Doc Magilligan's Restaurant & Irish Pub Ratings and Reviews
Had a wonderful time, food, staff and atmosphere eere exceptional. We were here for our anniversary and would definitely come back again!
Love this place, good energy, always good food and great beer. Fantastic entertainment , always a good crowd in there.
It was all excellent! Food, ambiance and drinks were great. Will definitely be going again.
Wow, we were so impressed! Wished we lived closer, but we will be back!! All 3 of us loved our different dishes. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try!
Great atmosphere. Very nice server. The food overall is very good, except the meat loaf is bland and a bit dry. Still worth the drive, and there are many things on the menu we want to try. Recommended.
Was there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Our waiter was very friendly, helpful and the cheesecake in honour of the birthday boy was fantastic. Overall our food and experience was excellent and my son's menu option was " phenomenal" A fabulous spot in the Falls. We will be back for sure!
Matt the server was spectacular. Restaurant ambiance was excellent. Food was very good. Extremely enjoyable experience
My husband liked his roast beef dinner very much. My roast chicken however was very dry. The ambiance of the place is nice, that’s about it.
We loved the pub. The food, drink and atmosphere were awesome. This is truly a great example of an Irish pub
Great food, great atmosphere, great value. A fun happening place.
Not the best Irish restaurant I've ever been to but everyone enjoyed their food. The place looks great inside and you wouldn't know it's attached to a hotel. I hate that we missed the live Irish music.
Awesome dining experience! We will definitely return when we visit Niagara again👍👍
very very good, nice place and food was great . I will recommend to all my friends
This was our 52nd wedding Anniversary! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the special waitress we had! She made our date a truly memorable event! She should get a raise.
Food and service was great, we even received a complimentary dessert. It was so good, sticky toffee pudding. Yum!
BLT Nachos were great, kids menu was average to poor, Beet Salad had hardly any beets. My son Loved the fish and chips.
Was OK .. Not outstanding.
We love this restaurant! The food and service are excellent and we love the Ireland theme.
Our server was very friendly, attentive and helpful. We started out by trying the Poutine. Neither of us had ever had it before and it was very tasty. I ordered the Bangers and Mashed and it was quite good. It was not the best that I have had, but it was among the better offerings. The mashed potatoes were buttery and the sausages were well seasoned but not overwhelmingly so. Beans came with the dish which seemed a bit odd; I had never had that combo before and didn't feel it necessary. My wife had the shepherd's pie and it was delicious. The meat and vegetables were tender and the sauce/gravy was savory and very enjoyable. The mashed potato "lid" was creamy with just the right amount of crust on top. It was a relaxing atmosphere and the food was good. I would recommend to other.
The food was perfect and the wiatress was particularily great and was very aware of our needs.
We went here for dinner. It was close to our hotel. Service was great; seated quickly. Food was good. I would recommend.
Excellent food and service. The beer flights were great! Loved the decor.
We visited this restaurant based on the strong reviews on OpenTable. First, the outside of the restaurant is charming and inviting; same with the interior decor. The atmosphere is excellent. We had fantastic service from a gentleman waiter. I regret that I don't recall his name.
We ordered the Reuben bites which were just "ok." They were hot, just not what I was expecting.
For dinner, my husband and I shared the Taste of Ireland meal. Quite frankly, the best part of that dish was the curry chicken. The rest was relatively flavorless and disappointing. I was thrilled that they had Smithwicks on draft. The beer was served nice and cold, and swiftly.
This place could be fantastic if they could up the flavor a bit in the food.
Food was pretty good, had the platter and the curry and shephards pie was good but the irish stew was lacking both meat and potato. One member of our group had it as his meal and was really disappointed. Live band was good and our server who was lots of fun. Good for groups, a little off the strip, about a 20 minute walk.
The service started out fantastically but once the server got another two tables, we went largely ignored. A complaint about a meal went unaddressed by the server, who also took 25 minutes to bring our bills after asked, and forgot an order of wings for more than a half hour.
The server did not look happy to be there, didn't care to offer helpful food suggestions when asked, and looked like she would rather be anywhere but working.
The food was just okay - standard stuff but it isn't authentic Irish food. Two people ordered the shepards pie and both hated it (and one was stone cold in the centre) so I would suggest not getting that!
My husband and I, my husband being from Dublin, Ireland really enjoyed dinner here. The appetizers were to die for, must try the Reuben Bites! Very nice decor, great cocktail menu, Father Ted was outstanding. Steak was cooked to perfection and served with a perfect pint of Guinness! Must see if visiting Niagara Falls.
Met up with friends to celebrate my birthday. We had a selection of the appetisers and they were great! Too full to have dessert there so I was given a rather huge piece of the chocolate cheesecake to eat at home. A very delicious birthday treat!
We should have sat farther away from the band because it was difficult to talk but that's not the restaurant's fault. Then again, such sound levels are not good for the ears. I took a course once with a former member of Glass Tiger and he was going deaf in his late twenties. Hmmm.
The food was great and the crab cakes were the best
Terrific Food, very reasonable prices, excellent pub atmosphere. Totally worth the drive to get away from the Fallsview Blvd overpricing. Live music on weekends. And they have Harp beer on tap!
A good walk from the Falls area but glad we made the effort. Our server seemed very busy but took time to update and explain the delays. That said when she took the order and delivered the food she was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definately recommend. All food was very good.
Always great food and service. Our server was a pleasure. Our go to place when we hit the falls.
Food was good but a little cold when it came out. good atmosphere. Service was excellent. Music was at a nice level. Easy to carry on a conversation.
Great little Irish pub ! We were there late and pretty much got the place to ourselves ! The food was great but our bartender/waiter made the whole experience . Dennis was great and so personable . I would recommended this place to anyone
Awesome place, first time here, service was amazing and definitely will be back !!
Went for a bachelorette party, the food was great, service was great, live band was amazing and overall we had an absolute blast. The unfortunate part was when the bachelorette got sick from what we think was the fish she ate there and she had to head back to the hotel for the night.
Over all it was a good time and a great band. The only complaint is that we made a reservation and we were very uhappy where they wanted to sit us. We asked for a few different tables and they would not let us sit there. The girls ended up giving those tables to people who walked in. What was the point of a reservation???? We ended up sitting at the bar which I wasn't too happy with.
Went for a family birthday and had a great time. The food, the service and the ambiance were all marvelous. It was the first time we had been there, but it definitely won't be the last.
Great 3vening service was fantastic. Bans was great. Highly recommend going to see The Chasers next time they are at Docs@
Awesome food. Nice amniance. Very clean. Prices are cheap. Staff are very helpful and friendly we are going back
We love Doc's! LOVE the Irish Pub decor & food! Great entertainment & friendly fun staff!
Wish we lived closer!
This was a really good restaurant that my husband and our friends went to for their anniversary. The food was really good and great quantity for the amount you paid. The waiter we had was very nice and helpful. Overall, it was a really good experience. They also have live bands there at night.
