, the wait staff who tended to our table was vacant for most of the meal, but my biggest disappointment was the food. I had the saffron mushroom stew which don’t have much flavour and was so salty I had to stop eating (the next morning my mouth was still so dry despite drinking 5-6 glasses of water while eating). I had been looking very forward to eating here but left disappointed. I will be going to my favourites Nuba and East is East.
