    It's best to enjoy the dessert room after a great dinner at Bern's for an "icing on the cake" experience. If you are ONLY showing up for the desert ...... it's simply not the same. We had a server that was most interested in providing the minimum effort.

    My friend and I had a very nice evening at the dessert room. Our desserts were delicious. I had the cheesecake. I forget what my friend ordered but she loved every bite of it, as did I ! Julia was our server. She was very sweet, professional, and knowledgeable. She gave us some perfect recommendations. The young man who sat us ( I forget his name) was also very kind and professional. Very enjoyable experience! Great food. Great service, Great atmosphere.

    We had the best waitress! She was so so patient with it being my family’s first time. She knew the menu and had the best recommendations. I attended with the party of seven and she was able to accommodate us and everything came out extremely fast. She was amazing.

    We were pretty cold and just weren’t blown away by the dessert (peanut butter truffle and creme brûlée). Was hoping for exceptional and it was simply fine. I think my favorite part of the dessert honestly was the complimentary birthday ice cream they brought, and I’m not usually an ice cream person.

    I’ve been to the dessert room before and this trip confirmed that it’s hit or miss. Last time, there were 4 of us: 2 desserts were exceptional, one was mediocre, and one was not good at all; it was left uneaten on the plate apart from our initial tastes. The setting is very unique and I usually enjoy it. It’s interesting bc you can listen to your own choice of music in each dining space, although sometimes you overhear others and it clashes. This trip, the staff sat us in the corner next to visible cleaning supplies, even though the room was empty. I ordered a brownie, which was dry and tasted like it had been made days ago. My husband’s seasonal dessert was delicious, but mine was a total disappointment. After this, I decided I won’t ever book a separate reservation for dessert again. It’s just not worth the price ($60 for 2 desserts, coffee, and one cocktail) and inconvenience of parking or $8 valet.

    For anyone who has been there before, the menu has changed, which was a let down. If you have never been there, it is fine. Service felt rushed, and it did not feel "special." The era might be over.

    Had been wanting to go here for a while. The baked Alaska was trash. It tasted like pure liqueur. The merengue had no flavor. There was cake that was doused in alcohol that was overwhelming. Also had the creme brulee which was okay but nothing out of the ordinary. Overall a very disappointing experience.

    Went for husbands birthday. Had port, expresso martinis, scotch dessert and coffee. Glad we did this on separate night from dinner...we couldn't have enjoyed as much on a full tummy. Loved the piano music.

    So every thing was going great until I ordered a second glass of wine. The first glass of Chianti was good the second glass that was brought to me was ice cold and was not the Chianti I ordered. I have had this happen before. Do they really think I would not be able to tell the difference!

    Fantastic experience! We went for our anniversary and were treated like royalty! We were seated in a little Glass enclosed booth with a door so it was our own private space. ❤️ We loved the ability to use the phone in the booth to make requests of the pianist and customize your dinner music. The room wasn’t soundproof once a large and loud group was seated in the room next to us but we still loved it. We added cheese selections to the desserts we ordered so it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet and every menu item was so delicious. We did select the trilogy of classics so we could sample more flavors. It is small sizes of three of the most popular desserts served as a sampler platter. Our waiter was excellent and brought us a complimentary pedestal dish of ice cream with sprinkles and a candle at the end. The desserts are pricey but perfect for special occasion. Highly recommend…it’s more than dessert — it’s an experience.
