We are pleased to announce that from Monday 1st May you will now be able to make reservations for tables in our fabulous & maturing Riverside Garden. Love the ambience and overall experience. The restricted menu for Riverside eating is too restricted. Not enough choice and side's too pricey. However, love the place, vibrant and stylish with excellent service but would consider expanding the menu so not dominated by pizza and expensive leafy sides

As always a beautiful setting with a great area with the river , trees and wild flowers . And that’s just the car park ! The outside dining is a gem with trailing vines in full sunshine on differing levels . Staff / Servers are all willing to help and make sure your visit is one to remember with a basic but tasty menu especially the homemade from scratch pizzas. If you have NOT tried the Devour you don’t know what you’re missing. Just one word of helpfulness , the staff need to keep an eye out for empty glasses as it’s a sign to refill them instead of the customer waving their arms around for attention. Loved it

Starters came after the main was served but there was a birthday party going on so was busy. Other than that it was a great dining experience.

We enjoyed a fabulous outdoor dining experience at Devour. The atmosphere cannot be found anywhere else locally to us, we are lucky to have Devour on our doorstep. Overall food was lovely - small plates but expensive - pork fritters £11.50 only 3 on a plate should have been £9.50. Afocato should have had 2 scoops of ice cream with Baileys at additional £3.50

The whole outdoor riverside dining experience was fantastic! The service was second to none with plenty of attentive and polite staff on hand The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. We only had pizza and a dessert but you could taste the quality of the ingredients The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful and stylishly done It was our anniversary and a lovely card had been put on our table We had such a good experience and will definitely be back

Had a pasta dish which was very bland and over priced, very small portion for £26!!! Drinks are very expensive! You pay city centre prices in a town!!! Won’t be returning in a hurry!

Beautiful outside dining area, views of the river and ambient ibiza tunes as it was a bank holiday. The atmosphere was lovely, relaxed and a genuine good vibe outside. The food was delicious, came out quick and the staff were very attentive. Glasses stayed full and as it was a bit chilly was even offered a blanket 😊 Once our allocated time was up we were moved inside to carry on with drinking, the inside was lovely but the atmosphere was completely different. The chilled vibe of the ibiza tunes didn't carry on through (one of the reasons we chose to go here because of the outdoor ibiza event) instead we had a playlist that repeated the same songs often and didn't have the same relaxed vibe. It was such a shame there wasn't a drinking area outside so we could have continued listening to the ibiza vibe. Over all lovely staff, beautiful place, delicious food. Would recommend and return if we are in the area.

We are sorry you weren't aware of the differing menu in our Riverside dining area before you dined and we appreciate that you would have liked the main menu to have been offered. However, our outside dining area is for drinks and more relaxed dining for our guests (weather permitting). We booked this restaurant as a birthday surprise for our mum who had just finished treatment for breast cancer . We had spoken with the staff in person requesting a certain table outside - they said no problem , when we arrived at devour the table was not available! We preordered cocktails that the bar staff had been given the wrong time and so we’re not ready. We were constantly without drinks with no staff to request any . All our food order did not arrive , we ordered ice cream for our 22 month old and and 5 year old with no spoons to eat them with , we cleared our own table , we did let staff know we were unhappy , they gave us 15% off our bill ,not the surprise we wanted for our mum who has been through so much !

Setting was beautiful, pizza was delicious. They brought the wrong food initially, a drink in a cracked glass, and then the wrong bill at the end (which was double what we had spent) all worked out fine in the end but all made it less enjoyable. Also the salads were very small for the price. The description on the menu sounded much nicer than how they came.

Lovely food but poor service. Nobody checked that everything was ok, no one asked about extra drinks and we had to request dessert menus and flag someone down to order. It also wasn’t made clear on the booking page that outdoors would be a different menu.

Sat outside and was pretty cold and windy - not the restaurants fault but also not the nicest. REALLY loud table of 6 ladies next to us. REALLY really loud. Food and service was brilliant as usual Definitely wouldn’t book outside again though - too risky

Hi - the pizza was very good but we had to wait a long time to order and drinks seemed to take a long time to arrive especially when we could see them sat on the bar for 10 minutes before being delivered to our table. The tea after our meal was also stewed , we suspect it had been sat a while waiting to be brought to our table. Americans was good and the mint choc gelato excellent. We will be back

lovely meal for father’s day , beautiful location . my only niggle was that when outdoor dining all the food comes together so not much room on the table , difficult with a baby in a high chair trying to grab everything

Didn’t think I’d booked an outside table and all I can think of is that when trying to book an indoor table the times presented are for outdoor tables where that time isn’t available and the reservation confirmation email doesn’t make that clear either) so I was initially disappointed to be sat outside especially when we realised it’s a different menu. However the manager was great and arranged with the chef for us to order off the indoor menu if we weren’t happy with the alternative. In the end we went for tapas/pizzas and thankfully the weather was good. As always the food was very good and the setting is lovely

Lovely setting- We we’re booked in and asked to wait for our table while it was being cleaned. We sat for 20 minutes and no one offered us a drink or a menu. We went and asked for the drinks menu and when some finally came to take our drinks order I asked them what was happening with our table as it was now 25 minutes since we arrived for our reservation. The lady said she would chase and soon after we were seated. When explaining the menu the girl explained how it worked but failed to let us know what was unavailable so when went to order we had to change our minds very quickly . Staff seemed stressed. The small plates came which were nice although the lemon risotto was not good. However, the pizza was lovely. The building and outside area was beautiful and everything was to a very high standard. I was disappointed that the food and service wasn’t up to the usual standard I have heard from people. The waitress when taking payment chatted and explained about staffing issues which I understand can happen and if explained at the start would have been much better.

Great menu; lots of choice; good quality, fresh ingredients. Lovely place! Service was great but staff could have been a little more attentive and taken orders sooner. That said, it’s really annoying when staff are constantly interrupting your drinks/ meal, too!

Had a fabulous night at Devour for their live band night. The singer and her band were great and the outside eating area by the river is amazing. Yes the service was a little slow at times but you could clearly see the staff were working flat out to ensure everyone was being looked after. Don’t care that the service was a bit slow anyhow as we had some great music to listen to while we waited (maybe some nibbles while we waited would have been good but not a major issue). Hope more of these events will be arranged for the future. It was like being on holiday without actually going on holiday! Superb evening.

Was very excited to take my girlfriend as I have been before and really loved the place. Unfortunately our visit was tarnished by poor service and a lack of staff. Initially waited to be seated then waited a further 15 mins before asked for drinks, drinks took a further 15 mins to arrive. That was the first and last drink we managed to get, even after ordering they never arrived. On a positive, the food was fantastic although they missed a dish off and brought it out after we had eaten. Really disappointed as it’s always been a great place to go and enjoy food and drink.

Lovely to eat outside, staff friendly and helpful. Could probably do with couple of additions to outdoor menu ( sides). Enjoyed the food and great choice of drinks

Beautiful restaurant. Very nice pizza and good service but you definitely pay for that. Is it worth it - I think so but for a treat.
