Doc Magilligan's Restaurant & Irish Pub
A pound of crispy chicken wings, either Buffalo style or with Doc's dry rub. Served with celery and carrot sticks and house made blue cheese.
Steak & Mushroom Pie
A traditional braised steak & mushroom pie served in a flaky crust with fries or a side salad.
Lobster stuffed ravioli, in a rich tomato and cheese cream sauce, served with garlic toast.
Food was disappointing. My husband had the half rack of ribs and needed force with knife and fork to eat them. Left 3/4 behind. My fish was standard but ordered 2 piece and only came with one tartar sauce. Also where we sat the table beside us had a couple with a young kid that swore like truckers. Plus I went to the ladies room and a man walked in with a young girl and decided to take a leak in the stall beside me. I was so uncomfortable that I stayed in the stall until they left. So on that note we will not be returning.
Quick easy stop on our way out of town. The food as not as good as we were hoping but pretty good value.
We ordered from the "Restaurant Week" menu. Although food was good, it would have been nice of they had actual IRISH food on special
There were only two servers (that we could find/see) on a holiday Monday? Not great. Took forever for food/service but it was not the servers fault, she was trying!
Plus being a vegetarian, there were only two veggie mains and they were sold out of one of them....grrrr
The dessert menu was bizarre...five or six different kinds of cheese cake (I hate cheesecake) and a banana pie thing? Variety might be nice!
Plus side? The meat eating people liked their lamb burgers but their fries were cold, so was the tea...so depressing dinner out all around...
It was our first time there, thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely return.
The food was great, bar service was quick and friendly would eat here again.
Great food and service!
One of the better restaurants for price and flavour. Good food presentation. Not necessarily for kids but good either way
Amazing food, amazing drinks, service was good after we finally got a server. Would highly recommend this restaurant - especially if you want to feel like you are in Dublin!
The best Irish pub I have been in since Waterford, Ireland. The food and service was well above what I was expecting. Would love to visit again.
Yumminess here always. Lots of great Irish dishes and beers. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food is always good. A gem of a restaurant in Niagara Falls that won't break the bank.
Great food great staff
Best pub in the Falls. Food n portion size excellent. Ambiance great. Highly recommended. Great music too.
Service was good, food was ok. We made a reservation and went to see the band but our table was really far away.
Staff was friendly, great food, great service great band. Convenient location attached to a Best Western which was great for NYE!!!!
Some of the best fish and chips you can get! Service was great and prices were reasonable!
Awesome. Great food. Stephanie was a kind attentive server.
The Boxty fries are glorious and the cocktail menu is amazing so many options.
Food and service was excellent. Could have used a little more space because there were so many people at the table beside us,they had to be moved to an extended table right behind us...cramping us into the corner a wee bit. But all in all it was a very good dinner.
Great food & really like the menu choices. Prices were good value. The Irish sampler is a great choice for sharing or as a meal! Our server Dawn was excellent and went over & above!
Nice place. Good food with HUGE portions! A little dark but I guess what do you expect for a pub? Recommended.
Food was excellent! Server was polite and nice!
Fireball was playing and Rob is our friend do over 20 years.
We had Fresh chip Nachos salad big enough for two.
Atmosphere was excellent and we had a great table.
Music was good volume Fireball band was played extremely well.
Fresh Chips Nacho were very tasty drinks were festive.
Good idea the make reservations because Band has a good following.
I have told friend about Your Irish pub.You will see us again.
I ordered the baked haddock with lemon and herbs. This is why I rated the food very low. I did not like it at all very strong flavour it stayed with you I could not eat it. But the server refunded my money back which was fantastic. The rest of my family loved their meal.
I got the blueberry bbq pulled pork sandwich and it was awesome except I didn’t fully taste the bbq sauce until I asked for a side of it. It’s fantastic but you really can’t taste it at all on the sandwich. Cannot state enough how good that sauce is though, I would buy a bottle if I could.
Fries are gross to be honest, like McCain fries but worse.
Server was really nice and struck a nice balance of checking in but also leaving us alone to enjoy our date.
We had a party of 10 and had a great experience from start to finish. Our server was very pleasant and the food was great.
Absolutely beautiful space. Food was fantastic and the service was great. Would definitely go back just for the Irish Pierogies!
Good Pub food, excellent service, very friendly and attentive staff
Went here for our anniversary and it was our first time in Niagara Falls. Not far from out hotel and the reviews were good so we tried it out. Definitely didn't disappoint and it became a favorite spot. Cozy, friendly staff, food was absolutley delicious and dessert, yummy. We will be back.
Wait staff attentive. Atmosphere everything we expected. Beer ice cold. Starters excellent. Irish sampler incredible! Fish n chips crispy outside, soggy mush inside.
Excellent food, great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!!
My choice for dinner was a sampling of Shepherd's Pie, Steak and Mushroom Pie, and Madras Chicken Curry. I'm not sure which of them was best; I guess the Shepherd's Pie because that was the only one I was able to finish. Delicious. My husband was very happy with the Fish & Chips. Nice evening!
Food is always amazing but service is always subpar....little customer attention (asking for drink refils or trying to get the bill) and no server interactions...like talking to robots
We had a great meal and really enjoyed our visit.
We'll be back.
It was good but there is very limited gluten-free options. I would expect more from a restaurant in a tourism city.
We went here after reading excellent reviews. Having been to numerous Irish pubs around the world, this one, unfortunately, was sub par. Really wanted to like it, but service was slow and the food was dull. I had the fish and chips and it came out nearly burnt. The chips weren’t bad, but the fish could’ve been a bit better. As a matter of fact, each meal anyone at our table had wasn’t the best. And to top things off, paring is HORRIBLE! Do yourself a favor and try another restaurant. You’ll be glad you did.
I would recommend this restaurant for a reasonably priced family style meal. The food we had was hot, did not have to wait too long for it and enjoyed drinks while waiting. My only dissapointment was that the french fries were not as hot as they could have been but overall a good meal.
Fun night dining at Doc Muggiligan's Irish Pub. Was recommended by Airbnb owner. Made a reservation for 7:15 pm. Glad we did reserve. Told at the door there would be a 45 minute wait for a kitchen order. Decided to stay & watch the Blue Jays on tv while waited for dinner. Was not disappointed! Had the Fish Pie- shrimp, scallops, mashed potatoes covered in cheese with a garden salad. Was delicious. Husband had the Sheppard's Pie which was home style with side salad & said was very good. Husband had an Irish lager beer & myself drank water. Live band was coming on at 9:30 we were told but we left when they arrived as had a long day of driving.
Only negative was the very long wait for food to arrive, but we were warned Unsure why kitchen staff weren't prepared as was a Friday night, busy in most restaurants so thinking they would be prepared with extra help! Overall, great fun & would recommend & return when in Niagara Falls.
The food is always delicious and they also have a yummy kids menu for our young children (7 and 4).
We've been to several restaurants within the city and nothing compares to Doc Mcgilligans. We seem to always come back here, and will continue to do so.
Good food, relaxing atmosphere!
